AV1 is going to be a game changer. boosting everyone's performance for better video but also people with lower upload speeds being able to stream in a better state!
Won't lie, my internal hopefulness was reading combined chat as multiplatform combined chat for a second X"D I know that would be nonsense for them to take that initiative, but still >.>
Dude! I have seen you in my feed for months and I’ve been slacking on my streaming ventures but here you are when I’ve been itching to get back to learning and recording finally. But great to see your still making videos! Onward buttercup there’s fun to be had ! 🤘🏼
FINALLY av1 support (in the future!) been waiting for that for a while and i've been streaming to youtube with av1 for the past year or so and it's a great experience. 4k streams that look fantastic at 8mb/s let's gooooo!
Super stoked to hear all these updates. Haven’t streamed in years, but have been getting the itch again recently… might have to give twitch a try 🤷🏼♂️
Pretty cool. Thank you for the overview of the new updates. They sound promising. But yea like you said, need to see if the backend changes for violations actually holds true.
Seemed like a big emphasis on how clips will be used at TC. Meanwhile every DJ panel I was at reminded me we cant use VODs or clips. While I'm stoked for the dj program, I do feel like djs are missing out on "Twitch Tok". Ps. Was hella stoked to meet ya at the Elgato booth.
Honestly that's really good updates they are pushing out!! Not gonna lie this time I am actually excited to see what they will be cooked up in the final results of these updates
Dan has been working hard in making the experience better for both the viewer and streamer, unlike who was in charge before him that was just focusing on profit making for the platform.
Combined chat looks like it will be a really good feature, but is there any news on combined viewership while using it like Dan talked about when he first mentioned it? That is basically what is stopping me streaming at the same time as my friend, as a good portion of our viewers are shared, so they would have to watch one or the other basically.
Posting vertical clips from TWITCH to TIKTOK/RUclips is a good thing BUT... The fact that we can't put some Text on the clip directly from Twitch is disappointing for me. If we could do that we would gain so much time and uploading faster at the same time your streaming (mostly for gaming content creators)
that would mean they would need to dedicate more server resources and they allready are struggling with money, it would also mean that we would end up watching the buffer and not the live stream and cause more latency, you can do it allready by going to the past broadcasts section of that streamer and click on the most recent vod.
Can you make a IRL streaming setup video? I am curious how IRL streamers on Twitch have their setups. Like a backpack of some kind with a battery bank and tripod and second phone with microphones etc. plz make a full in dept video on the products and equipment you would need to IRL stream. Two phones is such a pain, but you can’t order Ubers or take calls etc while you are stream streaming without having to pause the live first, so I understand the reasoning behind two cellphones. Just how much more expensive is that just to IRL stream? Thx ❤
I've wanted proper 1440p streaming for a while now, I did some testing the other day and saw I could stream in 1440p but my viewers said it looked like 720p and in 720 it looked like 360p lol so idk what happened. My base canvas was still set to 1440p and I even ticked up to highest quality (4090/14900k) and just looked awful so I went back down to 1440p base/1080 out
My suggestion to twitch would be: to instead of banning PARTNERS for small things, like a slur.. not moderating chat or DMCA reasons, they fine them.. Most partners have contracts of specific sums payed to them etc, they can " fine" them, by removing money they pay out of next months check :) ... u know, like if u curse on a live show in some places. That way twitch makes money off of those things.. to pay for more lawyers that would in return help keep streamers from worrying too much about legal things. :P .. win win...
I just wish there was a feature where you could change the category of already existing clips, like the way you would for VODs. I like everything else so far.
A long time ago they stated that their goal is to make it so you can "cash out" at the end of every stream instead of waiting till the 15th of the upcoming month. Seems like they've completely forgotten about that.
@@Icessassin lol true. it's not a big issue for many people, so it's not something they are gonna look into until they see a majority of their users complaining about the same issue.
Now they could start taking less money from us. Someone in my country pays 5 euros to get a sub (6-ish Dollars) and then i get 1.6 dollar out of it. Which translates to 1.3 euros. Meaning from 5 euros i get only 1.3. THEN I have to pay taxes on those. This is a shame
That costs them extra money in the form of licensing fees whereas AV1 is open-source Plus since you mentioned having a stream PC, Intel Arc A380 would suit that role of dedicated AV1 encoder
The fact twitch con is only in san diego is actually stupid so much of the audience on the eastern side of the states cant afford to just get up and take a trip to cali. They need to have a twitch con closer to the eastern side of the states
While I am right behind you on that plea (I'm in Indiana), it gives me enough reason to save up for next year...... or the other four years after that lol. I definitely want to visit Something on the West Coast before they eventually bring one to us. (Although if they could revive local Twitch meetups that use to happen years ago....)
@@ChipsCST when you have no other choice that’s the only option. I’m not too mad tho, most streamers and audience who go to twitch con are fucking weirdo freaks who have mental illness issues. When the title said combined chat, I thought it meant multi chat..

As someone who almost exclusively watches twitch through the mobile app, this is welcoming.

Super nice that they’re adding more clarity to why said vod is flagged ❤ also Hi!!!
These are very exciting updates! I'm happy that Twitch is bringing out fresh features.
Thanks for the overview🐢
Thanks for all the great info as usual!!!
Awesome reporting! Tvm Harris!👍
I was so hopeful you meant like YT + Twitch combined chat great update overall though, thanks!

Some awesome, awesome updates in the pipeline!

How about the multichat allowed from Tik Tok Or youtube? One combined chat would be amazing :)
I doubt they will do that (right now atleast) especially tiktok, they dont even like their creators to use multiple platforms
Huh, maybe I'll actually give streaming a chance again. Thank you for all the content you provide, amazing as always.
I’m genuinely more and more excited about what’s happening with Twitch year after year, that seem to be trying and thats really what matters
i have a question regarding mics why would the beacn mic be better to get over something like a shure mv7+ which has xlr and usb

Its a shame how the DJs just got slammed with a 30% off the top to the record labels. DJs are just giving up. Its part of the new DJ program.

They turned the mobile app into hot garbage with features nobody wanted
Ah yes how we fix the mobile app? By making it like the most brain rot app that exists. Twitch deserves to go under at this point
