@KeyWestWaterman. I have a place in Marathon and just caught the biggest Mahi of my life on all Shimano tackle (speed master & Trevala mh) that I only bought after watching your show. +1 vote here for your Shimano sponsor!
What a great surprise. I wasn't expecting a video this Monday after y'all's historic weekend. Awesome video and congrats to you and ms Madeline, stay happy my friend!!
Loved the extended outro! Hope y’all are enjoying married life. Nothing like those moments you (re)realize you get to hang out with your best friend for the rest of your life. 10/10 would recommend.
Great episode man. Even these laid back episodes are a nice retreat from the cold and rainy weather here up North. Im finally taking the plunge and moving my whole family from WA state down to Tampa in 2 short weeks. Seeing and hearing your story about following your dream and moving to the Keys has definitely been an inspiration and given me at least a little extra confidence that following my dream (no matter how crazy) is always the right decision. Looking forward to more awesome episodes and watching you create an amazing, joy filled life. :)
@@KeyWestWaterman Are you really almost always happy man? I've been stuck in Europe (the bad weather part) for 23 years already, after my youth in the Caribbean up until I was 18. I hated Europe for the first years and then sort of come to terms with it and then made the best of it and build up my life here. I did great, got very successful, got the money, have the Mansion and the fancy cars, lots of free time, but never truly been as happy as (I think) I was living on my island and going out fishing most of the time. But I made the decision to move back and I will sell everything next spring and move. I'm sort of scarred of leaving all behind that I build up in the last 23 years, to be honest. I won't get it all back if it does not work out. I guess I'm asking you if you really are almost always happy to give me some extra faith in what I'm doing is the right thing, because I'm kind of in this mindset after all there years that maybe true happiness does not exist and moving won't do much after all. But still I'm 100% sure that I will move, I'll just take the risk of maybe have a happier life. If anybody did something similar in his / her life, taking the gamble to move to another place and leave a seemingly perfect life behind for a dream to be happier somewhere else, then I would love to read your story.
Man I LOVE The enthusiasm and just sheer happy in your voice in this video!! It's like you are 5 years old and hooking your very first fish!! So freaking awesome to see!!
Love the vid, as always. You obviously know what you are doing, but I have a tip you may want to try. When you first start chumming a spot with live bait, use a plastic jug with a handle and the bottom cut out. Get a bit of water with the bait and sling it out. Then, just throw small scoops of water out afterwards every little bit. Only throw a couple baits out every few minutes. The water does the same thing, attracting fish in to the sound and splashes as much as the bait brings. Then, when the fish are there, you don't have to compete with as many baits in the water. Also helpful if you don't have a blacked out livewell to start with. Cheers!
Those big fat kids ball bats with the top cut off work awesome for flicking bait super far with little effort and there us already a hole in the end of the handle to drain
I just ran across your channel, and it’s my new favorite. It’s real, not like so many channels that catch 159 lb fish every five minutes. Your channel is my kind of mellow. Thanks for your content!
With these “Four Tuna” I wish you and your wife “Buena Fortuna” and a life of happiness! That was a great video - super exciting - especially the first bite when the line was peeling and you hadn’t seen it yet… I was shouting and jumping.
Ive been behind on videos i just caught up and watched your im done with charters video,i charter fished and longlined for over 20 years, ive talked to you before,we used to dock the longline boat at stock island quite often, but i opened a property management company once i got married and i still have my rs and i fish on the weekends and not busy days, but im definitely glad i quit making a living out of it when i did, because my appreciation for the ocean and what i get to live next to is so much greater when its not a job,its amazing how people can make u start to hate the thing you love most, and for me it was 100% the people not the jobor my surroundings
Greetings to you who are Moroccan and are good at fishing professionally. Your method is very correct, but here is something that must be installed to catch tuna on the edge of the boat. Installing an Inox hose that connects one unit after the other and installing a water pump to give you a water mist. You must spray the live sardines and all the tuna will come to your boat. Greetings to you from Frankfurt. Germany.
Just checked out instagrams and looking at those beautiful pictures of your most beautiful bride. Wow she really shines brightly, with her beauty and love. Congratulations to you both.
Given what you stated at the end of the video....congrats to you and the new Mrs. Young! Wishing you both all the best and hope your big day went smoothly! Enjoyed the video, awesome sandwich recipe! Cheers!
I love catching tuna! I would recommend a topwater popper so you can cast to the foam and one of your speed or slow pitch jigs for when they are deeper… lots of ways to catch them!
Believe it or not they don't eat poppers well down there at all. The only good surface bite comes last 30 mins of light. His technique is the money during the daytime and the trolling boats will watch him catch fish all day while they wait for the $ hour
@@ThumpemupFishingchannel very familiar with it and it's mostly Yellowfin right???? So imagine those same fish in crystal clear water?? I mean being able to see bottom in 80ft they're super boat shy and will maul a cedar plug in the evening so you know they would eat a popper at dusk
Great afternoon outing, and great tutorial, thanks for sharing! Excellent tips on preserving the fish & quality of the meat. Regarding the leader, not to promote any specific brand, I use 30 lb. Seaguar Gold Label Line Fluorocarbon leader, its as thin as the 25 lb. but with the added strength. Hook size I use 1/0 or 2/0 ... I'm on the Gulf side and go out of Sarasota FL. 🎣
Yet another great video. Delicious looking recipe...please share ingredient list (especially spices). Congrats on the wedding + looking forward to the new ventures and posts.
I was completely amazed at how sturdy & steady the camera view was while the boat was rocking... Enjoy ya'lls wedding day... Congratulations...! TNX 4 VID LOL
As always great video! I saw you looking at the fish finder quite a bit, you should make a quick video of how the fish finder works and what it means when your marking fish for all of us who just see green red and yellow lines on the screen. 😂or maybe maybe its just me lol. Thanks for the great content!
Well I was wondering when the big day was…that is soooo awesome!! Congratulations!! Now, on to the video… I was wondering why you needed so much bait… Now I know! I was wondering how you were going to prepare the food… Now I know! And I was wondering when you were finally going to get married… Now I know! Keep up the great work I so much enjoy watching your videos…
This episode made me smile like crazy! Tuna fishing is something I love and have only done once. Can’t wait to get out there soon and catch some myself. Thanks for sharing.
Make that same sammich with an A.P. It will be life changing lol. I had it in Louisiana once and still talk about it. Tuna is hard to beat any which way. Great video cap!
Well congrats on the wedding. I'll bet you never thought in a million years you would be cooking for content. Hope you are both happy all the days of your life. My wife's Aunt Sandra sold her place on Sugarloaf she moved in town. There is a conference room at the college library named after her. My wife and I love watching,Sandra has been there since 61. We have seen a lot of changes through the years visiting. I'm betting it was a super hornet. They flew right over me at Sammy Creek lol. Remember calm seas never made a good sailor. Safety Second
I lived in Southern California most of my life. We would go to the piers in Orange county and the bonita would boil while eating anchovies. The anchovies were in huge bait balls of MILLIONS! That was back in the early to late 1960's.😊
You gotta get a trolling motor with spot lock for those wrecks, and for being able to move closer to the fish when they are blitzing without spooking them with the engine noise
Thanks for the tuna! Yum. (Virtual). Love your vids as they go from start to finish. Bate to bite. Also very happy to see you covering up from the sun. Very smart move.
