I use the cruise when I am bruch cutting our pastures. There are no stumps and just a couple rock tops but I know where those are at and can avoid them. Most the time I go cut around the rocks first so I see them better while I am mowing the whole pasture. But I do use the cruise. It works great.
Yep, we demonstrated the standard cruise control on the Ford New Holland compact tractors since the late ‘80s on some of their models. Kubota has it standard equipment on some models and as a dealer add-on on the economy models. Used my Kubota MX4800 cruise control yesterday while Bush Hogging ( yes, it is that brand). Mine is a push lever to the left of the seat. Push it forward and it stays where you leave it. Step on the brake pedal and it disengages.
Shur Glad to SEE that you "Ditched the Quick-Hitch". By having a "Quality-Tractor" ( equipped with Telescopic lower link-ends) the "Head-aches" are OVER ! Those "Quicky-hitcheys" should be "Out-lawed"; reasons Sloppy-wobbly, over-extending the load, cluter the rear-ward vision, limited side-sway offset,a Less-Than "Positive-Lock-Up".hardly compatable with more the One piece of Equipment at a time, & STILL have to get Off of the Tractor to hook-up the PTO ! And goes the same for those "Add-On Quicky-lower link ends" just Hazardous Gimmick's. Thank you Sir for Another Excelent vidio and happy safe tractoring. Best wishes with all your endeavours.
Well you caught me with the title Hank; stopped by to find out, and of course I use the Cruise Control and Auto PTO on my Branson a lot already particularly when mowing. Nice job.
I've used my tiller behind a geared tractor, so, yup, I've used cruise control. What the other gentleman said about the furniture dollies is a good idea. I used a pair of small Harbor Freight dollies linked by 2x4s under my tiller, box blade and other implements and one larger solid dolly under my ballast box. You can store more out of the weather, and it makes it super easy to hook up to the implements.
The cruise control while tilling would be like using a gear drive tractor like I have which gives a consistent speed during the task. Definitely better then holding your foot on the pedal. Draft is more for turn plowing so your plows maintain the same depth. Draft requires a change in load resistance to work properly. Tilling I usually just lower the 3 point lever all the way down to get the maximum depth. Enjoyed the video and hope the sun flowers do well! Take care.
Draft control is to maintain a limit on pull needed for any implement. Depth control is to maintain constant depth. Some old Easter bloc tractors, Ursus and Zetor also had "mixed", a combination of draft and depth. My Craftsman lawn mower has cruise control but it is difficult to set. Daughters old gear drive mower is easier to drive.
Great video, Hank. I have two questions: what kind of safety cage do you have And do you have any plans to attend the equip expo in Kentucky this year?
It's a Titan cage I believe. We usually do the Ag expo in Ga instead of the equipment expo. They are on the same date. Maybe one year I'll get up there.
hi hank i have a 2022 t494(same as yours with no turbo) my 3 point lift and hydraulic top link are not working. 37 hours. any ideas?thanks rich canadarago lake ny (cooperstown) in the middle of landscaping entire yard road to lake. HELP!
Skim through this video... I talk about it in here. 10 most common tractor questions! I bet you’ve asked this before! ruclips.net/video/dJXXJXWaV9o/видео.html Try the knob, or make sure the detent in the rear remote isn't engaged
If you are going to store them on a concrete pad like that then pick up a couple of furniture dollies and screw 2x6’s or some scrap plywood to them and set the implement down on it. Makes it super easy to rearrange things and hook them up
I would have spent the compost money on meat chickens. They'll take care of the weeds, and add fertilizer. 9 weeks later, harvest and you're ready to plant. :)
I just had the weirdest thing happen. I had been using my open station tractor in a very dusty environment yesterday and as soon as I saw you tilling in this video I could literally smell the dust just as real as can be. So strange!
Don’t use cruise control, only throttle. (That’s all I have). Use the draft control when plowing for the garden. Also, ever thought about putting your safety cage on a movers dolly? Would be able to just push out of the way when needing to move for other equipment hookups.
I don't think that I have ever used cruise control on any of my machines. On my old "big" tractor (Ford 3600) I control speed by gear selection. I just prefer to use my foot to control my speed.
Move tractor forward a little to make screen show the speedometer. Turn headlights on dim. Hold down info button for around 15 seconds. It should change to mph. Then push info button to show engine temp. Turn lights on bright, hold info button down till it changes to Fahrenheit. Usually around 15 seconds it will change. I think is the process....hope that works for you
Yuup use Cruise Control evert time I till, it's called gear drive LOL......But more importantly is why would you start your tiller on the ground? If i did that in some areas of the rocks I farm I would shear a bolt or slip the clutch really fast.. but hey whatever works for you...
No, when the 3 point is raised a certain height, the PTO stops. Like when you use a tiller and get to the end of the row, raise the tiller and it stops spinning, set it back down after you get set up for the next row and it starts spinning again 👍

Yes, I use mine mowing as well! Thank you for watching
Hank do you use a slip clutch?? Just curious do to you being in auto. When tiller cuts off and on does it not break the sheer bolt with high rpm
It's a slip clutch👍

Excited for your new channel!
Thank you very much 😊

Good video. I also like that front camera! do you have a video on the installation?
Thanks
Yep! Super easy!
Installed this accessory on my tractor! IMMEDIATE improvement!

Wow, I’ll bet your the only one that new about cruise control!!
Great video, Hank. I have two questions: what kind of safety cage do you have And do you have any plans to attend the equip expo in Kentucky this year?

That's a sweet feature. I'll remember that when I get my tractor!
Indeed

Hey Hank, use cruise control on my Kioti quite a bit. Love that feature. Enjoyed the video.
Nice!
I really enjoy your TYM Tractor videos…and so does Alex! #PapaLife
Glad you enjoy it!
If you are going to store them on a concrete pad like that then pick up a couple of furniture dollies and screw 2x6’s or some scrap plywood to them and set the implement down on it. Makes it super easy to rearrange things and hook them up
Thats what I did. The Harbor Freight mini or standard size depending on application. Makes implements super easy to connect to also.
Love your video Hank! Keep it up.
I stay motivated by my preacher!

Lol. Crazy
Cruise control!!? Auto PTO!!? Hydraulic top link!!? Ha! Must be nice! That stuff don't even exist in my world. C'mon!
Looks a little dry there. Yes I use cruise control with my tiller. It works great!
*Keep on tractoring!*
Right on buddy. Thank you for stopping by
' Don't have Cruise on my iseki! Shame - would be useful.
Nice job 👏 👍 🏆🏆👴
Thanks 👍
Have used Draft control and auto Pto. My tractors are not hydrostatic so i don’t have cruise like you do I put it gear an go.
Right on!

I use my cruise control doing everything
You need some honey bees for the flowers. And you can also make money with those.
We talked about having some bee keepers bring some over, but just haven't gotten around to it yet 👍
No but l give it a try next time. Thanks
Try it! Thanks!
Does she struggle at all w/ the 12' batwing?
not here in FL
Just got a T574 and dealer said they don’t know how to switch dash to mph
Can you tell me?
Move tractor forward a little to make screen show the speedometer. Turn headlights on dim. Hold down info button for around 15 seconds. It should change to mph. Then push info button to show engine temp. Turn lights on bright, hold info button down till it changes to Fahrenheit. Usually around 15 seconds it will change. Thank you so much
That workout great
The service manager at dealership was happy also
Nobody he talked to could tell him
That would take me all day maybe 2 using my Gravely walk behind. I have the 574 too.
Right on
What is the significance of the fishhook-shaped clip on the bill of your cap?
Matthew 4:19
@@hhamilton1970 Excellent.
Never used cruise control for anything. Thought it was just marketing hype... till now.
i have the same machine and did not even know i had cruise control! lol rich
Nice! Try it out next time 👍
i live in the hills of WV cruise control on tractor is dangerous nice where you are real bad here
I can imagine. Be safe!
Have you ever heard on Georgia/Florida bark and mulch
I have not.
@@hhamilton1970 they a just across the line from Georgia
Use it all the time for tilling or bush hogging
I use it often to bush hog as well

Yeah I don't have that problem on my dirt.
So when PTO is in auto when tractor stops PTO stops?
No, when the 3 point is raised a certain height, the PTO stops. Like when you use a tiller and get to the end of the row, raise the tiller and it stops spinning, set it back down after you get set up for the next row and it starts spinning again 👍
Think you for answer. All I have ever used is an old Ford tractor. Non of the things you are showing cruse control?
I use cruise every chance i get
Right on
