I always have to listen to this song at least two times before I sleep, I don't really know why, but I guess its just something my brain or body needs to calm down... Maybe its the part where she sings, 'we told you this was melodrama, you wanted something that we offer', makes my brain thinks that its the end of the day and telling the audience (people in my life), that the show is over. Kind of a weird thought, I'll stop rambling.
We all have things that we relate to in some fashion or another, many times in an unconscious way. It could be the lyrics, the melody, or something that stirs a memory. It could very well have a calming effect or spark an imaginative idea. That's both the power and beauty of music, it can move us without us having to know the exact reason. We can spend time analyzing it, or not, there is no right or wrong and no one can tell us what we should or shouldn't do and think about it. It is all deeply personal while still somehow being a very cohesive and collaborative medium. Personally I can't sleep without music and unless I'm doing something where listening to music separately would be distracting, (like watching a movie, playing a game, or on RUclips,) I generally have some form of music on, all dependent on what type of mood I'm currently in. I guess what I'm saying is, it isn't a weird thought. :-)
really? I mean its a very good song but I wouldn't expect you to listen it before sleep, especially out of all the lorde songs, since of the trap beat, I would expect something like liability
You asked if I was feeling it, I’m psycho high Know you won’t remember in the morning when I speak my mind Lights are on and they’ve gone home, but who am I? Oh, how fast the evening passes, cleaning up The champagne glasses We told you this was melodrama (Oh, how fast the evening passes Cleaning up the champagne glasses) Our only wish is melodrama (Oh, how fast the evening passes Cleaning up the champagne glasses) And the terror And the horror When we wonder why we bother And the terror and the horror God, I wonder why we bother All the glamour and the trauma and the fuckin' Melodrama All the gun fights And the lime lights And the holy sick divine nights They’ll talk about us, all the lovers How we kiss and kill each other They’ll talk about us, and discover How we kissed and killed each other We told you this was melodrama You wanted something that we offer
I did, and I will be posting Ribs shortly, although I've been debating whether to cut the costume change out or not. It isn't like she is naked or anything, and once she starts changing it goes pretty dark so you can barely see anything anyways, which makes me wonder if that section is worth putting up. It is pretty much just an extended bit of drawn out music to give her enough time, mixed in with cheers from the audience.
It was. Overall I don't think it was too revealing in the end. I mean, she DID do it on stage where people could see her and she didn't take anything off that went too far. I guess I will post it all just for keeping things intact.
If you could only listen to 3 songs for the rest of your life- what would they be and why? (Genuinely asking. This video prompted this thought) don’t answer quickly, think about it and get back to me!
this is not a simple song. it's a feeling
yes yes yes and yes
this and Ribs always hit different
Omfg!!! You are the truth. What’s up best friend. 😝
@@Niyati99 it’s world alone for me. But I understand your comparison on ribs.
Scorpio feelings
i love how the lights are the same color as the album cover
Theyre all bright colors behind a black black backround. I love the album asthetic
The ppl who did the choreography are rrly talented
They are. Everyone did a very good job on the tour, from the crew to the band to the dancers to of course Lorde herself. :-)

Damn, thanks for that amazing explanation and response.
I do the exact same thing that’s crazy
I have the exact same situation with Ribs and The Louvre.

How remarkable: THIS SONG was on my mind today, the whole day long... It makes me shivering....
It is a good song, as are they all. I am glad I recorded it, just wish it didn't end up being a tradeoff with the songs I missed...
i live for this song tbh
Always a pleasure to find a recording of this quality. The next best thing to actually being there in person. Thank you ever so much.
You're welcome. That is always my goal, to make it an experience where someone watching it can feel as if they are there living in that moment.
Die Hard you did that well
Thanks! I did what I set out to do then.
THE VISUALS ARE SOMETHING ELSE I SWEAR
fave lorde song
You asked if I was feeling it, I’m psycho high
Know you won’t remember in the morning when
I speak my mind
Lights are on and they’ve gone home, but who am I?
Oh, how fast the evening passes, cleaning up
The champagne glasses
We told you this was melodrama
(Oh, how fast the evening passes
Cleaning up the champagne glasses)
Our only wish is melodrama
(Oh, how fast the evening passes
Cleaning up the champagne glasses)
And the terror
And the horror
When we wonder why we bother
And the terror and the horror
God, I wonder why we bother
All the glamour and the trauma and the fuckin'
Melodrama
All the gun fights
And the lime lights
And the holy sick divine nights
They’ll talk about us, all the lovers
How we kiss and kill each other
They’ll talk about us, and discover
How we kissed and killed each other
We told you this was melodrama
You wanted something that we offer
Sober, sober, soberrr!!
I know you said you missed one song and parts of two other songs, did you happen to get Ribs + the costume change at the end of the song?

Just saw her last night damn she was amazing and would love if you posted ribs
But finally it is part of the performance and rather unique, isn't it? For that reason it would be a precious document to me.

I love this performance >:(
I can’t wait to see her in May.
I would shit absolutely everywhere if I heard this live.
Pure feelings
