Two years on from Russia's invasion of Ukraine and a delegation of Ukrainian healthcare officials is visiting the Defence Medical Rehabilitation Centre (DMRC) in the UK.
The facility, at Stanford Hall, near Loughborough, replaced the original rehabilitation centre at Headley Court in Surrey and is considered one of the best in the world for helping military personnel on their rehabilitation journey.
The UK has stood alongside Ukraine throughout its fight against Russia and now is helping the country build its own version of the DMRC.

I do hope adequate funding can be found to support this initiative, it must be difficult to so at the pressent time.

Great initiative, one thing you can bet on is that combatants on the Russian side won't be receiving anything like this support.
I understand that the Soviet veterans returning from Afghanistan in the late 80s received next to no support from the State. Many turned to each other and the more disaffected factions effectively became the Russian mafia.

I cant begin to express the gratitude and respect for all these brave men and women.
I would love for this war to stop tommorrow with Russian pulling out of all occupied land...and, electing leaders that will not declare war on neighbors.
How deeply do I pray that Europe and all who want free of Putin, achieve that in Ukraine.
    Stop Putin...save the next generation.
    Ukraine, Israel and Russia.

We have homeless veterans, some with PTSD/substance abuse dying in the streets.
I have nothing against Ukrainians, but why do they receive help ?

@@johnpixie you didn't understand the gist of my question. Had the UK not financed the war in the first place, there would be no need to try and repair the damage it helped create in the first place.

    • @johnpixie
      @johnpixie 3 месяца назад +2

@@daniellee8565 we did not create the damage, we funded, suplied and trained a nation that was being invaded and asked for our help. you honestly think the right thing to ddo was to let them lose their independnce to a country that historicly did not treat them well. not saying that war is the good option but we are not the aggresors prolongong the war and targating civilians. end of the day it nice and all to say we should not have got involded but we are. the question is not about prevention its about solving a problem.

Question: who cares about this war?
    Who's behind this?
    Who earns the big money?
Why are so many people dying?
Do you want to know? follow the money trail.
