That's very nice of you spend some time with man, to give him some time to reminisce his days gone by... I can only wonder if his children at late in his life, do the same,by him? Bless you!
Lee Canady is alive and well. I JUST spoke with the man on the phone an hour ago. Where do you get the idea that the great man has passed, Michael? What is your connection with Lee?
I wish someone would make a compilation video of me misunderstanding Lee followed by Lee correcting my misunderstanding. In the latest published video of us talking (ca. May 15th, 2024 [Detroit Street Photography Session #319]), I confused "WGPR" for "WGBR" and "Victor Gaskin" for "Victor Gaston" (and certainly I must have mixed up a few more names in that one interview alone). I blame it on my bad ears. That is one reason I like having the headphones from my field recorder on throughout my interviews: it helps me hear my interview subjects more clearly, so I can stay on top of the rhythm of an interview better (I can track when things rise and fall by sound [and all the better with monitoring], and pace is important).
