Mgla will linger on a riff for a while, and Darkside's drumming adds peaks and crescendos to it. The last couple minutes of Exercises V is a good example of this. And while most extreme metal drummers are trying to set world records for fastest blastbeats, he stands out with his awesome cymbal work. His kit isn't that big, but he sure as hell knows his way around it. Mgla are a band that don't overplay and put songwriting as priority. They deserve all the hype they've been getting lately!

Reminds me somewhat of Belakor riff-wise. Great soundscape and atmospheric riffs that just keep going. Nice drumwork indeed, nothing flashy, but steady as a rock and entrancing as hell. Good Stuff
