Hi. I have just done a painting of our local beach. but it needs more colour in the sand so this video was helpful. Might go back and try to fix it (without ruining it ). Thank you
Thanks Malcolm, your teaching is superb, motivating, you keep it basic enough to keep focused ...I used to live in Plett and Knysna ...some wonderful artists in the region, in fact South Africa has superb artists ...perhaps the beautiful landscape helps ...I would gladly facilitate a visit to Portugal for you ...the coastline here near Nazare is stunning ...but hard to paint ...but trying
Wow! This is just what I need. I'm halfway through a seascape, but could NOT get the sand right,or a couple of small sand dunes. It's difficult working at the moment having just had a carpal tunnel surgery yesterday. Even playing around with one hand helps to take my mind off the horrid pain. This is a GREAT presentation,Malcolm. I've saved it,subscribed, and, hit the little bell. I keep dropping things! It's soooo frustrating!
@@MalcolmDewey Thank you for your kind thoughts,Malcolm. I'm like a bear with a sore head, woken at 3-30am. Pain, pain go away! Grumble, grumble! I'd give much to walk on some warm beach sand right now.;)
@@MsLorenzo2012 Reckon I would till drop them. It's now 6 weeks since surgery, and, was told last week that my carpal tunnel situation was quite severe, and, the nerve fibres are still "growing back",and causing problems. I know nothing about watercolor crayons. I will investigate. What makes them easier for you?

Thank you. Yes we are spoilt for landscapes but there need to be more contemporary landscape artists here. Portugal sounds great. Who knows 😁

What kind of software do you use to identify the different colors in a picture like yours?
it's called Art Rage
Lekker!
What kind of light red? Is this cad red or the old light red that used in skin tones?
Cad red light
@@MalcolmDewey I went and looked at the red in the gamblin set and sort of figured it was cad red light. Thank you for responding.
Thankyou flint
