I'm gonna throw this out there. This music is so huge, epic, with such space and emotion and personal focus, I want to write a "musical" with this type of music. Not a typical happy musical, not a campy funny "scary" musical but one that deals with real themes of darkness, hopelessness, betrayal, war. I listened to a lot of music on deployment from a portable cd player. Lamb of God was the music of my time spent in Fallujah, and this music speaks lyrically and musically in a way no other form can touch. If someone can put one together, send me venue info. I'm there.
Perhaps a bit too late but a few Polish bands wear face-coverings to remain anonymous while performing songs regarding certain topics. Black metal is inherently a controversial genre and seeks to talk about the unspeakable. MGLA's nihilistic (truly anti-nihilistic) and misanthropic messages are in throws with the Polish Catholic government which has attempted to persecute bands such as Behemoth and the Polish MSM has attempted to shut down venues of bands such as Marduk (falsely believed to be Nationalist Socialist because of creating songs regarding the German side of the Second World War). Enjoyed the video mate, cheers!

😂 brutal assault is the festival, the band is Mgla and the song is Exercises in Futility V as in five, from the album Exercises in Futility. But you gotta admit that metronomic snare beat with left and right hands is top class.

Definitely one of my favorites and I watch it quite often such a very solid tempo while Cymbol work is quite tasteful and precise. Just enough without overplaying. Looks like he's using fairly long sticks? Have to agree with your comments. Nice observations. 👍

Should have reviewed him playing Age of Excuse I ...😉🖤 Can not shake the loyalty of fans to Darkside and MGLA
More on the way!
I'm there.
brutall assault is a festival name, song is called "Exercises in Futility pt. V"
No doubt brotha. What an R-Tard
Yup got it now Jacek.
All new for me :)
WOW! Amazing info!
best song from mgla - allways reminds me to a man in the winter, walking, comes into a snowstorm, get into wilderness, figthing through snow and then get pirced by ice cracks and freezes to death
WOW!
😂 brutal assault is the festival, the band is Mgla and the song is Exercises in Futility V as in five, from the album Exercises in Futility. But you gotta admit that metronomic snare beat with left and right hands is top class.
100% David! Freaking amazing
The rest of their music is just as amazing!
the band is from Poland and the band name is pronounced like mgwah.
Wow. Thank you!!!
Means fog in Polish
that cymbal fill in reminds me the late jimmy sullivan "the rev" in almost easy
You should check - Kriegsmachine where Mgła drummer also plays; take for instance "Residual blight" from Apocalipticists LP; same guy but plays differend there; Your jaw wil smash concrete floor !!! And then big,big smile will appear !!!
Great!
3:40 no, Brutal Assault is a metal music festival taking place every August in the Czech Republic.
That is just such an all around good song. The band killed it live as well aperantly. Thanks for the video coach.
You bet Shawn!
Notice how he hits EVERY backstroke.
VERY consistent!
wait, brutal assault is a name of a festival ;)
Yes found out after the vid!
Definitely one of my favorites and I watch it quite often such a very solid tempo while Cymbol work is quite tasteful and precise.
Just enough without overplaying.
Looks like he's using fairly long sticks? Have to agree with your comments. Nice observations. 👍
Thanks for watching!
Someone it would be cool to see you check out, is Hellhammer from Mayhem, with the drumcam video of the song My Death.
Thank you!
I just realized im not even subbed to you, had to get that fixed right away. Sorry it took a while haha. Nice reaction man and im glad you liked the drumming, I just found this band a little while ago (thanks to my little brother) and fell in love with their music.
Thanks for the sub!
I look forward to checking out more Waldo!
Now you have to check out John Longstreth from Origin...
Thank you!
Goosebumps every time
React to "ABORTED@Necrotic Manifesto-Ken Bedene-live in Brutal Assault 2016 (Drum Cam)"
One of the best extreme metal drummers
Cheers!
Thank you!!!
Every video I see of Darkside, every time, the cymbal work amazes me to no end.

On the way Jesus!
