I didn't know he was from Ormskirk. I'm originally from near Wigan and have lived in Southport, so I feel his pain. I used to be a newspaper reporter in Lytham St Annes, so when he mentioned working on radio in Blackpool and Preston, it really brought back memories. Great stuff.
I met him in Southport a couple of years ago. There was filming going on outside the library and i was intrigued. I walked up between shots and asked him what was going on. He turned to me and I said 'I think I know your face?' He replied 'yes..jon...jon culshaw.' He chatted for about 5 minutes...incredibly pleasant to me. he was standing by his own Mk 3 Cortina...which he'd owned from new. Saluki bronze if I remember correctly. We chatted about cars...he knows his stuff! The TV piece was about his car but sadly I missed the broadcast. When he was called by the crew to start filming again he shook my hand and said 'Good to chat to you Brigadier!'

We had Yarwood, who was bettered by Bremner, and now Culshaw who is undoubtedly the best ever. It’s difficult to imagine ever being better than Jon. Brilliant!
Why have you put subtitles up for who he’s impersonating? Either you’re dumbing down or Culshaw is the poor man’s Rory Bremner.

Absolutely. Plenty of us have wondered about the migration effect between Ireland and Liverpool, but his merging of the Dub and Scouse accent is phenomenal 🙂👍
Doing a convincing voice is not enough. You also have to have the ability to say the kinds of things these people would say, in this case spontaneously, without a script. This guy is really good at both.
The radio host did a very good impression of Eamon Holmes.

This guy is awesome. I was just wondering at about 4.30 secs whether he could do any rock stars past or present and in particularly I was thinking like Francis Rossi from English rock band Status Quo when out of nowhere he says at 4.37 '" Well I'm feeling that right now" and he says that in his own voice which just happened to sound like Rick Parfitt from Status Quo{ RIP}. Very odd timing that i think it and he sounds like what I was wondering but he did it by accident. Thinking Francis Rossi but he sounded like Francis's band mate of fifty years.

Love his impressions and mannerisms. I would love to work with him as I am similar with his humour. I would have some good ideas for him to work with. Must find a way to get in contact with him somehow. Any ideas anyone?

I can never bring myself to like Culshaw, he always seems greasy and falsely humble, a bit patronising and creepy.
