When I was 8 my parents bought a house on beech mountain parkway just after hummingbird lane above buckeye creek in 1996 with an absolutely breathtaking view. I’ve been vacationing in beech mountain every year for 27 years. Beech Mountain is a second home for me. I love that place!

Wow, that looked totally fun. I've been once, somewhere around 2004, it was snowing so hard, we could barely see during the day but what memories we made. Watching this video makes me want to go back again!

Man that looked beautiful and fun. Not a skier or snowboarder but tubing, yeah. Something special when you see all that white stuff making everything look so pristine. Drove through the area this past summer, didn't realize what a cool place it was.

My family and I have decided to go here for next Christmas (2024) but never drove on mountain roads. I don’t want to catch “height fright” when that time comes😂. How is the drive there from Florida? Are the mountain roads narrow? I appreciate any helpful advice and information. Thank you 🙏🏽 btw I loved your video #subscribed 😊
Thank you so much! The ride from Fla to Beech is not bad at all. The only part that gets kinda 😬 is the last few miles. Twisty for sure. But we just took them slow. We made sure to arrive during daylight hours as well. I wouldn’t suggest driving for the first time at night. Then once you are in Beech, it’s pretty easy. There’s one main road that goes through town. When it started snowing, Mo did the driving (he’s from Pittsburgh). Keep an eye on the possibility for snow. I was glad we were already up in Beech before it snowed. I definitely would not like that climb in the snow. There was a store at the bottom of the mountain selling snow tire chains. But I wouldn’t worry too much. Take it slow. Arrive during daylight hours and you’ll be set up for success. I. Hope that helps!!!

Real snow is not common for the end of March. Of course, they will make their own when temps drop. I would keep an eye on the web cam and check raysweather.com. The locals swear by it ❄️ Have fun!

I still want to go this winter... will the snow last until march?
You should be safe thru mid-March as far as snow on the mountain. If there is snow on the roads, there is a lil shop at the bottom of the mountain that sells snow chains for cars. I was glad to have a Jeep up there this time around tho 🥶

hi, i’m planning to go there in february with my family, do you guys think the ski station still works in this period and how much money do we have to get for a day?
Hi! You will love it! Beech Mountain is typically open for skiing thru mid-March. Ski passes run between $40-$100 per day depending on how long you want to ski and the day of the week. I hope that helps!

Do you guys recommend Beech or Sugar ?
Personally I liked Beech. Sugar has a little more vertical rise. So steeper drop. The town of Beech was definitely more chill too. ❄️
