Were you familiar with the way recipes are written? I'd love to hear if this was helpful for you tackling new recipes! You can read the full lesson here: bakerbettie.com/how-to-read-and-understand-a-recipe/
Reading my mother or grandmother and beyond recipe is pretty easy, the newer recipes with grams and other weight are tricky since I don't have a handy conversion tool yet. I do have a scale on the way so I will be learning to weigh.
This is so helpful. I’ve always been intimidated by recipes with more than 5 ingredients, lol, so baking bread is my favorite thing to do. Now that I understand the way to approach a recipe I’ve been branching out with nice results. Thank you Bettie 💓
This was so awesome!!! I never knew these things as im just finally starting to bake. As an italian cook we dont measure, so baking seemed to complicated!! Thank you😁
It sucks when following recipes perfectly and they're still terrible 😂 Sometimes I wonder if people actually make all the recipes they share or put into cookbooks. Another great video!
