It looks nice but I cannot imagine why they did not design a bathroom door. I cannot wait to see the biggest one. You need to go to the Snoozy Fiberglass Camper manufacturer for a tour.
We toured this camper this weekend, and the curtain on the bathroom actually makes the bathroom and the whole camper feel much more spacious. Everything is fiberglass. You don't need to worry about a little water.
FYI, you have the tank size incorrectly stated. That’s the size for the 16’ layout with the steel frame. The 17s also had an optional double tank size available which doubled both the fresh and gray tank size but kept the same 16gal black tank. The new 18s have a much different tank size as the tanks are integrated into the mold and are closer to the double tank size, however I forget what that number is off the top of my head. They do list them in their website though. Just wouldn’t want tank size to affect anyone’s desire to purchase these trailers. We own a 17’ with double tanks and love it!
We went with the info for the current models from the Cortes website. Previous and future trailers may differ. Thanks for watching and happy camping in your Cortes!
The fridge (even when it becomes 3 cubic feet) is really small. I may be mistaken, but I'm pretty sure there are some small campers with 5 cubic foot fridges.
You can order the model with the residential size fridge but you lose the north/south bed. Depends on what's more important to you. Thanks for watching!
We are owners of a 2023 17 and absolutely love it... We like the steel frame because we feel there are more options for future upgrades to the frame, such as, if someone wanted to put a Texas Customs type frame like some Casita owners do who want to get way off the beaten path. Anyway, we love ours and highly recommend these if you are in such a market... If you want the 16 or 17 with the steel frame, I would not wait...
@@DayHikerFromTheSixjust found your channel and love it! Going to spam the videos, but any suggestion? Looking for a trailer with a bathroom inside but an outdoor kitchen. Sleeping 2 adults ,1 kid. And as short as possible. 13/15 feet.
It is an interesting design choice to be sure, especially given how spacious the bathroom is! Not a dealbreaker for me, but our current trailer is in the same boat! Thanks for watching!
Some fender skirts would be nice , not a fan of the open wheel well , sure its clean but seeing the big gap it looks unfinished, fender flares would make this more eye appealing in my opinion , it might not need it but the loaf of bread look isnt attractive enough for me to fall in love with it ..just my opinion
I agree with you in terms of styling, but I'd imagine doing this way is more aerodynamic and also lighter, which is definitely a big part of what they're trying to do at Cortes. Thanks for watching!
cutting a hole in the frame like that for the sewer just creates a huge weakpoint in the frame... same reason you dont cut holes in joists to run sewer, its too big and destorys the strength of the beam
I couldn't buy this unit for three reasons! 1. the unit I would buy with the king bed has to small of a fridge. 2 the bathroom has no door and your kitchen is right beside it! I don't want my wife to hear me pooping behind a shower curtain lol and 3. the price in Canada would be 70k! no thank you...
You make good points! They are upsizing the fridge in the future as Patricia mentioned. I believe you could install a divider/sliding door for the bathroom if you want. Thanks for watching!
Note that as of July 9, the introductory pricing of the Cortes 18 has ended, and the new starting MSRP (not including options & shipping) is $46,830.
Ouch!
that is completely insane!!!
For that price, you can get a Casita or Escape. This is a terrible rv design.
The price is astronomical! You can get a decent use class C for that price! My god!
Thanks for watching!
How much are we talking about?
@@richardjeun $46,830 base

We're excited to see the new models too. Thank you for the tip and Thanks for watching!

Cute little camper!
😀 Thanks for watching!
we will be picking up our Cortes 18 in a couple weeks at the factory🙂
Congratulations!! 😀 You must be excited! Happy Camping and Thanks for watching!
how much??

Beautiful camper.
Thanks for watching!
I really loved the brand and what they are coming up with, waiting for the bigger version that could sleep 4-5 people.
We can't wait to see the new ones too. Thanks for watching!

@@DayHikerFromTheSix you bet, thanks for the video. These campers need more coverage, they’re worth the money they cost. Keep up the good videos!

Thank you for the video, very informative. What is the tongue weight on each or these models?
They don’t list it on their website, and it will vary based on equipment. I’d call Cortes to find out for sure. Thanks for watching!
Nice trailers, but no bathroom door is a dealbreaker.
Your not the first one to point that out!! Maybe something Cortez should consider for the new upcoming models. Thanks for watching!
No exhaust fan in the restroom?
No exhaust fan in the washroom area. There is a fan in the kitchen area. Thanks for watching!
Why 40,000 and you cannot enclose the bathroom?

I would still go with little snoozy. Which by the way, claim the exact same thing as far as boat design goes

Yes wish more beds for more than two people
Thanks for watching!
Would it float like a boat made out of the same stuff boats are 😊
It might but I wouldn’t try it 😎
Rove Lite. Lighter and the bathroom has a door.
Cortez has enough space to consider a washroom door. Most people would appreciate if. Thanks for watching!
I would have to have some sort of door on the bathroom.
We agree, Cortez should consider changing their washroom design to fit a door. Thanks for watching!

i think cassette toilet would be a great option. black tanks stink!!!
😀👍Thanks for watching!

Please make a 2000lb or less for those of us who have a hybrid SUV and want a hard shell not pop up. 🥰
For this size of trailer, Cortez starts at an incredible low weight at 1885 lbs dry w/no options. Thanks for watching!
It also needs a closer to hang clothes in
Smaller RV's ask for creative and minimalist ways of camping. Thanks for watching!
Nice . But door looks like if belongs on something else
Thanks for watching!
use low profile ac
Cortez could consider that as an option. Thanks for watching!
