Breaks one off on the boat flip - proceeds to continue to boat flip them 😂 you got some Balzz
For real though - it’s really cool to see the way you set the hook on that bait where you reel down to make connection before sweeping the hook into them
Had the same thought. Breaks off $40 bait. Self-chastises for trying to boat flip big fish. Immediately boat flips next fish😂
The Baca burrito is actually a bait made by Burrito Baits. Mike started making them to help with demand. I've been throwing for a long time and they are awesome. Everyone compares it to the Storm swimming shad but it's not. It's a silicon bait and gives it a different action ,especially at slow speeds. Great bait and video
I love seeing how every time you swing and set the hook Bog jumps up and starts looking for the fish.
You’ve discovered my addiction. I used to chase the frog bite as my ultimate fun way to fish….and then you get a fish to annihilate a 9+” bait and frog fishing takes the back seat. The bigger the bait, the harder the fish will hit it to “kill it” and I’m here to tell you…there’s been days I’ve thought about selling all my conventional stuff and going big baits only FULL TIME! Rock on brother!
Hey....Dude.....those big shad baits are like 30-40 BUCKS! OUCH! 😱😱😱😱
I started fishing big swim baits about year n half ago now. That is a great bait!!! I'm a kayak fisherman & addicted to throwing big baits. Can't believe you're still boat flipping after breaking one off doing that! That's not a cheap bait. I'm a woose I don't do any boat/yak flipping I always net them. Broken my pb 3 times this past year fishing big swims. Definitely like your channel & you always catch good ones.
I’ve used the 795 Fury with a Tatula 200 for the last 2-3 years. Good medium size swimbait setup. Not the best for bigger weedless setups, but can work. Just gotta drive that hook hard. I have an older Fenwick Elite tech 7’9 XH I use for that.
Had to stop the video and POST “you are the man!” After the boat flip fail! love your reaction, may be better than landing it!
👊👊
You can set-up a treble hook trailer hook on that bait, with single strand wire. Look-up the way to do it on TacticalBassin's RUclips channel...
+1 sub only because your dog was cracking me up trying to lick/bite every fish you caught. All seriousness great video I have a couple of these swim baits on the way myself!
Really appreciate that man! Ur gonna love that burrito
That dobyns fury 7'9 is a decent rod for lighter swimbaits. I had good luck with it throwing gan craft 178s, deps 145 and 175s, megabass 6 and 8 inch magdrafts, and keitech 5.8s. Another decent budget rod is the daiwa tatula 7'9 swimbait rod. Nice tip but a little stiffer than the dobyns
I stole your "oh no what have I done" I fricken love that saying
Double Jam knot are on all my swim baits XD
You are the man Mikey, only you would giggle like that after losing a $40.00 swim bait! Love your vids and love your garage talk. Give Bogg a pat for me! Tight lines and good fishing!
Sick video dude! Just picked up one of them with some huds.
I had not seen you and Bog for a while, It is good to see you
My Man love your swimbait videos great work thanks for sharing.
Thanks for the video, I just bought some burritos and was poking around to see if my 795 Fury rod will do alright. Looks like it does!
Good information and a very good video. Keep'em coming.
Rod is on sale $97 at TW.
Damn Im not getting the video notifications even know I'm sub and bell is on. Another great video
Awesome video! Excellent as always!
Bought this bait and looked for reviews after (backwards?). But I discovered this channel--holy shit I love this guy! Immediately subscribed!
Just got 2 burritos this morning for Christmas!! Time to get to the water! Awesome stuff Mikey!
you're gonna have some fun with them man!
@@mikeybalzz can’t wait bro!
Awesome video , I’m trying to throw more big swimbaits and wakebaits . Just need to commit and grind on them all day
How hard did you cringe when that first fish broke off I was crying inside😭
You’re a better man than me !! There would have been a LOT of profanity if I’d snapped off like that !! Lol
@@Oldbasshole man i was so stoked to get that bite losing didn't phase me, that fish railed it!
I would probably never boat flip another fish again.. nawwwt
That damn fluorocarbon line!
I’m using the net next time and then boat flips a 4😂😂. Great video🤙🤙👊
I've been wanting to pick one of these up
Dude I feel for ya on that line break!! But you handled it well!!
$39 I would of been crying!!
That joker is expensive! I've got to sneak one into my cart when the "financial advisor" isn't looking!
Look at you go!
Great video man 💪👍
Freakin rock star, let me know if you want to come up to Columbia SC bring the bog and come up and do a blog, exchange some tips
killer man! nice job on sticking with it, I need to do better at locking a big bait in my hand and keep chucking it.
That’s awesome that you were getting bit so well. I’ve been fishing the Bacca for 3 years now and haven’t had a bite.
Man they chewed it it works really well for me in mid depth to deeper water summer and fall seem to be the best times for it at least down here in Alabama
@@mikeybalzzwhat color were you using?
@@matttankersley2839 pretty sure it was disco but i've been using tactical and threadfin lately
@@mikeybalzz awesome, I have a tactical & black n blue in my cart now. I live on the TN/Bama line & my sister n hubby have a place on the water @ wheeler.
Little late Mikey but burrito baits are fire thought that was a Burrito from Gail. Maybe a Collab? I have his 6 in shad with more of a wedge tail. His Burrito Gill caught some giants in Massachusetts last year including my buddy Mike Salvidios 7 14oz and 8 7o7
Looks fun
Continuing to boat flip!! 😂😂💪🏻😅
So begins Mikey’s big bait obsession - Welcome to the club dude
You haven't really done a big swimbait video? Mikey you going to do Keith and Bo like that? You've done excellent big swimbait videos just this year alone, so far!
Are you saving wear and tear on your net. LOL what’s up Bog
FLIP IT!!! BOAT FLIP EVERYTHING!!!!
my new jam
Been fishing the 6” and 8” mag drafts for quite a while. You have to commit to throwing* them all day but down here on Kville and Hwaters it produces fish that are only riveled by shiner fishing …
Mike's regular jointed Bull Shads have been killing it lately burning them on Headwaters. The shiner bite has been on fire, and I feel like the Bull Shad burning and stopping under the surface is the closest imitation to a live shiner right now...
Hey like your videos. Keep up the good work. Do you think i should go with a 7 '3 heavy or 7'3 mag heavy.? Or find something longer. Thanks for throwing them swim baits
I think big baits catch bigger phrase only holds true because a smaller fish wont bite it for fear of getting it stuck in their mouth. Smaller baits with the right action catch the same amount of big fish. Look at the size of crank baits, chatterbaits, creature baits, list goes on. Most in the 2.5-3" long, and they catch tons of big fish!
But the biggest bass won't waste their time on a smaller bait because the nutrition that they would get from it is not worth the energy that they would expend. They are big and fat because they are lazy and only eat a big meal unless it comes straight to them. Which is usually the only time you'll catch a giant on a smaller bait.
@@kylemolletfishing9123 they do get big and lazy lol. I can tell you one thing I've caught 7 bass over ten pounds and each were caught on a 2.75" creature Texas Rigged. Im not saying big baits don't catch big fish, but you'll catch less fish for sure. 2.5-3.5 and you'll catch a lot of fish, small and big. Tight lines!
Awesome video Mikey,it sucks when the Bass snaps off with your new lure 🤬🤣😂
Mikeybalzz what’s your favorite color in the bait?
Bass are looking very healthy!!
Awesome video
I want one of those but I'm dying to get my hands on one of mike bucca's glide baits hoping to get one at the east Tennessee fishing expo next month
My $.02.....don't put a stinger hook on it. Any fish over 2# is going to choke that bait, I had plenty of 2# choke an 8" Hudd. For example, your Redemption fish had it choked. If you had a stinger, there's a good chance it would have been stuck in the gills, likely killing it and ruining your day.
Would love to fish with you the next time you are down near Sebring or wherever. Been following your channel since you started doing these vids. We’ve met a few times at Chobee and in Sebring where I live. Love to go flipping with you! Let me know! Until then keep grinding these vids! We’d be good in a partner tourney. Thanks for all your educational vids!
What is your top pick for 10 lb braid overal?l thank you
Bacca burrito 2.8 oz 6in
Have you ever fished a 8 inch Keitech easy shiner
nope biggest was a 6" fat impact.
Attaboy Mikey!! You've always been a quick study. First time you got threw my baits you got a 10lb 11oz :). I got you a cure for the short bites a coming :)> Always taking care of my boi even if he doesn't come visit me :(
I have a couple burritos and I was wondering how you store them? I store all my swimbaits in there original package but the burritos came in a plastic bag and I don't want them to warp
I just keep them in their original bags in a bigger bag probably not the best solution but they lay flat and one of my rod lockers
RUclips does that to everyone's Channel. I hear a lot of RUclipsrs say that you to unsubscribe people from their Channel
GLAD YOU DECIDED TO GET INTO THE BIG BAITS YOUVE MADE A BIG DIFFERENCE IN WAY I DO THINGS #FATACE😁 YOULL LOVE THE BIG BAITS
Great video and YES…. I had to re-subscribe??
Hey Bog!
You're a beast bro
These aren't new baits they've been around for years. Burrito Baits teamed up with Bullshad to increase supply to keep up with the demand for these baits.
You should dump the red label man. I used it for crankin’ but kept busting off. I switched to invisx and it’s way better.
Hey Mikey, is that dobyns a medium heavy fast or Heavy fast
Man I’m a swim bait junky after my 3 cast first time 2 oz swim bait fishing and I get 6-12 on a savage rtf 6in hitch . I figured it would be like jig fishing this time of year with one good bite maybe 🤔 but it was like one after another .
that's awesome!
@@mikeybalzz already have a 806 on the way also wish the slx reels had a 200 - or 300 reel .
I think I took the loss of that fish, that you broke off on the boat flip, worse than you did! Then you continued to boat flip the fish!!!😳😂
How many fish can u get out of that bait 🤔 looks tempting
they're super durable, it's not just normal plastic like those storm weight in swimbaits. i haven't torn one up yet.
@@mikeybalzz thanks saw the mike bucca shop video and started poking around for some, he also is a very cool guy 😎 and a legend in the swimbait world seems like 👍
It is made out of silicone and will last a long time.
NO palamar knot. It chokes line tighter and tighter.
Change your name to MikeyBogs fishing 😂
Burrito 🌯
Losing a 5lber, and also a $40 swim bait. Good thing that swim bait is cheaper than a lot of them 😛
I used to use the ORIGINAL swimbait over 30 years ago; the SASSY SHAD. The 3" was always the most productive but the 4" got bigger bites. Then came the 5" and 6", which I found to be too big. I caught a 6¼lb spot on the 4", out of Lake Martin, circa 1992. They're still REASONABLY priced.
And continues to boat flip.... 😆
That last bit was a straight choke
Boat flips all day
Oooooopss!!!!!!!! :-P
Congrats on that thicc girl-How are the hook sets on that rod with a jig hooked swimbait? Does it seem to have enough backbone? Im still a newb on bigger swimbaits- I’m getting that exact model soon. Those Burritos look 💰
Love seeing you toss that 🌯 . .and nice Flippin MBRF! I've lost baits too.and imo you laugh it off. Only things that matter is your desire to get bit ,and your willingness to tie on another spendy bait ,to possibly lose or gain the ability to convert more bites! REDEMPTION........
What happened to using the net after losing that 5 lber? Lol
All you do is fish, no cursing, no politics, nothing disrespectful!!! Screw commietoob
Ugh. Losing a $35 swimbait hits differently than losing a Chatterbait.
Hey Balzz you got a fan mail address. I want to send you some baits I pour.
I think you are allergic to net bro. I've been buying some big swimbaits and trying them out the last few months. It will wear you out though.
The dangers of boat flipping big hoggs
OMG!….Dude….you just didn’t do that!
Palomar knot? Am I the only 1 that cringed when he said Palomar knot on red label??... 😱😱😱
Tie a square knot after you tie the Palomar knot
Yeah that's exactly what I was thinking read threw about 50 comments before anyone mentioned it Palomar and fluorocarbon don't mix
