What a delightful man John is, as well as incredibly talented. Some years ago, we attended John’s old school where he presented the A level awards to our daughters year group. He put a different voice on as each student came to the platform and he even imitated some of the School masters! He had the whole place rocking with laughter. John came and sat down with us afterwards and he gave up so much time for the students. Apparently he does this every year for his old school! It was a memorable night and we still talk about it. A warm, generous, unpretentious and talented man.
Culshaw is a people pleaser. He enjoys the fact that people like hearing what he does and is gracious and generous enough to do some voices for them. Well done JC!
Brilliant. Not only are John Culshaw's impersonations brilliant, but his ability to link them with funny lines that are in context. Mark of an intelligent sense of humour. Brilliant talent and obviously a nice bloke to get up and entertain the cabin. 👏
He is a cool guy, but I'm not sure I'd agree that he's the best we've ever had. One of the best perhaps, but THE best? What about Rory Bremner, or Alistair McGowan?
Not at all surprised that Jon Culshaw would do this. Met him a couple of years ago and he was simply charming! An all round decent chap who’s generous with his time and talent!!
I was privileged to work with Jon some years ago in local radio. When I first met him, he was quite shy and reserved. I immediately saw his potential, when he imitated the likes of Frank Bruno, Frank Carson and Tom Baker. We worked on a series of commercials for a local car dealer, which proved to be very successful. Some time later, he was let go by the same radio company, and was told that his voice 'Doesn't fit with sound of our station'.... How wrong they were! Jon is now one of the UKs top impressionists, and I'm so pleased for him and his success.
I remember when he won a competition to present a programme for a week on Red Rose Radio in 1987. I cannot remember what I ate three days ago but for some reason this stuck in the mind, probably because I was an avid listener to the station in the eighties. Only recently I went past the now empty St Paul's Church in Preston where it broadcast from, such an amazing setting for a radio station.
A genuine comedic performance. Joy, humour, fun, improvisation and respectful of audience in an impromptu situation. It doesn’t get better than this.😀✊
John Culshaw is the total BEST impressionist ever! and brilliant for getting up and doing this for nothing and giving everyone a laugh - well done John - just wish he was on our flight to Tenerife a few months ago as it was sooooo boring xx
what an amazingly talented guy but more importantly What a great sport for doing this. How many stars, with their huge egos would do this....not many. Well done John, you are fantastic !!!
So very talented and so wonderful that John is happy to interrupt his personal time to bring such happiness to the fellow passengers. I’m sure none of them will forget that moment. 😂
Mr Culshaw has got to be the our best impressionist we have. What a sport to do this on a flight when a lot of celebrities would just like to be left alone. Top Gent. 👍😊
That was really cool - my aunty told me about him a few years ago and he always makes me laugh but it’s nice to see him do this when he probably just wants to chill. Doing this makes everyone’s day on that flight a bit more special!
Omg what a gem of a video, I would have loved to have been on that flight, super nice of him to do that for the other passengers, shows he's not one of those people that take themselves too seriously.
He was on a charity table at a doo with me once... he took our phones and rang whoever you asked him to.... was sooooo funny. My wife got Barack Obama on her answer machine asking if he could book in for a health check!
What a charming man never too busy to do a few impressions a bloody good sport Thank you for uploading this and thank fuck ozzy wasn't 'driving the plane '😂
I was cabin crew on 747s, BA back in the 1970s. Charlie Williams was on board in economy and spent the entire (long flight) standing up in his seat, doing his act. Trouble was he was incredibly unfunny, so most of the crew and passengers found it a drag. But Culshaw is just brilliant here and immensely talented. Seems like a great guy, which is more than I can say for Charlie.
The man is a true talent. A1 impersonations...and the wit to go with it. The two do not always go together. Better yet, he is clearly a very nice bloke to boot. The punters onboard should have been paying a surcharge ;)
I so wanted the real Brian Cox to appear from the lavatory during this piece! 🤣 John Culshaw is such a talented impersonator and entertainer. In addition to the characters in this video, I love his Maximus Decimus Meridius ... especially when he's trying to educate the real guides and conservators at Hadrian's Wall. 😁
Great performance from the King of impressions... shame that half the flight couldn’t see him at his best because some oaf stood up in the isle throughout his performance !!!!

John is insanely talented and he seems to like performing even for free, not a lot of performers would do an impromtu free gig.
He walked up and down the isle with a hat for tips after this, nothing is for free.
@@benedictearlson9044 Cheap post, which I don't believe.
@@MOGGS1942 Well said.
What a nice genuine guy, I also think he's the best

Was that when he worked at Viking radio in Hull?
Is he still active? 'Dead Ringers' was on Australian TV 10-15 years ago, one of the last truly funny British comedy programs.
I remember when he won a competition to present a programme for a week on Red Rose Radio in 1987. I think Jet2 need a round of applause too. Jet2 have such a relaxed and positive vibe going on.
Far and away my favourite airline, for exactly the same reasons you mention. A feel good airline. 👍
yeah, just what you want from an airline. Them being relaxed.
Unlike Bryanair.
LOVE Jet2. ❤️
This guy rocks, what an honour to have him on board - he's very down to earth

Only being recommended 10 years later 😂 what an absolute legend who obviously loves to perform and is a genuinely nice guy

John is just a genius, a brilliant mimic, and a lovely man
I like the Ozzie 'I've never driven a plane before it's quite a good laugh' that cracks me up. Pure Gold.
Pure class he is so brilliant
John Culshaw, brilliant as usual. Wish I'd been on that flight!
Not only a great impressionist but a very funny man too, able to ad lib with ease.
Such a gentleman as well.
I see Jet2 have really up'd there game on the onboard entertainment
God! That was brilliant ,what a treat for those passengers!!

Very talented bloke.perfect impressions.
His Tom Baker always has me in a heap. He's the best by a long way.
Colin Veacock Yes, he is very good at all the voices but he is perfect at Tom Baker.
What a nice and memorable experience for the people on that plane... full of smiles!
Such a talent - brilliant. Saw him recording a show once - what a range!!
down to earth , easy going , the bloke don't need to do this , real showing of his personality , well done jon .
I love that his material is genuinely as well as how accurate he sounds. So good 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
True gent, John is super talented.
What a pleasure it must have been to be on that flight
That impromptu set of characters underlines just how great an impersonator John Culshaw is!
Lucky passengers. Very funny. A truly remarkable talent. Perfect Prof. Brian Cox.
What a guy. How nice of him to do that for a packed plane 😀
So very talented and so wonderful that John is happy to interrupt his personal time to bring such happiness to the fellow passengers. I’m sure none of them will forget that moment. 😂
The best video on RUclips!!! bar none, Thanks John and Jet 2

What a sport. So spontaneous and shows real wit and intelligence.
This has just come into my feed ten years after it took place. What a different world that was then. And a better one.
Yes when everyone didn't have to live in fear. The world changed for ever in 2020
Great guy for doing that. Better than the usual "Oh no, don't annoy me"
Very funny
He is so very good at this stuff and also to take requests at the last minute AND make up some funny comments straight away as well. Big wow from me.
Jon Culshaw, he's the real deal .
Absolutely brilliant, don't know how he does it but he's spot on with every voice, other impressionists don't come close
His brain cox is my absolute favourite lately lol he's incredible and makes me laugh every time lol
I usually dont like impressions
But this guy is actually good
Nice to see genuine celebrities having fun! Hats off
Now THAT'S in-flight entertainment!! Brilliance!!
People like John Culshaw who can just bring laughter and happiness into peoples lives should be automatically knighted !
Brian Bozo amen
agreed
Knighted??? Like Tony Warmonger Blair? Not bloody likely! He should be ennobled. A Dukedom at the very least!
SUPER SUPER SUPER, BRILLIANT IMPRESSIONIST....!! THANKS FOR THE SHOW...
John culshaw simply great guy great lmpressions joy to watch
2:40 i'm yelling tom baker, tom baker!

Ozzy is particularly good because not only has he got the Birmingham accent he has got the Aston in Birmingham accent, awesome

Jon Culshaw what a fantastic impressionist!👍
What. A good sport. Nice guy.
How wonderful this is - I would love to see this on a flight - what a gift!
So lovely to be able to make so many people happy.
We need a john Culshaw on every flight.
How the F did they get JC onboard to do free entertainment. He's amazing. What a god.
Yes. He is brilliant. Love him to bits. Got a really nice personality too. Fame has not gone to his head.
What a boss flight that must have been :D So cool :D

I wish he would have gone on longer, amazing!
Brilliant!🤣🤣🤣

Good publicity for ‘Dead Ringers’ on Radio 4. What a great sport to be so entertaining on his holiday!
I really *_HATE_* flying, but if I had this, I'd not want the flight to end.
Ditto!
@degenerate boi 2 year reply....
Brilliant stuff by John.
Love the girl shouting "it is a plane" when he's doing Brian Cox 😂😂😂
What a charming man never too busy to do a few impressions a bloody good sport
Thank you for uploading this and thank fuck ozzy wasn't 'driving the plane '😂
He is so talented. I love his Boris.
Someone I know was at a wedding where he was best man. The speech began with Tony Blair and morphed into George Dubya. He’s a nice guy, it seems.
The norms asking "what's War Pigs?" - Kudos for John knowing tho'
Awesome - let's hope for all the madness to end and we can get back to this "LIVING". ✌

This is a fantastic advertising opp for Jet2 - looks like a great airline.
Flew with them 3 weeks ago, spot on.
I booked a package holiday with them. I'll go to them for my next too. Good company.
What a lovely fella, and insanely talented. That stuff is hard...

It was Jet2, not Ryanair.
Great guy for entertaining the passengers like that they're not many guys like him
Now this is one flight I would like to have been on 👏👏👏👏
How lovely of John and for the passengers
All I can see in my mind's eye now is Ozzy, fumbling about on the flightdeck...
Mike Yarwood, Rory Bremner, Alistair McGowen and Jon Culshaw. Impossible to rank them. All brilliant

He is just so funny. They need to get him back on the telly. As funny as this is - he's too good to be top-billing on a Jet2 flight!!
Not remotely woke enough for them.
His sketch on Dead Ringers where he pretends to be Russell Crowe was superb and had me on the floor in stitches
John you may have just stumbled upon a new show. Aircraft karaoke
Great performance from the King of impressions... shame that half the flight couldn’t see him at his best because some oaf stood up in the isle throughout his performance !!!!
Its Jon Culshaw not John but love this video and he is so down to earth
He's a classic this bloke.............good one.
Fair play John that was brilliant bet that made the passengers day mate
What I would have given to be on that flight ! What a guy !
