Canon has said otherwise, but I fully expect that they're going to to get rid of the M-series of cameras. It's just going to be a better business plan to make one line of lenses (single mount, RF) rather than making EF, EF-S, M, and RF lines separately. Even the crop-sensor-targeted glass will still be RF-mounts.
Yep, I expect the same. There is so much quality EF glass out there though that there I don't have the need to get the newer Rf lenses. I'm sure there will be nice EF lenses floating around for the at least the next 20 years or so. Especially on the used market.
I really hope they keep the M line unless they bring the price down for the R10. We all started off on a sub $5-600 crop kit. They gotta keep the prices down for the next generation.
Is it just me or is this guy hilarious 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Thanks for watching and commenting dorian!

This was helping...was confused to take m50 mirro...or R10
Another great video! Enjoyed the logic behind the decisions, but also simply so cinematic!
Thanks Gordon! I appreciate it.
M50mkii is my first camera 2 months ago, great camera for an advance beginner like me but it’s a little bit slow for my liking when it comes to sports/action shots. R10 seems to be the right camera to upgrade to long term, with other great cameras in the R line up to upgrade to later on. Thanks for the video!
You are welcome. Thanks for watching and commenting Brian.
Caught a M50 very cheap (use) and I am amazed by its features and its size. I like my gear small and compact, nothing bulky. In combination with my M3 and S100 I feel well set up for the street.
Thx for your video. I like your style.
Thanks for watching and commenting : )
As always super informative and to the point, glad I'm subscribed, keep the good works !
Thanks Leon!
Canon should hire you. You’re one of their best salesman. (I mean that, of course, in good way.)
That would be interesting. Let's see what the future holds.
Fulaan, really appreciate your straightforward, no-nonsense reviews. Thank you! Keep up the standards you have set for yourself.
Thanks! I appreciate the kind words.
I love compact size camera. M50+22mm is perfect size for me. I will not switch to R10 as its size is too large. May be in the future, I may switch to Fuji or Sony.
Yes that is a super compact setup. I heard a rumour about an r50 or r100 that will basically be an M50 in the r mount. If it has some additional features that would be interesting.
I love the Canon colors, but I'm not sure the R10 is really ready for market yet. The R10 is APSC, I think, but with only two exceptions, all the RF lenses are meant for full frame. So the focal lengths are all wrong and the lenses are way bigger and heavier than APSC lenses.
For now I'm sticking with my M50 MkII, and my RP. One is compact and convenient, the other is full frame.
Until they bring out some smaller lenses for the R10, for me it's "neither fish nor fowl."
Yeah i can't blame you. You are right about the lenses but the reason i am not concerned about that is that i plan to use EF lenses anyway. I did the same with the M50. Viltrox makes a speed booster for m mount a well as RF and both work great.
You are incorrect about the RF lenses. There are now RF-S lenses.
@@iancurrie8844 yes true but I believe Scott was speaking of all the lenses aside from the two Canon just released. Those two lenses are smaller than many other RF lenses but are not really exciting lenses in terms of aperture and field of view. That being said I'm confident there will be plenty of good rf-s lenses in the future although at the determent of any EF-m camera owners.
@@FulaanCreative It's no surprise that the entire range is released all at once. However, all EF-S lenses do work ;)
@@iancurrie8844 Yep, i don't own a single RF lens myself. All I have is EF and EF-s lenses. I adapt them to my M50, EOS R, and soon to be r10 or r7. I haven't had any issues yet at all. I use the normal adapter, speed booster adapter and the Meike drop in ND adapter. I have heard some people complaining that the AF is not as fast as RF lenses which is probably true but I haven't had any issues with AF personally.
Thanks for your videos! It’s very informative and entertaining at the same time! This helped me choose my camera.
Awesome. Good to hear.
I currently have the M50 mark I, and I’m still very happy with it. As you mentioned the 30min limited is becoming an issue for me. So initially I was looking after the Canon RP or maybe R but the R10 seems very interesting and I also want to play with 2 angle camera for my own video so I think it would be a good option to go for the R10 as main camera and M50 as B camera
Yes the R10 would be a good option for that. The RP and R also have the 30 minute limit so keep that in mind.
@@FulaanCreative oh good that you mention it as I forgot that RP was limited too
More great advice! Thanks for this video, Fulaan!
I bought the canon R10 with 50mm 1.8mm ef with viltrox ring control adaptor 😍 . Can I do professional work with this combo like Shooting music videos or wedding photography or product photography?
As long as you understand the limitations and the strengths you will be fine. People have done amazing professional work with much less.
Very nice job. Does the R10 off dual pixel auto focus in 4k? I never use my m50 in 4k mode. What about a headphone jack? That one thing makes me shy away from using the M50 professionally. Thanks for this chat. -Ed
Thanks! It does have dual pixel AF in 4k but no headphone jack. You can monitor the Audio visually on the LCD while recording though.
I thought there would be a real comparison of cameras, but here it's just advertising chatter that the R10 has no time limit for recording and focuses better on dogs. But it was not said that the best high-power lenses are still on the M-system, I mean 32 mm and three Sigma lenses. In RFS, this is not even close. Therefore, even though the M-system was killed by Canon, I choose the second m50m2 camera.
I just discovered your channel while making a decision on getting the r10. Love your videos brotha!!
Thanks Man! I appreciate it.
Really like your videos! So informative and no bs! Thanks
Thanks!
Bro, I have the m-50 and I just got the R10, what lense would you recommend for the R10?
The Sigma 18-35 is an amazing choice.
Thank you!!!!
Found your videos yesterday and love them! I'm looking for your opinion. I haven't bought a new camera since my Rebel XT. I am looking to get a camera for macro insect photography and slow-motion videography. I am not concerned about 1080P upscaling. I am between the M50 MK i and the R10. Just not sure if the R10 is worth the additional cost when I can get an M50 for a good price and only plan to use it recreationally. Thoughts?
The M50 is a great choice. You also have some other options in that price range. Canon R50, Sony ZVE-10, Canon R10.
I won the M50 so I can't complain, I have progressed to the point that I am buying a Canon EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L IS II USM Lens in April and hope to upgrade my camera in April of 2024 (I am disabled, it takes me forever to save) to a better mirrorless with better resolution and better focus for the wildlife shots I like to take as well as my landscapes that I enjoy.
The best camera is no doubt a free camera!
@@FulaanCreative That's for certain.
Hey Fulaan, is the R10 the latest Canon camera? If you're getting this camera, I'll make the switch as well?
Yes, it is their newest entry level camera. I am keeping the Eos R but yes I will also buy the R10. I will keep the M50 for a while as well but will eventually replace it. If you have reached the limitations of the m50 and need to upgrade then the r10 may prove to be a good upgrade. If not then the m50 is still very capable. Thanks for watching and commenting Niko!
Great intro my friend. I switched to the R6 and kept my M50 because why not. Jared Polin always says "great glass and a good body will do you wonders."
Much appreciated my friend
Thanks! I appreciate you watching and commenting. Peace!
Good content. I wonder why I haven't seen any of your videos before. Actually I'm thinking which upgrade should I do but won't cost too much. This video really gives me a good consideration for my purchase 👌
Thanks! I appreciate the kind words. Thanks for watching and commenting.
I am indecisive between getting the Canon R10 and the Canon R. Right now, I been using the Fujifilm for traveling and landscape photography, but I am looking to add Canon for more professional work in Real Estate Photography as well as traveling and landscape. I like the Canon R10 cause of how fast the auto-focus is which is what I was hoping to save up but now I get it for cheaper the price. However, I been using APS-C cameras for awhile now and never used a full-frame camera. I do not know if I should make the switch to Canon R to use the full-frame camera and if this is what needed for Real Estate Photography or should I stick to getting the Canon R10.
I would rent the R and see how you like it. Regarding the R10 and R7 I think it will be more clear once we can play with them and see if they have any weird quarks or not. For me noise/grain in video is a important factor. I am going to take a chance and by the R10 but if it has any major issues I will return it or sell it.
I would say if you are on a budget probably get the R10, however if you want the ultimate low light image quality with low noise and great for editing landscape and realty work, then the R with full frame is better (or RP). However also factor in lens prices as full frame lenses can be a bit more expensive than equivalent aps-c lenses. Determine what lenses you want to buy (their cost) with the price of the body and this can help to decide.
For the photography genre that you shoot (RE, Landscape, Travel), you wouldn't need a fast camera, but a full frame sensor would improve the image quality by quite a bit. Imo get the RP and the RF 16mm f/2.8 if you're on the budget, otherwise R/R5/R6 and RF 15-35mm f/2.8 or 14-35mm f/4.

Good Info thanks for the video. Love my m50 but I can see and upgrade down the road. Thanks my friend I really enjoy your videos
You are very welcome. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Thanks for the review. Only complaint is if one is a Canon user, recommending the Sony ZV series cameras is a big mistake IMHO because the menu system is a full scale disaster to a Canon user. I bought and returned them. Awful experience and cost me time. Why not go with the R10? Budget?
Yes i agree. I bought the R10, I was just mentioning the zve-10 in case the r10 was out their budget. I am waiting on the R10 to arrive any day. Looking forward to do some review vids once it arrives.
@@FulaanCreative yes the R10 seems like the real ticket with mic/headphone to serve as the 90D replacement and fully acclimated with all kinds of goodies features. I just wished it were smaller like the M50.
Canon M is really a catch 22. Canon will more than likely kill that mount. Unfortunately it's not like the EF/EFs mount that has a wide selection of used glass.
True
Would you recommend buying a whole kit or buy the body and buy quality lens and tripods separate?
Depends on budget and which kit your talking about. I'd grab the kit lens and body combo to start off and see where it goes from there. If there is extra cash then a tripod would most def come in very handy.
hey nice video! well done. the r10 is gonna grow your channel and audience. keep it up, im in none of the groups you stated. im looking to get full frame sony a7c. unless canon removes the 30 minute record limit on the r6 then i would consider that.
Thanks! Yeah, Canon and their record limits. They shot themselves in the foot without even realizing it.
I just Subscribed!! Love the channel!! Cool vibes!!!🎉
Thanks! Welcome aboard.
+ the z30 is now a contender. Its essentially nikon's version of a r10, but more styled like my fave EOS-M bodies. im looking at it. I am a photo guy only, so these contenders are gonna come down to the quirks, technical limits, etc
Thanks for the heads up Simon. I will have to look into it. I'm pretty much a 90% video guy and the thought of having to switch all my lenses is one of the things holding me back from moving on from Canon.
@@FulaanCreative no problem. The lenses will ultimately be the killer, because chances are you will have to at least buy one that replaces what you have already. Even on the z30 side of things, commenters are asking when will a supposed 12- 24 be available for it. But if you've ever used one of canons 10-22 on crop, one would know that even the 11-22 for Eos m doesn't get as wide. A max 12mm will be even worse on the nikon side.
Then again, there might be a sigma or Tamron that can make the difference, but that's if those models even exist and if they're available for EF to adapt.
Hey Fulaan,
Watching another video from the channel as usual :) Im telling you, the first bit about the vintage camera and the roll and how much of a beast the M50 is, give every and any camera review a perspective unmatched.
I would love to know how the 1080p 30 and 60 of the Canon M50 compares to the 1080 30 and 60 of the Eos R?
Thanks
What's up Rihas? Thanks for watching and commenting. Yeah, there is a video i did where I briefly compare the Eos R to the M50. The summary is pretty much that they are actually quite close. The EOS R is superior, especially in the noise/grain department but other than that they are extremely close. The 24p, 30p, and 60p 1080 and 4k from the m50 can be mixed with clips from the Eos R and many if not most people wouldn't be able to tell the difference. You would probobly have to be looking for it to to distinguish.
I have Canon M50 and I like it's compact size. I hope they will use components from R10 to make new M50 mark iii. I don't want bulky camera. If they don't upgrade M50 to at least Sony zve10 specs, my next camera will be Sony.
I'm not sure they will be making anymore m-mount cameras. İ think the r10 is what the M50 mark ii was supposed to be.
I really appreciate your intro big dawg.
Thanks man! I appreciate you watching and commenting.
Bro I went to buy camera store saw r10 and m50 at same price. And another option is zve10 all at similar prices which should I pick
If R10 is the same price it would be my choice.
I’m also watching this for an upgrade in my B camera, I created so much amazing content with my M50 but once I got my R6, the M50 lags behind, especially in 4k without good autofocus, so I’m looking into a new Camera B. The fact the R10 has no record time limit and 4k with dual pixel autofocus has me extremely interested!
For sure, Thank God Canon finally did away with the 30 minute limit.
Hey Fulaan, you gave huge clarification about the decision am going to make but there is one question I'm about to ask. I'm newbie in photography, I'll going Norway to shoot Northern Lights in 1 week and planning to start vlogging on RUclips, of course I'll shoot street-photographs. Does M50 is enough for night shoots and vlog? Both cameras i'll using 18-150mm lens, so what should i buy? Thanks.
If you have the extra cash the R10 is a bit better in low light situations which would help with the Northern lights.
@@FulaanCreative Thanks for the advice Fulaan, i hope you have nice day✌🏻
@@carrutku you are welcome.
Terima Kasih brother for another great video!!! 🥰 Question 1. Exactly how do you upscale your videos? Question 2. Why not save up a bit more and go for the R7? ( that might be another good video topic 🤪) Thanks again!!
You are very welcome. So you just take your 1080 timeline and when you go to export change the setting to 3840x2160 or which ever 4k resolution your editing software allows. So the R7 is $1500 which is close to the price as the Full Frame EOS R. Once I get to play with the R7; if the low light/noise performance is close to the Eos R then I would go for the R7 but if it isn't and it is more like the m50/other canon aps-c cameras then I rather grab the r10 which is only $1000. Will probably make a video about it once I get the cameras in my hands. Thanks for watching and commenting Zahari.
@@FulaanCreative Thanks for the reply! Hopefully you get your hands on an R7 😊🙏🏼👍🏼
You are welcome Zahari. I hope so too!
loved this video. so helpful. Story telling on point. subbed
Thanks Amber!
if u had only two options RP and R10 which one you would have bought..Is RP,s video quality significantly better than R10?
It's not really like that. It's more like what do you need exactly. The RP is full frame so if I was going to be doing a lot of vlogging or wide shots like real estate i'd go for the rp. If i wasn't going to do that type of work then I'd go for the r10.
Thanks for the info. I am in a pickle. I want to get another camera for a second angle. I only do YT videos and was thinking if I should get another M50 MKII or a new R10. Basically, I can get a M50 MKII and a SIGMA 18-35mm f1.8 for the same price as the R10 body alone. So, does it make sense to get the R10 for YT videos, or is it a better deal to get the M50 MKII AND Sigma 18-35mm f1.8 lens for the same price...? What is your view?
Honestly If you don't need to get rid of the 30 minute record limit and 4k with AF isn't a big deal for you then it's kind of hard to skip that 18-35 and 2nd camera body for the same price as the R10. For me I need the no record limit feature as well as the 4k with AF so yeah.
Solid and straight to the point! Appreciate you brotha.
Hey! I appreciate you watching and commenting Justin. Thanks man.
I've had my M50 for a good 4 years, maybe more. But I'll be getting the R7. Why? IBIS, DPAF II in 4K, 15fps mechanical shutter, and I don't need to replace any of my lenses since all I have are EF/S foe the exception of my 22mm f2.4 EFM. I will probably still keep my M50 around because I still love that little thing, for wide shots since there's no stabilization. And with the R7, I can finally justify a 150-600mm lense I've been eyeing for wildlife. I pass by so many great in city parks with good access to urban wildlife, it's been a missed opportunity.
You know, that's not a bad move; keeping the M50 for vlogging/wide shots and using the r7 for everything else. What's crazy is that at 600mm your going to be able to get around 800mm due the the APS-C crop but the r7 can crop in even further in some modes so in reality your going to have like 1800mm or something insane like that. Pair that with the new AF system and it's going to be a monster for birding, wildlife and sports. Can't wait to try these cameras out.
@@FulaanCreative
I'm not sure when I would be able to run this setup, already dumping big bucks into the new camera as is making this Father's Day gift my 2022 splurge. But I do also want to photograph the moon. I tried with my Sigma 18-300mm on the M50 and got some nice results.
@@HeadlessChickenTO yeah i know how it is man. These are some expensive toys for sure. So fun to play with though!

Is the r10 good for beginners to shoot music videos? Should I begin with the Canon r10 with the standard lens kit? Is that good enough?
I wouldn't know I don't shoot music videos but I can say it is a good entry level camera.
Fulaan, you're the one who keeps me focused on m50 mk ii.
Lemme share my story.
I had a6400...but i had money issue so I sold it. Now I want to buy an affordable camera.
I dont know whether to go for m50 mark ii or a6400 again.
Also, I'm a beginner. People are saying you cant get good lenses for m50 mark ii ... Help me decide.
Hmm..not sure. It really depends on your preference. If you are already familiar with Sony cameras i think the zve-10 might also be a good fit. Regarding lenses for the M50; native lenses are limited but EF and EF-s lenses are plenty and can easily be used with an adapter. Anyway. Check out this video comparing zve-10 vs M50. ruclips.net/video/6dKlfE-Vt54/видео.html
Whoa there's no record limit to the r10?! That's the game changer right there!! They probably have proper af for 4k now on it... jeez it's about time!
I know right! Sony has gave their cameras those features long ago.
Hey!
Great video and I really like how you still se and explains the good things about the M50, definetly gonna keep mine!
But after recently purchasing a viltrox speedboster for my m50 with a 24-70 2,8 and a 70-200 2,8 I wanna upgrade to either this R10 or the R7.
I'm going to shot mostly weightlifting and Crossfit(mostly pretty dark gyms) .
Which one of those two would you choose? I have the budget for both but I would really like to avoid spending all that cash on the R7.
Thanks Rickard! I am gonna grab the R10 most likely. I just want to wait and see the footage to make sure the r10 and r7 are decent in low light. I hate noise in my footage. If everything checks out then I'm like you. I am leaning to the R10 but also considering the R7. Hope that helps!
@@FulaanCreative Thanks for the quick reply mate! I think I'm also leaning towards the R10 because they use the same autofocus system.
The r10 is a bit too big, the m50 is more compact. Big decision but as a beginner the m50 might be the way to go, I heard if you put hook the m50 up to a pc then you can record unlimited since the footage goes on the computer hard drive. Any thoughts on this?
I heard that but I'm not sure if it's accurate or not. If so it might still be a bit inconvenient.
Heck i did not know about the 30 Min record limit on my M50 until now and already have invested in few good lenses like Sigma
does 18-35 sigma still fit on M50 like 16 Mm? waht is the best zoom Lense for M50 thanks in advance.
I really like the EF-S 55-250mm. You'll need an adapter. I like the Meike ND adapter....
@@FulaanCreative appreciate the reply i will check that out as i need a zoom lens would that be a telephoto lens or same thing thanks again for outdoor use being far from the person like hidden shows
I have an iPhone 13 (not pro). And i want making real estate videos. I think iphone camera has a very good footage but, in low lights, with ultrawide lens is very noisy.. What do you mean? I need to buy a m50 mkII or R10 or just i use my iPhone, and if i have a bigger company, i will need buy a more serious camera?
Either that or just do your real estate stuff in the daytime. The Iphone is great for real estate stuff but as you said the low light performance can be grainy. An R10, a wide lens and a gimbal would give you some nice footage.
Hi, I really enjoy your videos. They are super informative. Have you received your Canon R10 yet? I can’t wait to see your review. Thank you.
Thanks Andrew! Yup it arrived 2 days ago. Been playing around with it a bit. Videos coming soon.
@@FulaanCreative that’s great news. I can’t wait for your review. I wonder if the r10 is an improvement over the m50 in low light. Thank you. Keep up the great work.
i currently have had a Canon 80D for a long time and have been depsertley researching for months on different full frame cameras for both high quality photography along with stunningly crisp Video for a number of scenarios. I have been buying alot of Sigma Lenses that are EF mount which sucks because the cameras that are obviously better are ones like the Sony A7siii, Sony A7R V, Canon R5 (What I am most leaning towards) which all have different mounts that I would buy adapters to fit my current lenses. I have been debating for so long but deserve an upgrade in quality from what I currently use. Any recomendations on any cameras I did not mention or any I did mention! Do you think the R5 would be perfect for me? I would really appreciate any suggestions from people who have used many different cameras and would like to help me buy the perfect one!
Don't worry about the EF lenses they work great with an adapter and actually I prefer them over RF lenses. The reason is because of a drop-in nd filter adapter from a company named meike. It let's you use ef lenses on rf cameras but gives you internal ND, CPL and black mist filter. Honestly I really like the new panasonic s5ii but I will probobly pay an extra $400 to get the Canon r6 mark ii instead. Mainly so I don't have to make due with out my internal filters. The R5 is an amazing camera but if you are just doing general photo and video what's stopping you from considering the r6 mark ii? It seems like a pretty awesome hybrid camera to me.
@@FulaanCreative Now after more research, I am in the debate between the Canon R5C and the Canon R6 Mii but it’s the megapixels and higher quality over all that’s making me side for the R5C even though it’s an extra $1000 about. I feel like the Canon R6 ii could very much work for me and maybe even better because of the instantaneous ability to switch from photo to video. I just am studying more into cinema and want more of a professional and cinematic look rather than looking like my current dslr. This is the hardest decision i’ve had to make! I can’t figure out what’s perfect
@@Visualize_time R5c is beastly but just be aware of the short battery life.
use a monitor/recorder to by pass recording limit. hope that helps
For M50? There is no clean hdmi out. you'll record all the settings data etc on the screen.
@@FulaanCreative I have the M200 my bad it has clean hdmi out i just assumed M50 had it also.
Brother should I upgrade to the R10 ? I am currently using the Canon M6 Mark II?
If you need unlimited record times and true 4k then I would say yes.
@@FulaanCreative thanks. What if my budget is tight is it worth to change the M6 II to a ZV-E10?
Question: Does the M50 lens, interchangeable with lens of the EOS R10?
no, totally different lens mount. Although you can get an adapter that let's you use EF asnd EF-s lenses on both the m50 and r10.
@@FulaanCreative thanks for asnwering all the comments. Really helps
Starting at 3:00 when you show a comparison are you showing M50 then R10??
No, this video came out before the R10 was released.
i own the m50 for a few months....have to hold this for a few more years....
Don't worry, I believe it will still be relevant even 20 from now...
What's the best affordable laptop to use when you are a photographer?
Lightroom will run fine on even an older mac. The M1 macbook air would do the job well.
@@FulaanCreative thank you 🙏🏾
Hi Fulhaan, I have seen several of your videos and they are very useful.
I am more into You-tube videos and content creation and not much into photography.
I have selected few cameras - Canon EOS RP, EOS R10, M5O - 2 AND M6 - 2.
If you can advise that out of these which one would be a better option in case of video making (Content creation) for You - tube.
One thing that is kind of my concern is EF - M lenses.
But in case of RP and R10, several options are available.
Looking forward to hear from you.
Thanks
RG.
In that price range the R10 and RP are the best options. If you shoot with wide lenses the RP will be easier to deal with as it is full frame. The R10 has the advantage of no record limit and true 4k. I would go for the R10 and get the viltrox speed booster to help remedy the crop.
@@FulaanCreative Thanks a lot for your prompt reply.
I am actually a new comer in You tubing, I am still learning about cameras and lenses by watching your and other videos.
Should I need any further advise, I shall get back to you.
Thanks a lot.
aaaannnnd now we have an R50
I know, too many to keep up with!
When shooting in studio I just use Ecamm Live to get past the record limit of the m50. Footage goes right to my computer.
Awesome. Do you have the Mark II? Because I believe on the Mark one the HDMI is not clean so the computer will record all the settings etc that is displayed on the screen.
I have the Mark 1. The canon EOS webcam Utility app corrects the issue when live streaming it comes over clean.
@@investLasVegasNow awesome. Good to know. Thanks for sharing.

Great video I’ve Just gave my partner a m50 with a sigma ef 18-300 for a early Christmas 🎅 present 🎁 it’s her 1st interchangeable lens camera and she loves it she’s not confident at swapping lenses but when she is she can use my ef lenses like the 400mm 5.6L which I think will be perfect on the m50 although I’d like to see how it looks with the 500 f4 on it lol 😂
Great camera poor lens XD
Would love an R10, just not at that price. I'll maybe wait a few years, and carry on with my M50. I'm still a bit irked that Canon released the 16mm RF pancake lens, which is the exact lens I was waiting for them to release for the M50. That would have made my street photography system complete! Canon grrrrrrrrrrr! 🤨
I know what you mean man, Canon has a love hate relationship with it's customers apparently.
Good point Sir. Very informative.
Thanks Ivan! Glad you liked it.
If I had M50 I would not switch to R10 as long as that M50 still work. Sure, R10 is better camera, but it also cost twice as much.
I did buy R10 because my EOS 7D pretty much gave up on me :)
No doubt, for most people the M50 is more than enough.
I actually own an r10 and just wanted to watch your video cz i like your videos in general haha xD ok gonna watch the rest of the video now ;p
I appreciate that!
A man you’re dope You narrated this perfect
Thanks Cameron! I appreciate that.
no problem man how do you feel about that R7?
I mostly think it's great for video. I wish it didn't have the IBIS but overall it is better than the R10 for sure.
I will keep my m50. The 32mm 1.4 just is too good
Yes, probobly the single best lens in the m-mount system.
32mm 1.4 is king. I like the animal eye focus of the r7, but the r7 is too expensive. Also the most rf lenses are too expensive for hobby users. I don't film, i only shoot portraits. The eye tracking of the m50 mark ii is really good, image quality of the 32mm 1.4 is amazing, so for me there is no reason to upgrade. Actually i want to buy a 70-200 2.8 L Lense for outdoor portraits with the m50
Who wins??guys help me to decide between this two cameras
The new R50 is worth a look.
Only problem with the R10 is no Mic jack. Almost like they want you to upgrade to the R7 just to get the input jack.
What!? Can't be. I thought it was missing the headphone jack but had the mic jack. Let me check again. If it's missing a mic jack then I'm not buying it.
@@FulaanCreative I hope you are right. Maybe I misunderstood the spec's.
@@FulaanCreative Its not missing the audio input, just checked on canons website!
whew! I was about to say; Canon went aggravated with the cripple hammer on this one...
people confuse mic jack and headphone jack. many youtubers need to make it clear as most people dont know the difference and dont care about headphone jack only mic jack on a camera.
What about for podcast purpose only bro?
Not the best for podcast due to potential overheating on long takes. I'd go with the R8 or if the budget is available the S5II preferably .
I don't really love the ZV-E10.
Have you tried the M6 II?
I haven't tried it but the price is pretty close to the R10. I would rather grab the R10 personally.
Same here. I dont really like my sony ZVE10. Considering to buy M50 Markii, CANON RP or R10
Yeah, there are most definitely still many advantages that Canon has. I ordered the r10 and waiting on it now. I Will do some review vids once it arrives.
The recording limit is a tax issue. If it is not there, extra taxes apply because it then goes as a video camera. Pretty stupid but the truth!
I have also heard that many times but I never really understood why Sony and Panasonic had no issue removing it years ago and now that canon removed it it's not like the IRS are gonna come after canon or Canon users so seems like another opportunity for canon to get good use out of it's cripple hammer. But jokes aside I heard it was some tax issue in the EU or something but it never made any sense. Thanks for watching and commenting!
@@FulaanCreative yes, it is a EU thing. It is pretty ridiculous. Let's just say it is a product placement thing... . Another issue is canon's mount used for the M50 mkii. Msny rumours of it being discontinued in the future and canon wanting to replace it with another standard.
Yes, that is also a concern for M-mount owners but honestly I have pretty much always adapted Ef & Ef-s Lenses. I don't really plan on getting any RF glass either as there are so many awesome EF lenses choices out there. Especially on the used market.
@@FulaanCreative maybe pitting the m50 against sony alpha 6400 or smt would be interesting. Sony doesn't have a video limit on it and if I am not mistaken it also has many good lenses that are interchangeable with full sized sensors
O yeah for sure. Sony pack their cameras to the brim w/ features. But them Canon colors though, and that touch LCD...Canon is like that abusive relationship some people can't seem to ever get out of Lol
Cinematic + Simplicity + Informative and also love the juicy meat & Potato. 🙏😍🙏
Haha! Thanks man.
You can actually turn off the record limit using the Canon EOS Utility (which is different than the EOS Webcam Utility)
To my understanding, Canon does this 30 minute record limit to avoid import taxes on video cameras in Europe
Double check that info about being able to lift the 30 minute limit on the M50. I have never been able to do that. I've heard the whole tax thing before but it doesn't add up because other camera companies removed it years ago. Thankfully Canon has now removed it from their new cameras as well.
I'm not entirely sure if it can be done on the M50, as I don't own one, but I've always been able to do it on several older EOS DLSRs.
If you're outside of warranty, I'm SURE it's something you can do in Magic Lantern - but that's a rabbit hole of its own.
Just bought ordered my first mirrorless, actually. I have an R10 on the way! Thank you for all that you do. Excellent comparison content, and definitely influenced my decision.
Love my M50 so much. But I will not support Canon anymore, when they let die the M System.
After that I will switch to Sony, though I don’t like the menu.
Honestly I don't blame you. I am also thinking about getting the Sony A7IV. I haven't decided yet though.
@@FulaanCreative another point for Sony are the third party lenses. The Sigma 16-28 2.8 looks so got for less than 1000€
For canon there are only the expensive RF Lenses or old Sigma EF lenses with adapter.
Only weakness for me on the Sony A7IV is the crop at 60p.
But the R6 got less codecs and only 20 MP.
I really enjoy the handling of Canon and the menu, but the handling on the A7IV is better than on previous Sony Cameras and 33MP are nice for cropping.
Yeah, it's all pretty much true. I am not sure why I'm reluctant. It might be that I'm just too lazy put all my lenses and cameras for sale & then have to buy all new lenses etc.
I'm coming from an eos2000d, considering the r10, m50 or the rp to get eventually.
Just don't know anything about the 3 lol
mainly for photos
The m50 is the cheapest, the other 2 are much better. The r10 has newer features but is aps-c where as the rp has older features but is full frame. All are great cameras
@@FulaanCreative What's the advantage of a full compared to a cropped sensor actually?

The R7 and R10 could be the last nail of the coffin of M series....
Yep, I doubt there will be any new m cameras or lenses.
how do you upscale 1080? do you have a video on that?
There is 2 ways. The best way is to just choose 4k when you go to export. The other way would be to change the timeline resolution to 4k and drop your 1080 clips onto the timeline.

which is better rp or r10?
which is the better buy? video and photography
I would go with the R10 personally.
@@FulaanCreative even in photography too? How is the detail in the r10?
@@kayanna418 yes it's better all around pretty much. The only advantage the RP has is that it's a full frame sensor.
what about the r7 vs r6
Im finding it hard to justify the R10 ove the RP.
Yeah, i mean if full frame is what you need then there is no comparison really.
I like my m50.. i am not switching..
I don't blame you. It's an amazing piece of equipment.
How about the m6 mkii vs the R10?
Too close in price. If the price of the M6 ii comes down to let's say $700 new then it would make sense. At the current price you might as well go for the R10.
What about m6 compared to r10
Hopefully will be making a comparison video once I get my hands on the cameras.
I got lost at r vs r10😵💫
M range is small and cute which is what the new generation want. Now no want to carry a stone with them. Sony is always trying to make small yet quality cameras.
Why not the r7?
$1500 is a bit pricey. I rather spend that on a full frame camera like a used EOS R or something. Unless the the R7 comes out and the footage/noise performance etc. just blow me away.
saludos mi amigo!
