I just got into Juliet Marillier’s writing and I absolutely love it. The character building, and themes are exactly up my alley. Her slow build isn’t usually my pace but she does it with such elegance and ease that I can’t put the book down.
Also girl you are literally so pretty!
I loved this! I only just discovered Juliet Marillier last year and she quickly became a favorite author!
Lol my tier ranking for all her books is almost completely different from yours! But I love to see it. Someone's favorite books could be totally different from mine but we both love the same author. Looking forward to your upcoming juliet marillier vids. I honestly love for them lol
Haha! At least we can agree we love Juliet Marillier!
Oh my gosh I loved watching this. Juliet Marillier is my favorite author. Cybele's Secret is also my least favorite. But no love for the Light Isles?! Eyvind was my college book boyfriend 🤣🤣🤣 but I did end up marrying a man with BIG golden retriever energy. I did a video in which I ranked the series: Sevenwaters is of course the best, and Shadowfell was my least favorite.
I’m so glad you enjoyed it!
Well you’re consistent!🤣
I still think The Light Isles Saga is well written and Eyvind’s character arc is really good, I was just so frustrated with him the whole time!🙈
@@badgerreads I totally get that. I'm due for a reread, also. I haven't read it since 2004. It's on my summer TBR
@@badgerreadsrecommended Wolfskin to my sister and she dnf'd it because of Eyvind and his friend lol
okay I love your tiers lol. ALSO I THINK I KNOW WHAT THE BOTTOM TIER IS FOR AND I AGREE
I loved this video so much and now I'm thinking that I will do some version of this once I read a lot more Marillier 👀
This was very helpful! The only books of hers I've read are the first two in the Sevenwaters series. I LOVED Daughter of the Forest, and really liked Son of the Shadows. I definitely plan to continue that series, but now I also know where else I want to go with her next based on your rankings :)
I’m glad it was helpful! I hope you enjoy the rest of your Juliet Marillier journey!
I feel like we viewers underestimate how hard it is to rank books, so thanks for putting yourself through this hard process hahaha.
Loved the tiers you came up with :) And fun to see how these books rank against each other for you!
I think Sevenwaters deserves all the love, whether it has to do with nostalgia or not haha. Great video :)))
I loved Wolfskin, it stayed with me even though I read it years ago.
I just started reading Juliet last year because a dear friend loves her. She is AMAZING
Welcome to the Marillier fan club!!
I think I've read most Marillier books... just missing Wolfskin, FoxMask, Cybelle's Secret, and Wildwood Dancing. The OG Sevenwaters trilogy is perfect. I'm inspired to reread them again!!
They are a great reread!
Seer of sevenwaters is also my favourite of the second trilogy! I actually didn't love where the fey story went in the other two, so it didn't bother me that it wasn't at set at sevenwaters
Yes! The other two in the second trilogy felt different and treated the fey differently. Even though Seer of Sevenwaters had a very different setting the storytelling felt more like first three
I think this settles whether or not I should pick up Cybele's Secret lol 😂
😂
I'm new to juliets books. All books happens in the same universe? Dors it have a reading order for different series?
I have an Author Guide video that answers those questions! It’s linked in this video’s description
Hey there hello 😊
