    While they were all fooling around with each others instruments, the thing that struck me, was how gorgeous Midori looked with her hair out, with the microphone in her hand, imitating Asami. Another funny part, was Asami trying to reach up & sing into Miyako's microphone. Love this song

    Thank you for following LOVEBITES at all times.
    【From an interview with Asami and Fami for a magazine project】
    Asami wanted to use the sound of "river" in the lyrics, but thought it would be strange to use "river" as the chorus.
    Asami found "deliver" and thought it would be cool if everyone shouted it out instead of just telling what the word means.
    For many Japanese, pronouncing and hearing the English "r" and "l" is difficult.
    From there, Asami arrived at "stand and deliver.
    "Stand and deliver" is a pirate term that apparently means "Leave all your money!"
    Asami thought that if he wrote the lyrics as they were, it would be a song about a "pirate king.
    Asami wanted to avoid that.
    Asami learned that "deliver" can also mean "to carry out" or "to be free" in addition to "to deliver.
    Asami uses "Stand and deliver" with the following interpretation and meaning.
    Stand up and be free!
    Rise up and be free!
    Arise and be free!
    Let's get up and be free!
    From there, Asami put the following thoughts into the lyrics.
    Nothing satisfies me.
    It's boring to be like this every day!
    Let's go more bouncy!
    Let's be bold and do something different!
    Let's break out of our shell!

    Great review of a great song. As others have said it was released on 2/22 and it is already number 1 in Japan and on iTunes in the US. The radio stations had better take notice and start playing them so they can continue to take over the world, especially since the older bands have already retired or are getting close.

    Music by Miyako; Lyrics by Asami; Arrangement by Miyako. Miyako always does her own arrangements, Moa does the arrangements for the other members.
    Midori had mentioned she was going to work on using the Whammy Bar. Great song, it's Lovebites but not copy/paste. The change is the bass is more prominent now.
    Miyako can play anything she puts her mind to, Fami is an excellent guitar player and singer (there's a video).

    Floyd Rose whammy bars can be a pain to set up, but they tend to be solid once they're set. I had a lucky find that turned out be once of my favorite guitars many years ago. A music shop had a BC Rich nj series 7 string warlock with a locking Floyd whammy on it. The tension was all jacked up from someone who set the thing up wrong and I talked them into $300 out the door. Had it fixed and tuned up 15 minutes after getting home. Those custom pickups BC Rich was making for their nice stuff back in the late 90s are fantastic for passive pickups.

    The official release date was yesterday, February 22, and I ordered the CD/Blu-Ray a few months ago. It arrived yesterday and I am thoroughly enjoying the album. The album is 10 songs and I believe between 53 and 54 minutes, which is on the short end for Lovebites. It is about the same length as Clockwork Immortality, their second full length album which also had 10 tracks. Their first full length album, Awakening From Abyss, is almost 61 minutes and their 3rd full length album, Electric Pentagram, is a whopping 70 minutes (with not a single filler song).
    This track is their most fun on the album, even without the music video. It is also a first for Lovebites - the first, and currently only, song cowritten by Miyako and Asami. I hope it is the first of many in the future because they knocked this one out of the park.
    EDIT: BTW, I believe that Fami and Miyako are the same height at 5'2". Some pictures show Fami taller because of the platform boots she likes to wear (although she has not reached Lzzy Hale platform heights yet).

    • @danw6048
      @danw6048 Год назад +1

      @@rogermoore5764 Yes, I ordered it from CDJapan as soon as preorders were available. The only downside is the Blu-Ray does not have English subtitles. The 4 audition tracks, however, sound fantastic on the Blu-Ray and it is fun watching Fami perform with them during the auditions. The mix really has the bass up front which is likely the exact same mix they listened to in making their decision.

  • @snakewhisperer1

    Enjoyed the reaction. Don't be afraid of a Floyd Rose (or Edge on an Ibanez) if you feel like it will expand your creativity. Yeah, they're a pain in the ass to re-string and initially tune. You just have to set aside an afternoon with your guitar and a beer. But once you get it dialed in, it won't let you down (provided it's a proper unit and not a knock off). The disadvantage to that is you can't really use multiple tunings in a show. Midori brings two E-II Horizons with her on stage. She uses the blue one for standard and the black one for drop D. And yes.....very jealous of that rehearsal space. Ours is about 1/3 that size.

    • @rockdariff
      @rockdariff  Год назад +1

      Yea I switch tunings a few times during my bands setlist

    • @snakewhisperer1
      @snakewhisperer1 Год назад +1

      That's the nice thing about having multiple guitars. I take three with me on stage: A Les Paul, a Strat, and either an Ibanez or the same model E-II Horizon in "Reindeer Blue" as Midori's (found it used online for a great price, so just had to snag it.....but it begs the question: Have you ever seen a blue Reindeer?)

    Lol, Asami looks like a hobbit with her pointed cap. Whammy bars and wah pedals are tools or gimmick yet they are liked to your physical body part as you have to control them like extensions of your arm or foot. It is not like foot switch on off. Then you need your emotion and physical control to utilize them. It is almost like vocal. It's what I think. BTW, the hand at the very beginning is Miyako.
