I really hope we do get new voice lines for Morty. Aside from that I absolutely love his moveset, especially how his portal is different from Rick's too.

I love the specification that it’s “A Morty” and not necessarily the one we follow in the show. A great way to add to the immersion of that style.
I wish that Rick & Morty will get some new voice lines for the game soon, but other than that I love how fun he looks.

Yeah, I'm glad they decided to implement them both and not only that I'm glad they didn't just pull a tom and jerry. It even kind of makes sense from a lore standpoint this way.

the way morty plays makes him feel like more of a mage than a bruiser
The big hammer and the down spike feel like heavy attacks but all of his specials are mage things from the looks of it. I think they just classed him as a bruiser so he was different from Rick. They should have leant more into the giant arm morty, or maybe mech suit morty rather than all the random referneces

MultiVersus has done well in terms of the originality of each character's moveset. Smash Bros may have 80+ characters, but many characters receive the same Neutral Airs, the same Up Tilt, etc. The only major similarity between movesets in the characters of MultiVersus would be Down Air (as most characters have some sort of spike). That being said, it looks like Morty is gonna be an absolute fookin menace.
mate what are you on about, multiversus just copied smash without bringing any life into the characters, theyre all so stilted and lifeless, most of the smash attacks in multiversus just involve charging a punch, and the limited roster and gameplay is already stale .
Its pretty cool how we get to use some of these characters and their movesets are so accurately capturing their out-of-game abilities
@@psyllium264 I agree that the smash attacks are usually just charging a punch, but that's not too different from Smash. Either way, smash has had decades to refine its roster, Multiversus is doing well for the amount of time that it's been out. Smash will always be the Goat, but we should be glad that other games are trying, considering the long history with smash going against its playerbase.
I guarantee as more characters get added we'll see more similar moves, sometimes it's just easier to reuse things
Either way, I completely agree, my biggest problem with NASB is how generic the character's movesets were, you didn't really feel like you were playing that character, while Multiversus' buggest strength imo is how faithful every character feels
@@inclementwrath8755 yeah its a good start for the game but i dont think it has the longevity that smash has, the player base will likely abandon it as content is being released too slowly. new characters are great but the gameplay is limited and lacks depth

@@thegamewin100 that's why they nerfed almost all of em to have a bigger delay between moves, also safe with less hp ( so sometimes u can one shot it)
@@thegamewin100 none of his attacks are safe, hes one of the more unsafe characters. his projectiles are projectiles so they obviously not punishable from a distance
Finally, we'll actually get to hear cursing when we have the option enabled.
The rewind device was such a creative addition, and love both his outros haha

Morty Looks So Fun I Can't Wait To Play it
Even though his voices are reused from the show. They atleast make a lot of them sound like they would be for the game. All in all he looks fun
I'm really hoping they add more assasins to the game. It's my favourite playstyle but I don't really like any of the characters currently in that group. I think Stripe would be a great choice for it though. Hope he's coming soon!

Nah, Bugs, Tom & Jerry and Reindog seem like they're gonna be the ones with the most skins. There's already another two skins for Bugs and T&J that have been officially shown but aren't in the game yet, while Reindog has like six if you've followed the datamines.

After Season 4, Morty has more than proven that he can kick ass on his own without Rick's help

Im still feel underwhelming about the lack of "strengh" the music has in Multiversus but i feel it aims for a more mainstream audience, fighting game style music isnt necessarily mainstream at least imo.

The fact that have black Adam and grimlin on the cover of this season instead of Rick and Morty is a humongous miss imo. Almost no casual player knows who they are and the appeal of the game are initially the big names
That might be why they have them on the cover, since they are coming to the game this gets people to look them up and see who they are. I definitely get your point, but at the same time Rick and Morty need no introduction and anyone who would be swayed by seeing them on the cover probably already knows they are coming
