Spooky season is coming to what feels to me to be a far-too-early end. With that in mind, we have yet another episode from Ryan and Shane with Buzzfeed Unsolved Supernatural: The Demonic Goatman's Bridge. While they set out to answer the question of whether or not a demonic entity actually resides near Alton Bridge, I set out to find out if their nonverbal communication says something else!

Fun fact: after this episode aired, people bombarded the Old Alton Bridge Wikipedia page with edits to change the name to “Shane and Ryan’s Bridge”. Eventually they locked the page from edits, but it showed up as Shane and Ryan’s Bridge for a while on Wikipedia lol

For a while the Wikipedia entry on this bridge was renamed to Ryan and Shane's bridge. It was damn funny.
I think there have also been reports of vandalism where people tagged it "Shane & Ryan's Bridge". By the time their Q&A for the episode came about less than a week later they had to tell people to stop doing it lol.

The fact that nothing has happened to Shane despite the number of times he has yelled and disrespected possible ghosts and demons has helped me become more of a skeptic.
I like to imagine that every ghost and demon has followed Shane home and his house is like Paranormal Activity but he just keeps coming up with tons of excuses for all the weird stuff that happens and goes about his day normally despite 🤣

That's because Shane is a demon lord and they only act when I commands it.
This is totally fair and I'm not disagreeing per se bc I think everyone should form their own opinion on this, but from my own perspective as someone who is 50/50 (I believe in many things and find some plausible and genuine but I also am skeptical and critical of people who believe everything too easily) I'd also argue that because of Shane's lack of fear he's simply not an attractive target (vulnerable prey is generally more sought after in nature after all), and that perhaps he could even unintentionally intimidate an entity that may be present, because a person who is truly not afraid is harder to get one over on or exploit. If we assume that these entities are limited under physical parameters in relation to the material world and therefore very limited in their offensive measures, that is. That is conjecture though, none of us know for certain.
it depends on what each person believes since there isn't any proper scientific facts that can be used as the norm, in comparison, when it comes to this topic.
for example, i don't believe in demons and don't think ghosts can follow you home/can leave their place of haunting. so to me it's reasonable why nothing would have happened to him in demon episodes or outside the supposed haunted locations.
a reason for why ryan might seem less nervous is something that he's mentioned before. he's said that he kinda got used to ghosthunting and the sallie house was one of their first haunts and the house itself scares him to death, so he was just at his peak scare. another thing he's said is that shane is a huge source of comfort to him and his shenanigans help him calm down and as we can see here, shane was really turning UP the silliness so that distraction probably helped ryan

my absolutely favourite "headcanon" is that Shane is possessed by a greater demon and that's why none of the ghosts or whatever reaction because they're scared of Shane (Obvs this isn't true, but it's still great fun to think about in the context of the show)

My friends and I used to just say “I disrespect your bridge, goatman” to each other all the time. Truly one of the funniest bits of their whole series.
As far as Ryan not self soothing or perhaps not being as scared in this video, he’s said before that having Shane there is a big comfort to him. And Shane is really playing it up in this video which I think really takes Ryan’s mind off of where they are. The funnier Shane is the more relaxed Ryan is lol.
I love this so much. The day Shane showed his demon side and just stole another demons bridge just to spite them. Good times.

I used to live in Corinth Texas where the Goat-man bridge is, I’ve driven over it several times, never encountered anything supernatural. Though it is creepy at night. It’s closed no one can access it anymore.

I used to live in Denton to go to University! I went to that bridge many times. There's good trails for hiking and a bunch of bike trails nearby. There is indeed a lot of bugs and the water in the river is absolutely horrid, but it's actually just a really cool bridge! No weird vibes in all the times I'd been. It is very solid.
I can't believe how y'all are half way around the world and covering our little bridge! It's actually a popular spot for the students in Denton to visit at night for fun, at least once.

I lived merely 5 mins from this bridge for 5 years, not too long ago. Heard many stories and drove past it all the time. A lot of suicides happened there, and a lot of college kids exploring and seeing cats, but not much else that I heard about.
The Old City Jail definitely should be the next episode to check out if you're willing to continue this. We can see Shane and Ryan experiencing something there, it's such a good episode.

The mission solano episode has a good moment showing shane afraid.
I think it's more the location is very Scary. Not the haunted part but, like the island of doll where they got Fraud. Shane is worried someone from outside just comes in and held the for ransom. It's a shady place. You really don't need a haunted house to be scared you just need a place where lawlessness loams and your scared to be Cartel Yoink for stuff you may offer

I do wish that there was a little more body language analysis in the parts where you guys paused, but I really enjoy the dynamic that the two of you have.
