No, there were not 3 victims, there were 2 victims. Carly wasn't then nor now, a victim. A lot of people have lost a sibling, have divorced parents and a father or mother who had addictions. That is not excuse for murder. Carly seemingly didn't like discipline; thought she was old enough to do what she wanted. She wanted so bad to be an adult, now she has it, she can go to prison as an adult.

I love that the defense dressed her like a harmless little girl to try and gain sympathy from everyone, what an absolute lie. That child is pure evil. No matter what your upbringing or mental health status, murder is never acceptable. This wasn't self defense, it was thought out and methodical. She showed no emotion until the end when her sentence came down on her and she realized that she wasn't going to get away with it. Should they have locked up the guns? Yes, absolutely. So the parents do share a tiny bit of blame, but they had no idea that girl was planning murder. I hope she actually does spend the rest of her life in prison as I believe it is extremely likely she'll kill again if let free.

She might actually have bipolar, who knows? But it's entirely separate from what she did. She killed her mother in cold blood and she just so happens to also be mentally ill.
She was talking about killing her mom for a fairly long time before she switched meds. The message she sent her stepdad made complete sense, she wasn't acting manic at all in her arrest video. It seems like she genuinely thought that she'd be found guilty but given a super light sentence because of mental illness.

He told her where the gun was that was already cocked and ready. Does anyone else find his reaction fake? I think the mom found out about the stepdad and her daughter. The way he was on the stand wasn’t sincere. She needed her friend to come so the friend can say something about having 3 bullets for her stepdad. There’s one cover up . I find it suspicious, there was a case years ago the foster daughter killed the mother, it was planned with the father and for life insurance, she didn’t give him up until she faced life and he was out enjoying himself. She also used mental illness defense and up until she was found guilty he had contact with her in jail etc. I can’t help think this is a very similar situation but also until convicted some people don’t consider someone guilty of a crime will his actions change now she’s been found not to have insanity once that sets in and the reality she was sound of mind when she did this him and the grand parents may see her differently.

    Here's my spidey sense feelings:
    1. When the stepdad was asked about the no contact order, his eyes closed and his face revealed pain regarding the no contact and then lightened up when the lawyer said the judge had it lifted.
    - 2. When he discussed the shooting he was smiling through it which is when he should have closed his eyes and face cringe with pain at the thought.
    3. Him saying she NEVER showed any signs of anger which is obviously a lie, being that she had issues abiding by house rules.
    4. There's no footage of her shooting her stepdad and him wrestling the gun...and only got grazed on the shoulder??? Did it go down as they both say or did he get her to graze him.🤔
    5. When the judge is reading the verdict, the stepfather looks devastated...broken. Why.
    6. He's visiting her in jail and when the question was asked he couldn't help but grin and sway his chair back and forth like a school boy with a crush
    7. It appears to me that there was much more going on than what is being revealed. Did they have some kind of relationship? Did he let Carly know where the ghun would be and make sure it had bullets with less recoil so it would be easier to handle? How far back was she when she shot at him and how did he manage to make it across the threshold to grab the gun from her? Was this all planned out in advance and the text to him was a subliminal message to let him know without coming out with it??? Why was he laying on the ground when his shoulder bone was just grazed?🤔🤔🤔🤔
Did she send her friend out so she wouldn't see exactly what was to take place? There's something off between Carly and him and I have my guesses.
