Miyako, who composes a lot of Lovebites’ music, is a professional-level concert pianist, and was originally going to make classical music her career. When she was 18, she picked up a guitar, and is now one of the best metal guitarists in the world. She particularly likes the Romantic Era classical composers like Debussy, Dvořák, Chopin and Rachmaninoff. She composed “Swan Song” using elements of the New World Symphony (Dvořák) and Chopin’s Revolutionary Etude (official name Étude Opus 10, No. 12 in C minor).

Old school heavy metal is the best metal, and that's why they are my favourite band for almost 5 years.
Yesss I can feel the heavy metal influences, it feels so good!
Midori's guitar faces are always great. Her and Dany from The Warning are my favorites for guitar stank faces. Also, Midori breaks out the black Horizon when it's time to go to drop D tuning. When they played this on their previous live video, "Daughters of the Dawn," Miyako's bends during the verses sounded a bit sketchy. My theory is that the Floyd Rose of her Dean Switchblade ML was fighting her. While that Dean normally sounds great, that time I think it got away from her. Fortunately she went with the Les Paul here, and the song sounds fantastic. Also, today is Momma Miyako's birthday!

Ahh, all the composers I love. LOVE Debussy and Dvorak. I didn’t get to play much of their stuff as they don’t often call for low brass, but enjoy listening very much so. A lot of ppl have been recommending this one, I will have to do a video for it next week for sure! Thank you for your comments!

Dude, you aint see nothing yet. Nobody shreds live like The Wolfpack. They have an amazing finish duo that work on their sound live and production (they do Nightwish too, cant remember names). Combine with talent and diversity that they have, it sound like this. Lovebites is metal!

Two of my favorites are 'Scream For Me' (live), mainly for the 14 guitar solos, & 'Journey To The Other Side' (live). Written by Miho about the passing of her father, & performed with such emotion. You will shed a tear for her.

Even if you think ooo yeah I've got something to say, but unfortunately you can't because you can't find the right words to describe this magic called Lovebites. I just want to recommend two songs for now Awakening/Hammer of wrath and Addicted. Both from the same concert Five of a kind in Zepp Diversity Tokyo 2020th. Enjoy it.

Maybe. It’s honestly really nice! I know they are more than just their influences, they are their own group. To me it was really nice and refreshing to hear what they do because everyone seems to want to reinvent the wheel, when in fact it still works AND can be improved upon! I love every bit of the band so far.

Was never a Thrash Metal fan. Looks like they can play but the closest I got to new wave British was Iron Maiden.

Some people say that they are redefining metal or that they are breaking the walls of stereotypes in the metal scene. Yes, their live performances are outstanding. Their main influences are Metallica, Iron Maiden, Helloween, Dragonforce, Angra, and also Slayer, Judas Priest, Megadeth, Deep Purple, and even Gary Moore, but they have been developing their unique style. For live performances avoid Bloodstock because audio is not good. As real musicians they are so versatile and have no limits. Miyako is a concert level classical pianist and Asami was a R&B, soul jazz singer before she joined Lovebites. My next recommendations are “Set the world on fire”, “Thunder vengeance”, “The Awakening/Hammer of wrath”, “Shadowmaker”, “Rise some hell”, “Scream for me”, “Holy war”, “The Crusade”, “Above the Black Sea”, “Under the red sky”; and for a different vibe: “Chopin Etude + Swang song”, “Liar”, Empty daydream”, “Epilogue”, “Edge of the world”, “Dancing with the devil”, “Spellbound”, “Frozen serenade”, just to name a few and all live if possible.

To this day, and I have been following them since they began, don't hear slayer or slipknot at all, I hear the influences of old classic Judas Priest, the iconic true father band of metal. so the other bands that everyone is confused to Lovebites are a mere image of similarities to the icon band Judas Priest. God way back to 1974 Rocha Rolla, 1976 Sad Wings of Destiny, 1977 Sin after Sin, 1978 Hellbent for Leather and there you will see and hear the exact point where it all began. Geez get it right people for crying out loud. sorry no steve via here, Miyako is more into Michael Schenker, Gary Moore, and David Gilmour style melodic solos
You know, I was gonna say Judas Priest and in my head thinking them, just couldn’t get the name out in the moment. YES TOTALLY! Mainly slayer cuz the riff is similar and the first thing I thought of, some say old school Metallica as well and I agree. I was raised on all that stuff, but not the first thing that I pull from as I’m a little younger and more so listened to other bands as of recently.

I am glad you have discovered them but here is a suggestion: do your analysis after you watched the live videos of them. Trust me, it's jarring when you stop cause everyone that is involved in watching the videos basically feel like they are thrown out of the focus. Just a little c&c for you.
as for the band themselves, they are one of a kind , they have a lot of influences in their music and they kick so much ass.

Also, Shadowmaker ( ruclips.net/video/wmAKRiG89Qc/видео.html ) would be a great choice. And if you want to see the live version of your first reaction, When Destinies Align ( ruclips.net/video/e48OwGcT3Bo/видео.html ), you'll see they pull it off just great. Basically though, other than Bloodstock or fan footage, you can't go wrong with LOVEBITES, the evolution of all their many musical influences in a way only they do.
