Miyako reprises the opening riff (acoustic) at the end of “Epilogue” because “Addicted” opened the album and “Epilogue” closed it. Dunno if you’ve reacted to “Epilogue” live, but if you have that might explain the familiarity. If not, it’s my favourite Lovebites performance of anything by them and I hereby request it.
Another great Miyako song. The opening has to be her homage to Iron Maiden because it sounds a lot like The Prophecy from Seventh Son of a Seventh Son. The Prophecy is one of my favorite Iron Maiden songs from that album because of the soft guitar riff used throughout the song. Now I want to listen to both Lovebites and Iron Maiden this evening.
