    So the overall effect of the GH on liver, general body cell and tissues and adipocytes can be summarized thus
    In the liver it would stimulates release of insulin like growth factors which would bring about growth in bones, increase in cell metabolism. And did you say metabolism would lead to amino acid uptake? Breakdown of lipid? And spike in blood sugar level? The latter confuses me. How is metabolism happening without energy? And what is the source of energy other than glucose? And how is the igf 1 supposed to be insulin like if it is not increasing glucose uptake?

    When you talk about inhibiting and stimulating would that be the same as permissiveness, synergism, and antagonism? My professor wants us to know those three terms and what hormones do which ones. Thank you
