- Are the rumours true that Russia is planning a major counter-offensive against Ukraine later this year?
Ukraine's president Volodymyr Zelensky has stated his belief that an attack is planned in either May or June this year, and as Russia begins launching more ferocious attacks more often it is possible that his fears are well founded.
But what evidence is there that the Russian armed forces are planning another offensive?

Russia has took far more than 1% of Ukraine territory. It's apparently closer to 15%.
1.3 million Ukrainians are in Russia as refugees, apparently around 3 million under Russian occupation still within Ukraine.
Russia has took enough people & land to negate personnel/economic losses many times over.
This is what you brainlets don't understand.
The Russians tried using 160,000 troops to seize a country with at the time over 380,000 troops in a western style fast moving forces to (ironically) avoid bloodshed.
Now they're taking land, people, and resources that Ukraine will never get back.
The literal only way Ukraine has a chance now is if NATO further escalated by sending active uniformed combat forces against Russia openly.
Keep in mind also 57 countries have sent hundreds of billions dollars, tens of thousands of vehicles, billions of rounds, tens of millions of artillery and missiles of all types. Yet Russia is winning.
The US hoped to cripple Russia for its upcoming conflict against China (which 100% will happen) and it's failed.
Russia will never again sit comfortably nor trust us again.
We are the bad guys, slowly moving these pawns into positions to provoke this conflict in the first place and it's backfired badly.
When Trump gets in office Ukraine will be forced to make a peace deal giving up land or be forced to go with Europe as a backer only.
Europe has nowhere near the capacity to replace what the US can produce.
900 troops a day sounds very exaggerated or propaganda. If you are also saying they have reconstituted Thier military 100%
Each year 750 000 men turn 18 in Russia. They actively mobilize around 30 000 men a month which is 360 000 in a year. They don't even need everyone to sustain these current casualties so it is pretty plausible.
My thoughts too. Id like to see this evidence.
The fact that they don't mention Ukrainians losses says something
500k+ Ukrainian dead, 50-70k Russians. They shell at 10x the rate of Ukraine (more reliable equipment too). 70% of deaths in this kind of conventional fighting comes from shelling.
And you if you get wounded you really want to be in the army that is not retreating and where the minimum training of your colleagues is 6 months and not 5 weeks.
agreed 900 losses per day is a gross exaggeration, i would like to know what the "sources" for these stats are, and what they have to gain from posting such inflated numbers.

Ukraine and West spent 6 months announcing the big Ukrainian push back in spring/Summer well Autumn last year.
And Russia spend a huge effort building 3 lines of defence for it (the first line was just about breached in Rabotino - it cost Ukraine tens of thousands of lives).
No one is going to know what Russia are doing till a day or two in advance.

@@ThaDonJsuan Technically they've got what they wanted, secured eastern Ukraine and reached Kiev in two days and stayed there untill the Istanbul Agreements in April 2022 and they pulled back out of the north-eastern area. They would've used 450-600k troops from the start if they really wanted to take over the country and not only with 190.000 around the east only. Meanwhile Ukraine's army is already degraded very badly

bigger offensive are not possible, because high concentration of troops will be signaled, by air and sattelite recon, the strategy of using numerous small fighting group could breach the front in several point, cause ukraine is unable to keep such a large continuos front. The complete collapse of the front will come with a collapse of morale, when will be evident money and weapons won't come anymore.
