Had forgotten lusting over these in my youth, what a blast from the past! I'd kill to have a pair in my collection, do you still have any you'd be willing to part with?
Amazingly I just learned about these things and came across your video. It's too pricey for me, but I'd love more videos about how you use the keyboard, it's advantages, mouse mode, etc.
+Ed Foster Hi Ed, I posted some historic videos produced by Datahand Systems to help inform and promote about their product. Sadly, the company ceased operations in 2004. I can attest to the career saving innovation that these keyboards were. When I bought my set in 1993, people thought I was crazy to lay out $2100 for a keyboard. But I am typing on my set right now, and it enabled me to continue on to a high paying career in software development, which I'd have lost out on without it. As a keyboard? Pricy. As an alternative to loosing a career and excruciating pain, priceless imho.
I have a couple of DH's sitting in my cupboard. I'm keen to see if they can be remapped. Have you had any experience with this? Switching to a teensy or Arduino board?
hey man... can you message me? there are several people trying to bebuild a modern version fo these: geekhack.org/index.php?topic=41422.msg2706267#msg2706267
+MathCubes When I helped Datahand Systems out back in 2008, they didn't have the money to pay me so they let me keep half the units I was able to rebuild/recondition. I've held onto them all this time and would probably not have sold any of them until a recent illness in the family forced me to it. Even so, I reason it's time to let a few go to other users, and I'll still have several working sets to see me safely to retirement.
Datahands do u still have any more...I would either be interested in either purchasing one and or discussing with u designing a modern interpretation of this great idea
@@chrisbaldwin5170 I know this comment is very late, but the idea behind the Datahands has been preserved in a project called Svalboard. Might be worth taking a look?
man i wish these would come back. they seem super interesting to use. it's a shame too, considering these days ergonomic keyboards are popular

Hi, do you have any more units for sale? I would like to buy one, please.
Would you happen to have any that you're willing to part with? I'd love to try one out.
Good for VIM?
that's what i was thinking lol
This really seems like it could be worth revamping. Did they give you any patenting info?
The patents expired a long time ago they were only good for 20 years in the original came out in 1992 or 93
Work has been done to develop a fully 3d printable version, but making one is a Herculean task due to the number of small, difficult to print parts.

Do you have any left? Even broken ones?
I do have a rebuilt pair, as well as some parts for the DH 200's
Why are you to selling them? Why not keep them?
