- This week Casey and Brent talk about Brent's trip up and through Canada to visit some of our favorite content creators, as well as some fun Orktober hobby stuff. And then there was the zoo trip...oh yeah. AND, of course, a bunch of stuff about the gone but not forgotten Games Workshop Specialty Game, INQUISITOR.

The best/worst bit of inquisitor is after you've spent 3 minutes deciding how your first action is to draw your pistol, your second is to aim, third is to squint an eye, fourth is to take a breath and fifth is to fire...
then you roll for your actions... you have 5 possible, so your roll 5D6, and any 4+ is a successful, you got three of them... congrats... you drew, aimed and winked at your enemy and now it's their turn.
I ran several campaigns of Inquisitor back in the day and....oooh boy it's one of the worst systems I've ever had the misfortune of encountering. Like, if you enjoy spreadsheets, legal documents and exceptions to exceptions, you'll love it, but if you want to play a fun game, stay away.
Brent you went to Saskatoon and that's a lot smaller, more remote, and further from you than Winnipeg.
See you dorks at Adepticon.
Lol, come on Brent…see you in Chicago buddy :)
One can not have too much hobby stuff. One can only have not enough space to store it.
Inquisitor is basically the Warhammer Fantasy Role Play system, adjusted to be a story driven 40k game.
The games I played of it in a GW store were good times, basically like DND but everyone had a figure and their own objectives. I wonder if I can dig it out n try to revive it...
That MDF would be great for over the gate of an orc castle. Cereal boxes for walls and oatmeal cans for the round castle turrets at either end. And you can trim carboard into rectangles for stone texture
Oh man the zoo story... I was listening this in the train, people would have think I'm insane.
I am inspired again! I love your brush control, and I am motivated to practice this weekend on a squad of some sci-fi brutes
My afternoon work productivity just went to near zero. Great pod
Welcome to Paint Bravely were we talk about Monkeys eating self-made soft serve, with leaves in it!
Cool as always.
Love the Blacksite Relicblade terrain. It's painted well enough for me, but I did also do a little bit of wash work for added interest. It's a definitely worth the price and build effort. So much variety of terrain in one kit.
It looks so good in the pictures, and now that I've built another mdf kit I'm thinking the Blacksite one will go a bit easier. Definitely looking forward to getting it all set up :)
Looks like you got a nice new MDF Big 'Ed Bossbunka 😀
I got a work message and lost focus on the podcast and then all the sudden the poop eating came out of nowhere I was so confused 🤣
hehe yeees :)
Goddammit Casey, I was just painting a little brooch on the side of a Gryphcharger's head with a runny silver, and you had start into that chimp poop story. Lot of tidy up required here now. Still laughing, will habe to come back to it later.
hahaha now when you look at that gryphcharger those memories are gonna come flooding back in!

comment for the algorithm: captain crunch because there's already ork kaptains out there
That was the first one I pictured, it makes sense!
are y'all familiar with Inq28? Planet28? There are a bunch of great rulesets that are adaptations to the 28mm scale.
definitely heard of it, and seen lots of conversions, but I haven't looked into the ruleset yet.
I just might put my necromunda boards together and double up the walls for inquisitor...future Gary project.
On a different note: when I was 7 we were camping by the reptile gardens in the black hills. We were going the next day but there was a tornado that day...the reptiles escaped. Mom was apoplectic.
haha, oh wow, I'm sure that was an adventure!
Dude, I'm looking at that stompa head and all I can see is Smudge the Cat, and now I have to find pics of some of Casey's angry bellowing orks to put in a left panel...
At one time my favorite thing about Canada was the cans of Rockstar with vodka in them 😂
We have something in the UK like that called Dragon Soop.
they had those in the states for a few months, all sorts of different brands, they were great, but then they were deemed too "dangerous" and pulled from shelves. Pretty stupid considering I can order alcohol, cigarettes, and mary jane to be delivered to my door in under 30 minutes, 24 hours a day...legally. At least where I live lol
Will the nadshading video be sponsored by Manscaped?
It is in my heart and mind
Scientific information for Brent. My friend's wife is an animal nutritionist at a zoo and mainly works with chimps. I asked her on your behalf. She said that eating of the fecal soft serve is normal behavior. It's also observed behavior in the wild. There are no solid(fnarr fnarr) theories, but it could be to do with re-ingesting nutrients. Some were only observed doing it in the winter, so may just be warming up their food. Basically second helpings and nature's own fecal microwave. The more you know...
That is fascinating, thank you for taking the time to ask!!
