Some weird glitch on my computer made it lag and skip ahead a bit but the audio stayed the same. So.. You said "our favorite pluto" while a picture of the dog pluto was on screen. then you said "Not that pluto..." and i am just thinking "What?"
SebbisTurret my imac at my dad's sometimes does that too because its bad and since youtube doesn't work on safari sometimes i use firefox and sometimes the video lags and gets behind the audio track

I would have had nightmares for days
I really like the animatronic heads, but they desperately need to make it lighter. Most all of the Mickey Mouse cast members are women, and the battery packs and heads just weigh too much for them. Some of these women are getting neck damage you would see in a 40 year old, on a 20 year old. They are updating the heads, but they are really dangerous as they are right now.
Close friend of mine has permanent back damage because of it.
Oh my! That's so awful :( I wonder how much they weigh? I hope Disney can come up with a solution soon! It's awful anyone got hurt from that

Heartswirl The Tee.V Women tend to play characters like Mickey and Donald because short women are easier to find than short men. Characters like those tend to stand around 4'8" to 5 foot while princesses are generally around 5'4" so these ladies couldn't play princesses anyway

With Pooh especially, considering the change from the "hunny" pot sculpt head to the version we have now. Perhaps even include the _Welcome to the Pooh Corner_ version, since it is a costume also.

I wonder if kids in the 1950s had a different perception of what is scary because not only are these characters scary as heck, a lot of stuff "for kids" was in those days. They had creepy easter bunny suits, Howdy Doody looked creepy as hell, the clown dolls they sold were nightmare fuel.

BMarttiin _R well Disney dan didn't really talk about how Minnie looked and how she changed all he said about Minnie in episode 1 was Mickey AND Minnie he talked about Mickey not Minnie so it's still a request she looked a bit similar to Mickey but there's still more to talk about her
It's the fact that they keep refining the design that I find most interesting. They really could have stopped 20 years ago and been fine. But moving eyelids. That's impressive. I wonder if the wearer is momentarily blinded when that happens.

I absolutely love these videos, it's amazing seeing just how different things were between decades.. being a child in Disney in the 50's probably would have scarred me, though.

I dismissed Pluto for a long time but within the past year, I have grown to love the puppy! He is definitely one of my Disney favorites! He has my loyalty!
First Pluto in the ice one was like "Come here little boy"😰
What I hate is that the Ice Capades costume was the only one that got Pluto's collar right. Pluto's collar has almost always been green, but the costumes always have an orange collar!
With the Winnie the Pooh idea you could do all the Winnie the Pooh characters because they probably had less changes than the sensational six
Don't forget to include the _Welcome to Pooh Corner_ versions. They qualify as costumes too.

Loving these videos! Even though they have a similar storyline, I like how you note the subtle changes over time. I would love one on Winnie the Pooh, because there's so much to cover- The giant head/honeypot version, the "Welcome to Pooh Corner" tv show version, all the way up to the current one!

The reason why I'm asking this cuz I know you're going to probably get to the princesses sooner or later but it's best if you do it sooner because I know those are questioning about that
And I think my favorite two princesses I would really want to see is Ariel and Aurora I'm from Disney World and Disneyland and I'm a bit of an adult both of them

Not a huge change, but Pluto's tongue was a lot longer in some photos than in others post-1978, with the more modern head that we see in the parks today. Curious when his tongue "shrank" but it definitely happened at some point.

pluto and goofy are both dogs. pluto is a normal dog and goofy is a humanoid one. here is my theory: What if pluto is actually and alien? first: his name. PLUTO. a star. why is it named that? i dont know, maybe because THATS WHERE HE CAME FROM. second: he is yellow, which is found in labradors. maybe he is an hybrid between it and another dog, but no dog has such thin long ears, that get up to express them. dogs express with their tails. talking about tails, lets talk about his. ITS ONE GIANT HAIR. why? i dont know, maybe he isnt a dog. cartoons need to make sense. if they dont, nothing will (at least when youre at disneyland where he actually walks) or maybe, pluto is mickeys second puppy, and in their universe puppys look like adult dogs and adult dogs look like human dogs, and everything we see in mickey mouse shorts with pluto is flashbacks.

Today Pluto is now the veteran Disney dog because you might have noticed he is 88 years old exactly a year younger than Minnie mouse the former dog owner who is 89 years old this year along with his current dog owner mickey mouse who’s also 89 years old
This actually happened once! So, when i entered Magic kingdom, I saw Pluto so I got to a VERYYYY short line! So when I was there, I kissed his cheek and kissed me back! So cute! And when I met circus ballerina Minnie, Me and her did a dance performance! It was So fun and Cute!
