    When was the last time the Game Warden pulled up at your fishing spot? If y'all don't want to be like the other people not catching any fish, do yourself a favor and check out this video ruclips.net/video/R3Rq19vFSjc/видео.htmlsi=TWZuTAkLx347Rzu0 to see what rig we were using to catch all these fish. Exactly! In other videos we explain what lures to use, what bait to use, how to work the lures, what bait rigs to use. I also bring up if other people are near you and they are getting bites/catching fish and you aren't, try doing what they are doing and if you aren't sure try asking. Usually people are friendly enough to explain what they are doing. That being said if they check out slip float video, that goes into great depth on the rig we were using.

      Since always (at least in Texas). A limit is what you can take home with you, nothing in the TPWD book that says you can't continue to catch fish and release them back into the water and also you can still keep fishing for all the other species that are out there such as Redfish, Pompano, Black Drum, Flounder, etc.

    • @robertcox9226

    • @MattsSaltwaterFishing
      @MattsSaltwaterFishing  3 месяца назад

      Overkill? In Texas we are allowed 5 Sheepshead per person per day. If this makes you upset then you should be worried about an older gentleman from Missouri that comes down in the Winter and fishes Port A. He strictly fishes for Sheepshead 5 days a week, he catches and keeps his limit every single day over the course of 3 or so months. That's about 300 Sheepshead, now that would really be cause for concern.

    Do you have massive families that you cant afford to feed or something try contraception, as a fanatical fisherman I just don't understand the kill everything possible mentality. Fresh fish is the best way to catch and eat as once it's been frozen you may as well go buy it from a supermarket after it sat in a trawler freezer for a week. Do you go hunting and shoot everything on sight cause you can?

    • @PocketAALures
      @PocketAALures 5 месяцев назад +2

      They live without it and it’s safer for people especially since that one was close to the beach and people are swimming. They do that here in the gulf and it’s dangerous if you get hit by one so it’s for humans safety. An animal is not more important than a human life

    • @MattsSaltwaterFishing

      Barbs grow back and to be honest, if that barb was not removed, the gentleman that caught it would have more than likely been stung by it because he did not know how to properly handle it. What usually happens when a Stingray stings a person or another fish, the barb is venomous and made to dislodge/break. The unfortunate side effect to that is it can leave some nasty wounds in people, causing them to go to the emergency room and have to battle infections for sometimes up to several months.

As far as eating I heard that some people do eat them and supposedly some restaurants serve the wings up as "scallops".
