I’m impressed! It’s really hard for me to get motivated to mend unless it’s something I absolutely love wearing. One thing that I’ve learned to do is to interface the button and buttonhole area even when I don’t interface the whole waistband. I’ve had the fabric under the button wear and fray on a pair of pants I really loved and had to mend it with lots of stitching. I’ve also had some wonky buttonholes when I didn’t interface them, so now I always interface those areas. That was a real bummer about your washing machine eating your pajama top. I’ve only had that happen once on a RTW garment and it was so frustrating. I hope you were able to save them. After seeing the bustier, I can’t wait to see your new dress. I hope you and your family have a lovely and relaxing vacation.
Yes!! I did this to the un-interfaced portion of my shorts but forgot to do it again when I was mending- and didn’t do either pairs. I honestly don’t think either jeans will last long due to the poor recovery of the denim… I will try and remember for next time!
I love the feeling of wearing something I mended and can be used again! 😎
Yes totally! It’s so satisfying!
You've inspired me to consider mending instead just getting rid of my me-made clothes ty.
Mending can be so daunting! I’m trying to do more of it too!
Really fun and inspiring video, thank you!
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for watching!
That is a really aggressive washing machine. It eats clothes. You did a great job mending all these items
Thank you 🤗
