Well, as a person whose heart is solely in the music, lyrics are a pleasant spice to have when done right, but if the lyrics are great and the music is bad, there is No way Im listening to such songs. However, the lyrics might be trash or even Not understandable, but the music is excellent and I will listen to the songs nonetheless. There are times when the lyrics are great and the music sucks and I love it, but that is when its intentional, and the lyrics are great solely due to them just trolling something.

Songs like The Axe, Liquid Fire, Born In Winter, L'Enfant Sauvage and maybe even Planned Obsolescence have so much emotional power in the vocals and even in the guitar riffs aswell, especially with the first 2 i listed.
