I have been running a small animal sanctuary for the past three years supported by myself. I was contacted by a couple of people telling me that the only way people can manage to have sanctuaries and rescue centres is to rely entirely on donations. I had absolutely no idea, so I’m in the process of setting up a new sanctuary Facebook page and have spent literally hours and hours trying to do a slideshow on my iPhone from my photo library. As you know you can’t save anything on there and it was a disaster and I was becoming very despondent until I found you. It was a lightbulb moment! Your brilliant video and excellent explanatory skills have been a lifesaver. Hopefully today I’ll set my new page up with slideshow.. So many many thanks, and keep doing what you are so very good at!

I'm thinking of trying to set up the ability to accept donations on my RUclips channel for the local wandering barn cats that I help and often adopt myself at my own cost. I estimate I've spent the better part of $8000 over the past 15 years since I've lived in the country and taken in probably 7 cats and kittens that have shown up in my backyard looking for foodies, love, and sometimes just a chat. I have one rough and tumble ginger fella we call Ralphie who has been visiting regularly for over 4 years now. He lives up the road at a farmstead most of the time, owned by a neighbour who is a nurse, yet this cat comes to me when he is injured and needs help. I patch him up and when he's better, off he goes, back down my driveway, like The Littlest Hobo. I've been thinking recently that since my neighbour isn't taking responsibility, maybe I should get him neutered since I'm sure that the last two kittens I captured under my other neighbour's porch were his progeny, but I can't afford the at least $500 it will cost for exam, shots and surgery. I've been basically unemployed since Covid laid me off, and then for several years I looked after my FIL as basically a personal caregiver who had had a stroke and was battling a bone cancer, until he recently passed. So now I'm thinking I should solicit donations from my followers, especially those people who leave strong comments that I should take this cat that isn't mine to the vet when he shows up with an injured paw or something. Sending you love, light and kitty kisses for continued success in helping our fellow creatures in need and distress!

QUESTION #2: I put in sound effects but the sound effects played over top the music. The sound effects not as effective then. Can I stop song when I want sound effects. Hello I always wanted to save a slideshow. This is excellent. I very rarely use iMovie as I get frustrated as the music is always longer than the clips . This will help me . Your instructions are precise , clear and the video was not too fast . A lot of people do videos and too fast so you have to stop and pause . Thanks

Hi Jay, I actually just had to add this as a module to our course. But to give you the short overview: You need to download music from youtube using a converter website, then transfer the track to your phone. Unfortunately this is the only way to get around the costs of music libraries that connect directly to the phone.
THERE WAS A MUCH MUCH SIMPLER WAY THAN THAT USING MARKUP BEFORE THEY UPDATED THE iOS to 15.3😩😩😩😩!!!! In photos on the iphone when we would click on any video and click edit there was an option button in the top right corner (a circle with three dots in it) when you click on it there would be an option where you can select audio from your own music library AND you can easily select where you would want to song to start SPECIFICALLY using the BARS of the song!!!! IT WAS WAY MUCH BETTER AND EASIER I DONT KNOW WHY THEY REMOVED THAT FEATURE!!!

you mean you got 100s of images you want to fly through like an animation? It will work, but there is better software suited for this if thats what you mean...

Mine won’t let me change any slideshow options on my iPhone 12, the photo app just crashes. I use to have same problem on my iPhone 7 and iPhone 5, it’s 2022 several years later and still no fix
On the ios slideshow, i play it and record it, and i knew all this before the video, but i came to the video because when the slideshlw is halfway done it stops changing frames, i only have 14 videos and 32 photos, is that too much???
Hi there, no that should not be too much.... its should loop to infinity. Are you running the slideshow from a separated album. Place all 14 videos and 32 photos in a seperate album first. Try that, if it doesnt work then it might be overloaded by the 14 videos. The slideshow feature is designed for images, best to then move onto iMovie to make it.

Tried Tiktok, spending whole two hours there, it did not turn out good, and I don't like they stamp their logo on the video. ❤🎉

You really missed the boat. You can make a memories movie…edit and customize music right from the photos library. Don’t need to record screen. Put selected photos in an ALBUM. Arrange album in order you want them, up to 50 photos. (I’ve even included short videos among the stills). Then Select the 3 dots … at top right for more options. One option is .. play a movie, select that and it quickly creates a movie, slideshow. You can select music, etc. once you save the movie to customize it even more you must use I movie. I’ve done this many times for events I’ve attended and shared them. Posted on FB. RUclips, etc.
