I work for an electric utility. Our mobile fleet mechanic makes $100+ an hour. Linework is incredibly tough on fleet. Maybe contact your local utility and see if they need work.
Happy for you brother 💯🙌🏼 I hope it’ll all go well with the business , I myself avoided the mobile work because I know there are some crazies out there that would give me a hard time 😬 Keep it up man 💯
I had 30 years working out of back of a van...In the UK then since 2016 Spain and France...in the last year I've made a change....I just work for 2 clients now....a garage in Spain and some friends in France with excavators, vans tractors etc.....im much better off financially...
I don't do mobile, I have them bring it or tow it to my house. I don't want to haul my tools around 😂,it's always the one you need is the one you didn't bring 😂. Anyway. I have a full time job in computer work, but like doing repairs. I book 2-3 a week after work in the summer and weekends. It makes me money and it's better than watching TV. I do know my limits though. I don't get over my head and stay away from anything that is European 😂.my speciality is Toyota and Honda, with few Fords
I have been doing mobile mechanic for 2 years now, and it is feast or famine at times. Some days I am making $1000 plus, some days I don't have any jobs. I really do like the work, but sometimes I feel like I am semi-retired LOL.
Get on an app like wrench or your mechanic, set the times you want to be available and they will send you work. I’ve used them to build by own customer base

@@Matthewjo22 okay cool! I don’t do much in depth diagnostics I’m just looking to get something that’s in between entry level and high level. That camry filter housing was a bear the first time I tried to remove mine. I ordered a replacement and then did the oil change.
