- It's two years since Russia invaded Ukraine and in that time thousands of Ukrainian soldiers have come to the UK as part of what's called Op Interflex.
Forces News' Ukraine correspondent Simon Newton has been to the south-west of England to meet the latest batch of Ukrainian troops undergoing training with the British Army.

What I find shocking is that we couldn't ramp up our ammo production and how we underestimate the role artillery still plays.
Maybe outsource it to China?
Stalin called artillery--- The gods of War...
Yes, I remember when you said that on day one
We didn't. Ukraine is just a very unique situation where ground mass artillery is necessary due to both sides lacking modern military air power.
They found out that the 155mm rounds, propellant, barrels, etc… were not consistent across NATO countries. Each country wanted to manufacture at home for their own economies and are not uniform.
It is also ironic that some of these Ukrainians have had more combat experience than the Nato soldiers training them.
US troops have far more urban combat experience and the Ukrainians have trench warfare experience.
That's why western militaries record and pass down experience and NATO has a lot of experience.
@@Ronmexico211I’m glad you were joking about the US having more urban combat experience. Russian "meat waves" aren't even effective in Ukraine. If Russia tried that against NATO it would have no military left in a week.
NATO isn't reliant on mostly ground artillery for battlefield support, it has massive and much more importantly highly effective air forces. We've already seen just how ineffective Russian integrated air defences are and as F-35s become operational in air forces all across Europe this will create a total nightmare for Russian commanders at all levels.
Even nuclear as the F-35 is now rated to carry to large nuclear shapes. On a platform that would have no issue penetrating into Russian air space to any distance its fuel can take it.
