I love mine. I was very hesitant to even try pxg . I played titleist blades and ping drivers for 20 yrs up until the past two years. Im more impressed with the pxg irons than anything. Great feel and forgiveness .
I bought a PXG Black Ops to replace my Ping and I am blown away by the results. I don't know if it is just the driver or I became a better golfer over the last 6-months but I have probably reduced my handicap by 4 strokes. I rarely mishit the driver as it is so forgiving on my miss, high and right, is completely gone. I'm 73 and it increased my distance by 10 to 15 yards but not being in trouble is the best part of this driver. I had to play around with the weights a little before I found the correct setting for me; the PXG fitting rep had the a little different but they were close. I had an older PXG driver but this one is so much better.
Ian at TXG tested the Black Ops Tour and it matched his ball speed, swing speed, spin, carry and total distance of his gamer (TSR3). So very impressive with the Black Ops PXG. Finally they got it right.
I got to hit it last week and really enjoyed it. The hero price is $450 which isn't terrible considering how well it hit. I also got to try a few different shafts and the Evenflow was the best. I was surprised.
I take all marketing talk about driver faces with a huge grain of salt since the spring effect of the face is regulated by the USGA. That said, Bob Parsons seems dedicated to designing innovative technology into clubs to make them perform, so all the new (or older) PXG clubs are always worth hitting.

I'm not sure what impressed me more, the Black Ops head or the new Ventus shafts. Even as a Mid handicap I struck the 0311p's much better that the 0311xp's.
Sky kills me... he always looks like he is ready to fight you. I have scheduled a 100 driver challenge well see how that goes. all i know is i am really pleased so far with my Gen5p irons.

That was brilliant bringing in your buddy to hit the Black Ops Tour1.... That should put a fork in it for mid range speed golfer wannabees :) Stay within the gifts the good lord gave you and save some money :)
PXG drivers are trash. The only PGA tour player who plays their driver is Zach Johnson. If the majority of their tour players won't play it clearly trash

I tested the Blackops driver and paired it with Tensei White shaft and got higher launch, and lower spin over my current gamer.

If this one can actually stand up distance wise, I'd be intrigued. To me they always had the feel and look of budget drivers.
