How to Save an iPad / iPhone Slideshow as a Video or File

- Explained step by step clearly and without time wasting waffle. On the iPad and iPhone you select Photos, Album, Slideshow, and it plays on the iPad or iPhone.
This video shows you how if you want to save the slideshow that plays on the iPad / iPhone to a file or save as a video that you can share with friends by email, to Facebook, RUclips, Apple Files, Google Drive or iMessage.
I didn't see a record button either. In its place is a camera icon. I'll try to add in settings.
For some reason neither mine nor my husbands I pad minis have the function of pulling down the control center. Is there any way you could tell me how to do that. This would be so helpful as it would make this video really useful, without it I'm stuck. Thanks so much!

No control panel whatsoever. Must be a different version.

This button was NOT part of the control center on this fairly new ipad. I cannot thank you enough for your post. Wish I had seen it before I wasted over an hour trying to figure it all out. 👍😉😊

What if you do not have a red button next to the camera?
I followed your video and all the steps worked until I went to “pull down” the right corner to get the button to record what is playing on the screen. There was a camera button, and others, but no button with the box and dot in it to record? How do I find that? Please help!

Don’t see a record button
I followed your steps & I selected 47 photos & started the recording of my screen with the video. After awhile it stopped on one photo & the video didn’t go any further. I repeated the recording of the screen several times & each time it stopped at a different spot. Any suggestions? Thanks!

I’m late to the party but thank you this is was very helpful. One question though, when trying to edit the video I don’t see the 3 dots to bring up the edit actions, so though I have a very nice slideshow I can’t edit it any further.

I tried to select the pictures in the photo icon. I did exactly like you shown and the video of slideshow came out. However, I did not get how to save the selected pictures on the photo into the new folder. Can you help me please? My job is taking a lot of pictures of the property of the different owners. So I want to place the correct pictures in the right folder of each owners . Then I can track them easily.
I will do a vid and upload it later on today. thanks for the suggestion. Just to confirm: 1. Create folders and put photos in them 2. Name folders. That is all?

What version of iOS is this? I don’t see a record button when I pull down from top right?
all last 6 versions including latest. it’s an option to add in settings if not there.
