One of the key components of sustainability/ recycling ♻️ is “reuse”. Casey does a really good job of this by showing how cool older models can still be. Another great pod!
One issue I have with doing bases separately is if you’re doing a lighting effect, like a glow or something, then it throws it off. Otherwise I typically do them separate
Well the discussion at the end there triggered a long ad from Shopify about how my slow website can cost me millions in sales everyday. Hopefully some boss at GW gets the same ad when they watch this.
Weird hobby crossover moment: disc golf/ frolf/ frisbee golf also has a "plastic guilt" aspect to it. On the topic of recycling plastics: I'm no expert but Jesse @TrashPandaDiscGolf on RUclips is making some big strides in using recycled material at scale and might be a cool interview if you're looking into the topic Brent. (I don't know the composition of Siocast and he's mostly dealing with TPU - but both may have a threshold/tradeoff when it comes to the percentage of re-grind used.)
Just FWIW, I've seen people say that siocast takes well to very fine (400 grit and higher) sandpaper. Lower than that will just leave massive gouges, but yeah.
Starting a new ghoul army this year and first time I've done bases and models separately. Painting bravely and trying lots of new stuff. Thanks for all the years of content guys
Subassembly bases? Im always worried that the glue is going to mess up my paint job on either model or base. Also i worry the glue is not going to stick well.
I love how peple say stuff like "it's made with trash materials, and it flies over the ocean on a jet spewing leaded diesel into the air, but at least they are trying." LOL

agreed!!
you know it's going to be a great show when 1/4 of Brent's screen is cat at the start
PeacyTips is a play on a British tea brand called PG Tips. Hence the tea pot.

As brent is talking about the knomes, a single line from aquateen hunger force hits my mind “ thousands of years ago, before the dawn of man…”
Here for Knome talk!
Thanks guys for another good episode

Welcome to gnome Man's land!
*knome man's land 🙂
And here I was trying to sound out “kgnome”
The only time I do base sub assemblies are models that have a flying stand, and vehicles.
His plant water belongs to the tribe!

This episode felt like a neverending infomercial about the dwarves vs gnomes game 🙄
The computer, sci fi version of the game has to be called Knome Man's Sky
I also have the oild Necro gangs ... Van Saar - paint them in black and you have Fremen from Dune 😆😄
Peachy gotta peach but I'm sad for the painting phase.
Kobold bless
You’ve had a podcast this whole time? What the heck, Casey? I’ll accept your apology by listening you discuss minis
