    I suffered from depression and I can tell you that there is never one problem. There is always a mix of multiple different issues from different sources that snowball into the sadness and depression. Yes, turning to youtube was not the best choice, but it is 100x better than drugs.

      Bharat Shamsukha youtube can be very negative too, I have suffered from depression for many years and I used video games to escape the world. yes a different medium but hear me out. this honestly made me into a full on hermit for many many years to the point where I could not hold a common conversation. I lost people in my life because I didn't go outside and aways from being online. so yes it's better than drugs but it is a drug as well a dopamine high from instant gratification that keeps you in this limbo of feeling okay for a short while. it's a sad life and many people live it just look at the otaku culture of Japan what these people are looking for is real connections, friends that they can't seem to make in the real world so they use videos can make you feel like you are in the same situation as these youtubers. makes you feel like they really care about you as a person or If they speak to you directly but they are not they are talking to a crowd of people and especially when you are younger that's a hard thing to fully understand.

      In the scientific world depression is the result of corrupt societies and broken families. In the spirtual world it is the start of an ethical and moral revolution (the rapid increase in cases). The most interesting part is both scientists and high priests can not come close to explaining the phenomenon as it beyond their understanding. The spirtual part will always trump the science, yet both are correct and play seperate roles. To all my fellow beings, men and women alike, who feel their minds are in the wind, feel free to reach out with any questions or thoughts. There is no better service than to be able to protect and guide you to the highest path in life.

    I don't think that being online constantly is an addiction but more of an escape. RUclipsrs have a high amount of creator consumer interaction. In Olivias case it seemed she had no friends and wanted to surround herself in a community where she could feel some sort of compassion from other people.

      Googly eyes I'm 24 now, but when I was your age I dealt with similar issues, and sometimes still do. Lauren mentioned that it's just your age, that definelty heightens the feelings but if you are feeling suicidal or like you want to hurt yourself you should definitely seek help, a friend, a family member, or a therapist if you can. For me seeing a therapist helped with the root issues and setting goals to get me offline or off certain sites that were my biggest problem areas helped. even if it's just saying I won't go on youtube (or whatever site) for a day, a week, a month. See how you feel after, even if you fail in your goals you are still preparing mentally for your success. Just know you are not alone!

      For 99% of people, I'm sure it's not an addiction, but addiction to me is when your brain becomes rewired to depend on that fix in the same way it would for drugs like heroin - a lot of modern research shows that the brains of addicts (from gambling to drugs) have something in common that non-addicts don't. The physical structure of their brains has actually changed. With that in mind, I think certain people are prone to becoming addicted to something/anything because they are filling a void in their life. Not enough information to tell if that was the case with this girl, but I don't think Phil should just dismiss the idea of something silly being an addiction, because it most definitely can be.

  • @zanza543

    I want to thank you phil. You are so insightful about the first story. As of recently my mom and dad has been a very big believer in technology addiction, causing me to refrain from seeing my father out of fear.(since both him and mom are divorced) However now mom is being this way. and she is blaming everything on the internet. When really I have depression, anxiety, stress, a lot of school work, mom being controling and emotionally abusive, and no adult that I can truly trust in the close vicinity. Thats why I go to youtube. I talk to my friends online, and laugh, and have a good time. It's my escape. If mom talks about this story in order to ruin my experiences on youtube and the internet I will show her this video. Your views and thoughts about this story is the exact same as mine and you explained it a lot better than I ever could. Thank you phil.

    I think people encourage certain addictions and shun others arbitrarily. When I was 8 to 12 years old, my nose was always buried inside a book, and I did this to escape the physical, emotional and sexual abuse I was suffering at home. Yet everyone would be marveled at how "smart" I was because I read so much and no one saw anything fishy even though the signs were all over the place. Then my situation got better and I didn't feel the need to do it so much, I started to use the Internet more and I started to draw and write, share my work online and during most of my time (even today) I mostly use the Internet for educational purposes. But even though things were infinitely better and I wasn't just consuming media but producing content and interacting with people, everyone thought I was wasting my time and potential.
    I don't blame this girl's parents, they don't understand what's wrong and it's always less painful to place the blame in the satanic temptation than look at their own attitudes. But this doesn't look like an addiction at all, it looks like a *coping mechanism* the difference is that addictions feel really good and then really bad, coping mechanisms are like when you accidentally kick the furniture and then tightly grip your foot to make the pain stop. I sincerely doubt she feels happy when she is watching youtube, she is just numbing the pain and getting distracted for a while. The bad news is both addictions and coping mechanisms are replaceable, if she never grabs a phone for the rest of her life, there are a billion other options: food, exercise, shopping, fasting, self harm, sex, parties etc.
    People tell you to seek help but help is often short sighted “Try to be a functional little nut so that you stop being such a hazard for everyone else. What? you still have fantasies about killing yourself? every day? Well,try to stay positive because it totally, surely gets better :) No I didn't say I was going to DO something but IT definitely GETS better!”

      marshma llowsxoxo very good point about coping mechanisms. The one thing I will change about what you said is that if you spend too much time with any one thing, whether it be a coping mechanism or an addiction is that it does make you feel bad. Sometimes both during and after. It's just that it might be for different reasons. Like drugs obviously for the side effects and withdrawals. While indulging in something like RUclips might be a little more subtle. If you're doing it to the point of neglecting other important things then you feel bad for neglecting them, which can be severe if it goes on long enough.
      I'm glad to hear your life has improved and that you've found healthy ways of moving past your situations 🙂

      I couldn't have said it better myself. In high school, I was unhappy and stressed and overworked. I had no close friends and didn't fit in. On weekends, I would get 8-10 library books and read from Friday after school until Sunday morning, maybe getting 2-4 hours of sleep a night. It was my escape and my coping mechanism. I wasn't addicted. I don't think this girl ism, either. Just depressed and dealing with difficult things. This is her way of escaping and coping. It's the depression and difficult things she needs help with, not the videos.

  • @ebecaray

    I think the parents of "Olivia" saw a problem with their daughter, but instead of seeing a deeper problem, they decided to opt for the "social media is ruining our youth!" explanation. The girl said it herself that she was dealing with depression and anxiety; it could be that pressure to do well in school, not being "popular," and the awkward horribleness of being 13 years old got to her. I'm not trying to say the parents are bad people -- I just think they handled the situation in kind of a shitty way.

      As a 14 year old girl who has experienced and is still trying to deal with depression and social anxiety, I completely agree with your statement. I tried to tell my parents I was depressed and had social anxiety but they simply returned 'You don't sleep enough because you're on the internet too much.' Adults need to realise that just because our childhood is different to theirs, doesn't mean it's out to hurt us. Rather than pushing the 'social media is ruining our youth!' agenda, (because apparently the entire internet wants to hurt you) they should be focusing more on how we can teach kids to avoid being hurt on the internet.
      This story really hit home for me, as I've been using the internet for an escape since I was ~10 and am still trying to break free of this viscous cycle (as cheesy as it sounds). But it isn't the internet's fault that I have mental disorder's and a shit school life.
      Anyway I've been rambling far too long haha.

I have problems with interacting with others, scare to go to school because the way I look & how people would think of me because beliefs and/or attitude. RUclips + video games help me escape the harsh/ cruel world I'm not yet ready for. Watching RUclipsrs who I love & helps me more than they realise. I find it very interesting when people say something racist, or say something wrong on the internet, that it is not until the backlash that they backpedal and apologize. This leads me to believe these are inherently deep seeded racist beliefs, and not some momentary verbal mistake. We thankfully live in a world with the internet so these people can't quietly spew hate anymore without causing a mirror being held to their face. This hopefully leads to change.

    To be honest with you if your a bad enough of a parent that you can't discipline your child from merely watching RUclips and are perfectly OK with paying $60,000 you need to look at yourself. Rejecting your child not sitting down and talking with them its going to increase their feelings of loneliness and depression.

    • @paigejane173
      @paigejane173 7 лет назад +1

      They won't pay anywhere near $60,000 for treatment. That amount will be reduced to the in-network reimbursement rate and then insurance will pick up the rest. If anything the family will likely be out a $500-1000 copay.

    • @camilasuemi6850
      @camilasuemi6850 7 лет назад +9

      Joshua I. this is not what he meant. He's saying that the family couldn't take care of Olivia and now their are going to pay her treatment. But she's like that because probably she feel lonely and need her family. Paying a treatment probably will not work that much if her family still let her alone as always

    • @LittleRodent88
      @LittleRodent88 7 лет назад +2

      The amount isn't the point, the point is that parents that throw money at their children instead of being there for them and nipping problems before they become this severe are not in any way benefiting their kids. Love and communication are a million times more valuable than anything money can buy.

    • @bigchooken689
      @bigchooken689 7 лет назад

      3niggasflying I feel as though any parent wouldn't be showing signs of rejecting their child if they are in fact seeking treatment or help for them. That in itself is very obvious. Moreover, the parents sound as though they sought treatment after the suicide attempts, which you would do no matter what. It was probably then discussed during the psychological evaluation that she constantly watches RUclips. It's not to do with her parents not 'dealing with her' early enough if the problems have already arisen. It's a very different situation once you experience it and a lot of the time punishments don't work. Don't be so quick to judge the parents for what could easily be a pre-existing disorder triggered by unchangeable factors.

    • @karlymuffinx
      @karlymuffinx 7 лет назад

      How on earth do any of you know the dynamic of the family by one video? Addiction is not the parents fault. It's not a fault of being there for her and it's not just throwing money at the issue. Things like this require treatment, and that is what she is getting.

    Well as a recovering heroin addict myself (One year next month) actually. Here's how I see "digital addiction" because t.b.h I've also experienced it and I think it has a very scientific bases from my own understanding when we are talking about a young adolescents. The pleasure centers of the brain are not fully developed yet and neither is the prefrontal cortex (the part of your mind that handles decision making.) So what I'm getting at is when the pleasure centers of the brain are triggered it creates obvious synapses in the mind, saying "this feels good" after a while it becomes "this is the only thing that makes me feel good." Everything else is pushed to the back, and control is inevitably lost. Through my own experiences growing up, I was without a doubt addicted at one point to online gaming, where all I thought about was getting on, playing more and continuing w.e the goal was in the game, because for me it was the only thing at that point that "made me feel good" so much so, I was irritable, moody, and actually had a breakdown when I was finally torn away from it by my father. (3 days in a psyche ward) let me reiterate, I have been an avid I.v heroin user for 5 years and not once did I have a breakdown comparable to what happened when I was younger. So for me, its a very real thing to see there being digital addiction when it comes to the very malleable young mind incapable of seeing and discerning good and healthy decision making, but I would also go on to say this is probably a very small actual percentage with an addiction verses a habit and it will cause fear mongering to call it as such, so it should be taken with a grain of salt. The point is, to me something like this shouldn't simply be passed of as poor decisions on the adolescents part, and someone trying to take advantage of the situation, for some people it might as well be a very real addiction with a very real need for that level of care. Just my opinion though.

      Mykal Explosion Well, but in that sense every adiction is biological, because every mental condition is biological.
      The fact is that heroin it's a substance that is addictive in itself, the kind of adiction/compulsion you are talking about can be developed towards any pleasurable thing. This is a fact that fearmongers conveniently overlook.

    • @matthewbooker6376
      @matthewbooker6376 7 лет назад +3

      addiction and compulsion are scientifically not the same and require vastly different medical treatments, technology habits don't change the biological make-up of the brain and are thus compulsions. I appreciate your story but it's anecdotal, studies show the difference to be true. It has to be defined separately.

    • @eldanardo5477
      @eldanardo5477 7 лет назад +2

      There's a difference between a habit and addiction, and I'm not trying to downplay how serious and ingrained habits can be - that difference isn't however how seriously the afflicted is affected by a change. What it seems like you're saying is that you write a bunch of "go to" lines of code in your brain when you form habits, and very serious habits have a tremendous amount of these lines written, and when you can't "go to COD," or "go to facebook," you can fuck yourself up mentally, but that doesn't mean you were, technically speaking, addicted. A real addiction is not training pleasure centres of your brain, it is creating chemical dependencies; just look at what happens if you take alcohol away from a serious alcoholic - they die.

    • @mykalexplosion2527
      @mykalexplosion2527 7 лет назад +2

      I think that was my point? haha anything can be an addiction including "digital media" it makes me think of more along the lines of food comparatively though, and food addiction is also an extremely and prevalent problem in this country as well. It's really just what people are willing to accept, and typically helps if they have actual experience with it themselves or with someone they have cared about. I think it needs to be stated though, that in a very real sense addiction sciences are not exactly factual, it's more or less perception based. Based on studies or experiences described by an individual. We still have a long way to go before fully comprehending and understanding the full nature of the word "addiction."

    • @mykalexplosion2527
      @mykalexplosion2527 7 лет назад +2

      That's not necessarily true by definition. "the fact or condition of being addicted to a particular substance, thing, or activity." It doesn't have to be a substance, I'm just stating my own personal feelings and experiences with both sides of chemical and let's call it "media perception" both have and can cause similar experiences. My example wasn't completely what I experienced simply because I could make a list of the ways not only video game, and substance abuse have caused severe financial, social, and emotional issues by my own experiences alone. I have also seen it in others, I stated in an early reply we also need to take in consideration that a lot of what we know isn't necessarily set in fact, and many doctors and addiction specialists have differing opinions on the nature of the word "addiction". So from my personal view I can only state how I see and understand it in my own mind that has helped me cope, understand and move forward out of the pits I so thoughtlessly dug myself into. Either way the analogy was true for me, I was in a hole and the only way out was for someone else to give me there hand and help me back out. I think overall the point I'm trying to make is, sometimes its beyond a simple reprimand or punishment or stern talking too and getting into a realm of very real professional help into overcoming these compulsive and destructive behaviors.

    It's very clear that Olivia is/was living in a toxic environment. Although it's probably a mixture of indulging on RUclips, social anxiety, and her surroundings, the professionals in the mental health industry that spoke on this, definitely seem to be spreading fear. It's like blaming videos games for violent behavior. It also seems that Olivia's parents are quick to blame her friends and RUclips without reflecting on their own behavior and r environment they're creating for their child.

    Hey Phil I just got finished listening to your internet addiction story and I have the urge to write on this topic. I was put into a internet rehab center myself know as Restart. Shout out to restart by the way, you guys are awesome. I learned there that I was actually NOT classified as a digital addict however I stayed in the program it self to learn more about what addiction really is and to deal with other psychological problems that I was dealing with at the time.
    Something I learned while there is that a person can be addicted to ANYTHING. However our society rewards certain addictions as good, like a productive workaholic. Regardless of what the person becomes addicted to the reason is usually the same. The person will use their addiction as a way to avoid feeling emotional trauma. It's a coping tool gone wrong, basically, my therapists would call it "numbing" as you'd sink into whatever medium your brain liked best and tune out the pain.
    Either way, what I wanted to truly say is that the answer so much isn't that internet addiction is real, it's that addiction is a real issue and comes in all forms. Just some are far more lethal then others.

    It might just be me, Phil, but when you were talking about how "Olivia" 'was looking for an escape and then became reliant upon RUclips,' that sounds exactly like addiction to me. Throwing drugs around as a comparison will automatically make people go 'well c'mon, it's not like that,' but being addicted to supposedly "productive" or "healthy" things is still an addiction. If it's getting in the way of your everyday life and preventing you from functioning properly, that's an addiction no matter how you dress it up. I agree though, this case is a compound issue with more than just internet addiction at play, and I hope this girl gets the help she needs to make a real recovery.

    • @ShiningDialga
      @ShiningDialga 7 лет назад +14

      I agree, but i'm not sure I'd call this an "addiction" in the hard biological sense. Behavioral addiction is obviously a thing, like with gambling, but by-the-books addiction is a bit more narrow. I feel that if she was truly addicted, she would be trying to watch during school, or even avoiding it all together to watch videos.
      I feel like what she is displaying is more of a dependence on the videos to cope with her problems, exacerbated by what appears to be some underlying disorder like depression. Her parents seem to be blaming the videos for her problems instead of it being a symptom, either out of ignorance or not wanting to deal with their child's problems.
      What this girl really needs is to get a proper diagnosis from a psychiatrist to get herself proper treatment and to talk to a therapist to help her sort out and handle her problems in a healthier, more productive manner. Maybe even family counciling, if the fighting is really exacerbating things. I honestly hope she gets the help she needs, because I feel like this addiction treatment is not it.

      Dima Vasilev yeah, this is true... things like addiction to working out... anything can go from healthy to destructive if it becomes all consuming. And human brains are hard wired for addiction, and this is especially true for people with enlarged or overactive limbic systems. It makes evolutionary sense, if we weren't driven to behaviors that were rewarding, the species wouldn't survive, nor would the individual

      +ShiningDialga I'm a little ignorant on this matter - is there a difference in types of addictions then? What makes behavioural addiction different from "by-the-books" addiction? And is dependence like she displayed a rung down the ladder from proper addiction?

    That story about the little girl hit home. The past year and a half, I've gone through a bunch of stuff I hoped would never happen. My grandmother that I'd been helping around the house and living with for a year passed away. A few months later, my parents started the process of getting a divorce. Follow that up with my girlfriend of five years breaking up with me and you've got a guy in a lot of pain and no easy outlet. I couldn't go anywhere in my city without being met with one memory or another, I couldn't tell people about it because they had stuff going on in their lives, so I turned to my online family. When I wasn't working, I watched RUclips almost nonstop. The familiar faces, comforting sounds, it all helped me transition into my life now. It helped me come to grips with the changes in a way that didn't permanently damage my mind, body, or future. RUclips and my favorite RUclipsrs kept me from doing something I would have regretted and helped get me back in my head again. Maybe there was a healthier way, a quicker way, but this way worked for me. Maybe, for her, she was addicted. Or maybe she just found an outlet like I did and just couldn't find it in herself to transition into a happier life. Either way, hope her life gets better from here.

My parents and friends can attest to the fact I was extremely irritable, but this was not due to my "addiction to music". I myself had quite a few moments where I almost killed myself, but again not because of music. I used music as an escape much like this girl used RUclips. It's clear that she needs therapy and most likely medication. I was put in therapy and put on medication and am now in a much better place

    • @serenityrenity5304
      @serenityrenity5304 7 лет назад +15

      Yes I agree. She herself said that her situation is following from her depression and anxiety. She used her technology as an escape from that. She also opened up about suicide attempts. Her mental instability caused her to use her phone "excessively", not the other way around. I think this rehab facility is an example of the previous generation sitting up on their high horses saying "you millennial a and your technology" and shaking their fists at us. The reality is, technology is here to stay. And blaming this young girl for sitting on her phone all day, instead of looking at the reasons why, is wrong. She herself told her parents that she thought twice about killing herself, and instead of getting her the treatment therapy medication and whatever else to deal with mental illness, they turn to their generational belief that technology ruins everything and they try to get her to not be "addicted" to something that she never was addicted to in the first place

    • @jordanpanda4490
      @jordanpanda4490 7 лет назад +5

      I actually think the term addiction is broader than a lot of people (including Phil) give it credit for. There is chemical addiction like you find in drugs, ie you need them or you die. But there is also psychological addiction, if you don't get the fix you will shut down/blow up/snap etc. You can see examples of this in gambling all the time. But things like binge eating, compulsive lying, nymphomania, or even some rapists and serial killers can exhibit this. They feed the "need" even at the point of harming themselves. That is addiction.
      I don't think that this girl "Olivia" has an addiction as severe as what I'm saying. I think she is just trying to cope with depression and other disorders, and they are treating a symptom not the actual problem. But when someone dismisses anything called addiction that isn't just from chemical addiction you are discounting a large problem that does need to be addressed.

    • @vampuricknight1
      @vampuricknight1 7 лет назад +6

      I wouldn't even go so far as mental illness... People forget and or are unaware... but from the ages 12 - 22+ all humans go through a state of mental and physical development. During which the chemical cocktail that makes up the natural chemistry of ones mind is in a state of near CONSTANT flux.
      I don't know of a single person as a teenager who didn't have a suicidal thought or became less argumentative with their parents... Even kids who had everything they could ever want and great parents admitted that they had thought of suicide because they got something negative stuck in their head for hours that on reflection didn't make any sense at all.
      Every thing this little girl is going through appears fairly natural to me... I would recommend that she simply spend more time doing family activities with her parents doing things they both like to do, and or to see a psychiatrist and talk about what she's going through if she can't with her parents.

      Matt Green 99% of addiction facilities will target the root of the addiction for recovery. therefore they will have a psychologist, psychiatrist, social worker, etc on staff to address her mental health needs. however, being in a mental health facility (Ie the mental health ward of a hospital) is regarded as a place to keep a patient safe. as DeFranco said, she visited for "suicide watch". if you're in the hospital, it's to keep you alive.. the real work begins at a niche facility

      This is the thing with addiction treatment. Far too often I see people trying to cure the addiction _without_ trying to get to the root of the problem that triggered the addiction itself. Let's just talk about drugs for example. Sending people to drug rehabilitation where they are held back from their addiction may seem helpful because it stops them from abusing the drug, but once they got out and confronted with the underlying issues--as you say--they'll begin to use again. Taking away the drugs or the Internet or the junk food will only help temporarily. They're not the main problem, they're the effect of a problem that causes the addiction. Humans have always been creative in finding alternative ways to do something, all we'll do is just find something else to abuse to runaway from the problem.

    I was in the same position as Olivia for a while, and still am. I suffered from Bipolar Depression and Anxiety, my dog and best friend's mother had just died, and I was being bullied at school. I watched videos for hours and barely came downstairs. Sometimes I didn't even eat at all that day. When I was alone without RUclips I would cry constantly, and I was distraught at everything that was happening in life. I can now escape from life without the internet. I posted videos on a private channel and then I launched an actual channel once I had permission from my parents, because I always wanted to give back to the community that made me happy and possibly saved my life. Now RUclips is almost my life, and recently I've hit the Bipolar Depression part again, as you might know, Bipolar is basically an up and down cycle of Depressions and Highs. My dog died, and I blamed myself, but I talked about it to the camera, but never posted the video. It made me feel better, and I'm getting a new dog, Oliver, on Wednesday the 7th. RUclips made me feel fulfilled and I'm so happy right now, thanks to everyone on RUclips, big or small. Always know that just because you post, you might make someone very happy or save someone's life. Thank you

    I don't think Tiger Woods necessarily did anything wrong, not without any more information. All we know at the moment is that two prescription drugs reacted with each other in a bad way. We don't know when the drugs started or anything like that. Accidents happen sometimes. Just because he took the wrong drug at the wrong time or something doesn't mean it's as bad as drunk driving. Drunk driving is on purpose while driving while on medication and having it affect you is most likely an accident. In my eyes, that's like saying brutal murder and accidentally killing someone with a car are two equals because you "chose to put the person on the road at risk by driving," when the situation may have truly been out of your control.

    • @Erik-R
      @Erik-R 7 лет назад +58

      It's also important to note I think that Tiger could have been told the drugs would not react by his doctor, when in fact they would. Then the mistake falls on the doctor and not Tiger.

      +JenxRodwell That makes sense and I agree with that. At the moment, though, we unfortunately don't know that information. +Pluto Impaired, but not completely out of your control. The impairment should be planned for in my opinion. Have a designated driver or something along those lines. Drinking doesn't happen by accident, though. You know you're going to get drunk and then you know you could make dumb decisions. Those need to be prepared for. If Tiger didn't know in this scenario, then I don't think he's done anything majorly wrong necessarily.

    I'm disappointed you didn't mention the 442nd, the most decorated unit (for its size and length) in American history. This WWII unit was composed almost entirely of Japanese-Americans who signed up for the front lines even though the USA locked up their families in prison camps for being Japanese-American. The 442nd, composed of only 4000 men at a time, earned 9486 Purple Hearts and 21 Medals of Honor doing things like charging into enemy machine gun fire. The unit often succeeded at what were supposed to be suicide missions. Disrespecting a man for being Japanese on Memorial Day is a disrespect to the Japanese-American heroes of WWII.

    Woods is a golfer, not a pharmacist. Prescription medications can fuck you up, especially when they interact with each other in a negative way. It can be incredibly difficult to tell how drugs will interact with each other, especially because they affect different people in different ways. It can be a nightmare to try to keep track of it all. Woods made an honest mistake. It doesn't ENTIRELY absolve him of responsibility, but unless it was explicitly explained to him by a pharmacist how these drugs might interact with each other and how to identify certain adverse side effects so that they know to cease taking the medications and speak to their doctor, this isn't ANYTHING like someone knowingly choosing to get behind the wheel while drunk or otherwise under the influence.

    • @meepster554
      @meepster554 7 лет назад +1

      The doctor has to tell Woods of the side effects of any medication he is taking, so woods most likely knew about what those drugs could do. Just saying.

      Meep Ster While this may be the case, docs don't always look at someone's chart to see what all that patient is taking. After several years in the medical industry, its frightening to see how common this is, actually. Often, doctors will just have their nurses do their medical reconciliations or just override the alert in the EMR system if a negative interaction comes up.

      Meep Ster doctors arent pharmacists and their pharmacology classes are extremely limited in comparison. if you're on multiple meds its up to you to take the initiative to talk to your pharmacist about it. ive been through bad reactions with mixing meds and went through it all first hand talking to my doctor and pharmacist after words. also the province i live in had a medicinal help line that explain up to 3 drug interacting together.

    • @tokingaymer9409
      @tokingaymer9409 7 лет назад

      Not always true, unfortunately - I have had plenty of doctors not tell me about what side effects my medications might have. The pharmacist hasn't even done that for me once. They hand you like 5 pages with your prescription that includes all possible side effects and symptoms of an allergic reaction, but that doesn't always include things like "Don't take these with this other kind of pill within this many hours" ect. The only times I have ever had things like that actually outlined out for me were very specific, because the "possible side effect" was death in those cases. Otherwise, the most I've gotten are offhand comments like "These might make you drowsy." I had a doctor not even inform me that a possible side effect of stopping a drug I was taking was having a heart attack.
      Granted, I still believe he should've known. Those are serious drugs that are at the same tier as medications I take, so it takes a lot of on your own research to realize some of the dangers involved. But, as Phil said, he's an athlete that should be 100% always aware of what's going into his body - he should've done the research. But to just assume he was told that this could happen is unfair.

    You can do anything too much but that girl is not the case, she was emotionally struggling and was trying to find a escape. The internet did make her grades go down her family life did, there are tons of studies showing unstable homes having that affect on a child.
    I been on the internet for over 10 years and I am becoming anesthesiologist, I know for a fact the internet didn't ruin her grades or her life just off of my experience alone of being a straight A student myself.
    I do not need to be a doctor to tell her it is her family that caused her behavioral problems by not addressing deeper issues themselves and getting family counseling.
    This to me seems like another case of attacking the stress outlet because they don't understand it and easier to blame, instead of addressing the real issues at hand or any fault with what they might be doing.
    It is easier to blame than it is to take responsibility for you're own actions and the results of those actions.

      Daniel Kintigh I think it's important to clear up that the internet isn't addictive, it's compulsive. There's nothing about internet or videogames or whatever that makes you physically need them.
      Phil wasn't that far off, it's more an indulgence problem than anything.

    • @rezabaghbannezhad4324

      completely agree with you, daniel. i love phil, but GOD, he tries really hard to defend something when it's related to youtube. he said himself that this girl was looking for something to make herself feel numb. how can you call that indulgence?!
      you can get addicted to anything. doesn't matter what the reason for getting addicted is. people don't get addicted to something just because it is fun, they get addicted because it satisfies what they need in their life and can't achieve. i was addicted to online gaming for almost 7 years because i couldn't make friends in real life. i had to drop out of college because i was spending all night playing video games and couldn't attend my classes because of that. i don't blame video games for that and I'll never say online gaming is a bad thing, but i'll also never say addiction to online gaming doesn't exist. ignoring the fact that the internet, gaming, youtube, and things as such are addictive doesn't make the problem go away. it just makes it harder to recognize.

      Jumping to conclusions based on dramatically insufficient evidence perhaps?
      Many things may have set off this spiral, some of which may be in her family and others may be found in school, or elsewhere. It might also be a physiological problem caused by something messed up in her brain. It also may well be what lakamokolaka says, but the amount of information we have is very far from sufficient to come to any kind of conclusions. A psychologist who talks to her directly might be able to say a good bit more, but we are just people who saw a story on the internet. Who knows what the problem was?
      Trying to assign blame or responsibility says little about the actual issue, and serves mostly to expose our own bias.
      It is also possible that whatever it is that initially set it off has died down but that the defense mechanism has grown to be more than a defense mechanism. Even if the problem wasn't an internet addiction at first, it might be now.
      A good rehab center for addictions should be equipped to handle most of the possible issues that are at play here, including trauma because of some family issue. Regardless of the cause, there is a good chance that this is a step towards a solution.

      The entire mindset while fighting the Germans in World War 2 was very different than the one held when fighting the Japanese.
      Not only this, but Germany had been swept up into a dictatorship and stuck in a position that left a lot of the German people afraid of their own leadership, neighbors, and even children, whereas Japanese were wholeheartedly dedicated to their country, it's actions, and it's leader. Japan was facing serious incursions from Russia and was attempting to seal peace with the US as fast as they could, but only with the US because they felt secure we would leave them their Emperor. The last part about the emperor I can only vaguely recall from a documentary in High School, so don't be shocked if it's wrong.

    • @Rainfall7
      @Rainfall7 7 лет назад +2

      +shadowsivice1 you're right, but it was not that black and white. Japanese indeed were dedicated to Emperor and all mighty Japan, but that was the way they lived for decades at that point. Japan at that time was pretty millitaristic and also dictatorship to some extent. People lived to serve the state not by choice, but because they honestly didn't know better. Also don't forget that people didn't even really know, what is millitary doing outside japanese borders, etc etc
      And yes, you're right! Americans had to keep Emperor the Emperor, and move the blame on Tojo Hideki, because otherwise Japan would never surrender. They needed the allmighty emperor say "We've lost." It had to bee really dark time for everyone.

I suspect his comments weren't really his , but a parroting of emotion that have been passed down through his family. That being said , i also don't like the whole attitude towards japan on issues like these. It appears as if people have seen a certain very large , very nationalist set of people that live right next to japan shouting about the imperial empire and it's bearing today quite a bit , and easily bought into their reality simply because there is a lot more of them shouting about it. I do not want to mention the country directly , because i will be accused of holding views that i do not , probably. It has lead to many misconceptions especially regarding the supposed "denial" of warcrimes and textbook indoctrination.

    From the past to now there is a big decrease in people actually getting out and doing things together as a family. My generation did not have cable tv, the internet, and home game stations. We had to to go outside and play with our sisters and brothers. Our family went out and enjoyed outdoor activities. If we played digital games we had to go to the arcade and drop quarters or tokens. We had a life outside the living room and tv. This depression driven world is caused by families not being a family. Parents not raising their own kids. Most parents don't even know what the kids are doing and who they are hanging around with. I see this as the problem in the American home and society. Parents don't raise and teach the younger generation and they have become sheep in a world full of wolves in sheep clothing. Thanks for your video's and the way you put them out there. Being a racist isn't illegal, we can't throw people in jail for saying something racist or insensitive, and we can't silence all "hate speech". Then you're trading racism for tyranny. Either we live in a free country and have to listen to idiots and try to change their opinions, or we live in a tyrannical society that bans free speech for "the good of the public". And of course it is so dangerous because social media companies benefit from this and have every incentive to make us spend as much time as possible online.

We are also starting to change the way we look at and treat addiction, so that will help a lot as digital addiction is going to be a huge problem, bigger than it already is.

    In regards to youtube addiction, I can honestly say that I've been an addict to a lot of things for at least 1/3 of my life. I overcame a dependance on alcohal, k2, cocaine, acid, and the hardest of all was my overcoming my addiction to morphine which actually physically hurt me to do. It was hell. I'm even 1 year free of cigarettes now.
    So I know what it is to overcome hard addiction, yet the internet is something I can't get away from no matter how hard I try. I tried to stay off for just a week once and didn't even make it 24 hours.
    I think its for 2 reasons, I've been using video games and internet since I was little. Without realizing it society has placed an addiction on me that is about 20 years strong. Not to mention its hard to place exactly what is so addictive about it unlike the effect of drugs which are easy to understand.
    So I would even go as far as to say that the addiction is far worse than that of even some of the most addictive drugs, but its just usually not as harmful in ways we can see.
    I know I'll beat this addiction too someday like I have all the others, I haven't lived through the things I did to lose to something like this, but as with any other addiction, you can only beat it once your ready to do so.
    Good luck to anyone else fighting anything, I wish you all the best. It gets easier someday.

    Hey Phil, I'm actually familiar with the facility your talking about. I was a patient at Paradigm and while I agree with you in terms of the metaphor being a little over the top I don't think it should go to disservice the entire facility. I was brought to Paradigm for suicidal attempts, and personally speaking I can say that it gave me the skills necessary to move forward in life. And just from personal experience I can say that I don't think their trying to push a narrative to make money. I don't think that it was RUclips itself that led to this girl attempting suicide; theirs definitely a lot more going on. But I would agree in the sense, that anything consumed extremely and not moderately can and will consume you. Clearly this girl, grabbed onto something as an escape (and no it wouldn't hurt her like meth would), but it could very well go to ruin her life and I think its good that they're working to validate her feelings regarding the situation and make RUclips something she consumes only moderately.

Technology is being used as a scapegoat. Yes this one instance happened to involve the child attempting suicide via overdose but in most cases, technology and RUclips do help with these mental disorders. I mean, it works for me and a lot of others I know. I could just be generalizing.

During the time I had to ponder back and forth on how to go forward I did use youtube as a distraction. For many years that has been the case, during hard times I'm on youtube, a lot. Hours and hours a day. It hasn't impacted anything in my life but my mental health, I have made it through school fine and all, so I wouldn't call it an "addiction", but rather, as you said: I overindulge. It's a form of escapism, watching other people talk about their life, watching entertainment. And I think thats the point of this: it's entertainment. Of course people are going to go overboard if they need some way to distract themselves, this isn't new, it's just another form of using entertainment as escapism.

It hasnt been discussed yet if his doctor warned him at all or messed up in his research when prescribing these drugs. It could be tiger took a cocktail of drugs like vicadin or xanax and thats the real reason he passed out, but for the current story, just blaming him and not the doctor for not knowing exactly how different drugs interact is misplaced blame. hell, bruce lee died because of this.

      Cluelessness vids - yeah, and Michael Jackson, right? I think so. And so many others.
      But honestly, I don't think the fault can all be on the doctor. Nor do I think the blame should fall on Tiger. I'm personally of the opinion that meds are handed out too freely and aren't really for everyone. Sometimes they really help! But other times, things get weird...
      I recently was in the hospital for my back (1 herniated and 1 bulging disk, couldn't get up off the floor for a week, couldn't walk or sleep, non-stop-pain). The nurse gave me OcyCodone 10mg and Valium 2.5mg. I had a panic attack where I was hyperventilating, screaming uncontrollable, crying, had a bronchial spasm, couldn't see... it was bad. The nurse kept telling me to "calm down and let myself relax with the meds. Stop fighting them", but I wasn't fighting them. The more I tried to relax, the worse it got. Feelings of doom, despair, saying things I can't remember, trying to walk out... it didn't end until the meds started losing their effect. I don't remember a lot about that day or the week afterwards.
      I've taken both before. Tonsils and Wisdom Teeth. But for some reason, it just got weird. Nurses and doctors can't figure it out, and were even telling my parents "is she allergic to anything? Are you sure? I have been doing this 20 years and have never seen anyone react like this before."

      hello as a prescription drug taker myself my pharmacists always asks me if I have any questions. The bottles have instructions usually glued to them. And most stickers on the bottle say take and see how you react to this medicine before using heavy equipment. My doctors shouldn't have to teach me how to read or ask questions about medicines that I might be taking

    Something that bothers me about the Texas Rep. story was Renaldi saying "the Democrats and my colleagues " when they should all be colleagues to him. This two party system creates so much poison and animosity in how our country is run I see this incident as a sign of a huge problem that will only get worse before it gets better, if that ever even happens.

    • @Cincinnatus99
      @Cincinnatus99 7 лет назад +14

      Cyan Florkowski this isn't a really a two party system thing. All this violence and hatred among politicians started with the election of Trump. I never heard of any huge protests/riots/fights when Obama was in office. The problem is that the media/trump haters spread and encourage people to get mad and act against whatever trump does. Unfortunately, when people get angry they tend to become more violent which leads to altercations like this. People need to learn to calm down and stop letting their emotions get the better of them. If you don't like something that trump does, you have a right to be upset but don't let your anger turn into physical violence. Turn your anger into something positive such as having multiple people write to your congressman about the issue. That's just one example but there are many ways people can band together to get things done without having to turn to physical violence.

      Yep it was Trump that did everything. Hillary turning everyone against her into a racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic, islamophobic scapegoat to why she wasn't 50 points ahead had absolutely nothing to do with it. Definitely wasn't fault on both sides. Nope, couldn't be. Emotions can definitely be proactive after a good night of crying and rioting for a solid week. Also everyone is a hivemind who all take orders from their leader to be violent. Remember that the Generals who endorsed Trump and the KKK are all in the same boat and are all the same amount of racist.

      Steven Weese "All this violence and hatred among politicians started with the election of Trump"
      That's one of the dumbest things I've read today. Not the worst, but pretty close. This has been going on for years, and actually getting better over time. The recent decade long break without someone getting sucker punched(that we know of) was a record. The hatred of the "other side" has been there as long as we've had a political system. Just be happy it's not one to two hundred years ago or so when they'd throw each other out into the angry mob at the door.
      Cyan Florkowski The two party system has a LOT of problems, but this isn't one of them. Even back when we had multiple viable parties, this sort of thing happened, and often happened worse. And, outside of presidential elections of course, we still DO have multiple viable parties, as seen by the fact that they can win seats and local elections. Presidential election is a lost cause for third parties, though. As for it getting worse before it gets better, it's already been getting better. The issue is that technology is making it easier and easier to see the crazies, and people are reacting to the crazies by becoming crazy themselves. The politicians and the bullshit they've been doing hasn't actually changed, because it's always been a matter of them getting pissed at each other over who is "right" about which way the country should go, and who can score the corporate bucks to make that happen.

    So a lonely kid found a place to help curb the depression and self-hatred, found a way to escape from the negatives in the world around her, tried to kill herself because of said depression that she was trying to escape from.
    So clearly the internet is the problem and let's spend more than the average American earns in a year on a 6 week program.
    Those parents don't give a legit shit about their kid. I hope that kid comes out okay, because I can't imagine she will.

      mrfusspot I can see it both ways. I dealt with Internet addiction for many years, being online for 12-16 hours a day, depending on my schedule. It caused me many physical problems like eye strain/blurry vision, neck and back pain, and a feeling of being disconnected from reality (disrupted my ability to recall memories), etc. It can be horrific for some people.

    • @SharpEdges47
      @SharpEdges47 7 лет назад +4

      Tiger Lark And so the solution should be to just ship your kid off to some rando asking $10k a week to fix a problem that can be solved by talking to your child and restricting access? We're going to put children in an inpatient facility because they spend time on the internet, ignoring that there are root causes being completely ignored?

      @bluephoniex6356 7 лет назад +3

      mrfusspot well I feel the Internet Did get in the way of her getting better and talking to someone but I don't think it was the main problem, probably would die down once depression was solved. • @SharpEdges47
      @SharpEdges47 7 лет назад +3

      Blue Phoniex Sure it got in the way. But the solution isnt to remove your 13 year old kid from your life for a month. The solution is reduce access and force interaction with a loving caring parental figure. And have them enroll in activities that interest them to help them break out of that self-built shell.
      But if these parents loved or cared for this child, this conversation would never be happening

    For the last story, I really have nothing against mexican-americans. I really don't. I consider myself more liberal than most people, so it feels a bit strange to be going against the Democrats. But something about the fact that there were allegedly people with signs reading "I am illegal and I am here to stay" grinds my gears. It makes me so uncomfortable that there are so many good people who work hard to come to America just like the rest of us did, and then there are people who think that not only can they just waltz in and declare themselves Americans, but that they deserve equal protection to the people who did it the right way, who pay taxes and do their part to keep America running instead of giving us another problem to deal with.
    And then for that mexican Democrat to go up there and threaten and push around someone else, as if he can do whatever he wants, it makes me more and more inclined to support the Republican in this situation.

      You don't know what's going on with your kid. Depending on how attentive you are, you basically have been watching your kid fall down the rabbit hole with no understanding of why.
      You may know that since she started watching RUclips more, she started coming apart, but she's still coming to you and talking to you about your issues. Take away her solace, whether you think it's a good idea or not, and she will probably stop trusting you and talking with you about her problems, and now you really don't know why she's falling down the rabbit hole because taking away the phone didn't help.
      Or at least I don't think it would have helped. It sounds like this girl felt alone and cast out. Some people take it well, make it their own, but most can't handle it. Perception is reality, and even if your parents are there to help you, if you only see the lack of respect and attention from who you want, you will still feel hopelessly alone, and if you can't take it, it will kill you. I think she tried to escape that feeling and tried desperately to get that attention, but it either didn't work or didn't help, and it pushed her farther and farther.
      Long story short, I'm pretty sure the phone itself wasn't her problem, so taking it away could have made things worse if the real issue wasn't immediately targeted.

    I'm 29 and disabled in the UK, with many varied health issues meaning I can't work and still live with my parents (mum is my carer). She and Dad often tell me I have a RUclips / internet addiction, as I'm often on my iPad on the net for about 8 hours a day. Partly as I literally can't do much, and partly because my health issues cause me an excruciating amount of pain (on the most painkillers now than I can ever be on which will eventually stop working for me, and they barely work now), and RUclips/internet allows me to escape the world and the pain. So I can completely sympathise with Olivia as it can be a great escape tool. My parents call me 'addicted' but for me it's one of the only things I can do to keep going.

    The definition of addiction is a repeated compulsive behavior despite negative consequences. Although vastly different than "meth or heroin", just because reward seeking behaviors exist on a much less intense scale does not make them not addictions.
    Although I do agree that people will obscure this into the typical grandfather rhetoric of "internet is bad, books and pushing a hoop with a stick is good", I don't think its entirely helpful to take away from the severity of a situation because of fear of the public generalizing the problem. Mental illness, like addiction, can take all types of forms and is generally a mask for a deeper issue. To label such a thing as "over-indulgence" could be harmless or could deter people from realizing the severity of some of their addictions and avoid seeking help.
    But what do I know, probably addicted to youtube as well!

The resulting high that serves to fill in what is missing from life and which acts on the dopamine reward system reinforces the behaviour, and that combination of escape and reinforcing is where you get psychological dependence (obviously tolerance and physical dependence comes with it as well). Is overindulgence into sex/exercise/internet/etc. to escape reality and also gain a euphoric high really much different?
    There is an underlying social issue for this girl that needs to be resolved, and treating her like we would treat an 'addict' is not a good idea. I do think that raises the larger issue of "is the way that we treat 'addicts' right". I would argue that it's really not.

      Kivan - this is an amazing point. I also tend to agree with you.
      Going farther down this rabbit hole would lead to "what constitutes addiction vs overindulgence". I suppose if you feel that you cannot stop on your own, it becomes an addiction. (Then there is the argument of things that physically make you addicted, like heroine or cigarettes, and things that only seem like like they do, like compulsive eating, which I don't think really tampers with the brain... but I've been wrong before so be kind).
      Whatever you want to name it, the misuse of social media is a problem I think is getting worse. Branding someone an addict, especially with the current stigma attached, may not really help. Mostly because her situation isn't rare.

    As someone that lives in Arizona and has many friends in border patrol... I can tell you having the police to have the right to question someone being legal and working with border patrol is not as big of a deal as people are making it out to be... when I am in another country and I am speeding I have to show my passport to show who I am and that I am allowed to be there.... why can't we do that as well.?

    • @monrque

      Tracy Schrack you're absolutely right. If we go to another country and we outstay our Visa they can Deport us. If we go to another country illegally they can put us in jail or Deportes. in the United States we ought to be able to deport someone who is here illegally. I know people who got their citizenship. it took a very long time and I think it's unfair to those people who worked to get their citizenship. I believe there should be a process if people want to come over here and work. maybe show their work pass for however long they are working in the country. then bring that pass back with them when they leave. I don't believe in complete open-borders I don't think it's a good idea for the Nation's safety. just because I don't believe in complete open borders doesn't mean I'm against people coming to this country.

      if someone is pulled over for speeding they do have to show id with or without this law, what this law does is allow any police officer to legally ask for proof that you are a citizen of this country if you are suspected of not being a citizen. in other words a cop could see someone with darker skin walking along on a sidewalk and force that person to show proof they are a citizen of this country just because of the color of their skin - this would violate the 4th amendment to our constitution.

      Tracy Schrack the problem is with how we deal with immigration as a whole.
      Firstly, it takes ALOT of time and money to make it into the US, whether that be just a visa, or a full blown citizenship. It can take anywhere from 5-10 years, and thousands of dollars. However, most people dont have that time nor that money to come here, but some of them just cant stay where they are.
      Secondly, our immigration judicial system as a whole is an under funded, overworked monstrosity, where judges can actually be FIRED for not working fast enough. This means that people who might have just forgotten to renew a work visa live in fear, because if they try to get it renewed they might just get kicked out instead.
      Thirdly, we do what you said already. If someone is pulled over by the police, they must show identification as well as driver information. If they lack identification, something an illegal immigrant would lack, they can be arrested. What we don't do, however, is things like proof of identification when voting, which has been shown to greatly reduce the voter turnout.

    Whoever wrote that statement for the democratic side, seemed to write it as such as to twist the truth and play on emotions and using "clustering" (broad strokes vs using pinpoint accurate statements). Doesn't make it seem very genuine, and begs the question as to it's legitimacy.

      You shouldnt be surprised. Disregarding political stance, every politician always issues statements that makes them the good guys, and the other parties involved as the instigators. Until overwhelming evidence shows those allegations as untrue, and then they'll revise the statement. Or until it utterly blows up in their face, and then they'll issue a forced apology, hoping it blows over. It doesnt matter if they are Republican, Democrat, Liberal, Green Party, whatever. Politicians will always be like that, no matter where they are.

    I have friends with family who have died in wars, but that hasn't made them racist or bitter. I understand that everyone copes with sadness in different ways, but coping with hate just breeds more hate and certainly doesn't make me sympathetic to anything you have to say.

    olivia wasn't correct to see suicide as her only option, but being in an environment so toxic that she's punished for how she copes won't raise a rational child. she doesnt like that she feels like she must resort to such extremes, but she does it because nothing else has proved to work or wasn't necessary. she needed to escape and was told that how she did it was the worst action out of actions she feels obligated to distract herself from.

      BPoe07 if her parents can't see that they didn't help prevent this and continue to blame olivia for HOW she coped with an environment they raised her in, they might as well force-feed her the tylenol she thought she needed to deal with their marriage problems. they aren't making her kill herself, but they're allowing her to continue finding means to just deal with the home they control.

      When you do things too much it can become unhealthy, especially as a person gets older. Any time you are to the point where you are checking your phone in school, getting agitated and impatient at people when you can't see your latest video that is a problem that can carry on well into adulthood if it is not curbed. You don't want to be working a job addicted to the internet and trying to sneak a peek at your phone instead of working.
      To add, there are a lot of inappropriate things on the internet for a girl her age. There are children who have done things online that have gotten them killed, raped, and even locked up in jail. Monitoring children and even teenagers online is very good parenting. I'd be more skeptical if they just let her waste away, being exposed to anything and everything on the internet without monitoring it.

      BPoe07 no matter where her parents send her, their daughter will come home to the very environment she needed to cope with. and after her parents sent her away for how she coped, she now thinks that she's the problem and not the home her parents control. of course olivia resorted to suicide, her parents sent her away to fix a problem she never wanted to begin with. no child wants to think that they are better off dead rather than living with parents who won't change for her sake.

      I agree, I think a big part of the stress with divorce or confrontation as such in the home is the stress of feeling you have to "choose" between two people you love. It might not seem like that is the case, and it may not even be the case but thats how it can feel. I think this is less a case of addiction so much as a cry for help. She tried various things and the internet was able to cloak her stress for a while till it started even being unable to do that. In the end she was probably exhausted emotionally with having to feel stressed and being someone who is afflicted with Depression and Anxiety that kind of home life as well as lack of social outlet in school can be a perfect storm of heartbreak.

      david hahn i'm assuming she's an only child, because she identifies so much with the anger between her parents as if she plays a role in it. and by sending her away for trying to cope, she is labeled as the reason for getting sent away instead of her parents letting their behavior harm their child this much.

    One of the many problems with social media. People make comments that are way off base all the time. But the second you let something like that slip on social media it becomes a huge life altering event. It seems every week we find a story about a comment made on social media that resulted in that person losing their job and/or messing up their life.

    But he didn't drive... the fact his emergency lights were on, it's possible he sat in the car, realized how jacked he was, put on the flashers and decided to try and sleep it off. Something Phil does a lot is he gets something that emotionally effects him and it effects his ability to take in the narrative as it is. You have to give some benefit of the doubt. You need to be neutral if you're going to be this news source for impressionable people.

      He didn't know how far away he was from his home, it's on the side of the road away from his house, and he didn't know how he got there. The logic stands that he drove to that spot under the influence. If someone else drove him to that place, why didn't they just drive him home? Why would he be in the drivers seat if someone had driven him to that place? I fail to see your point here.

      Benjamin Price if the keys are in the ignition it is a dui regardless of intent. happened to my father who knew he could not drive and had no intention of driving. he went to the car to wait for my brothers to leave, put the keys in ignition to listen the radio, put seat back and went to sleep. was woken up by a cop who ultimately charged him with dui although he had never even put car in gear.

    I myself am a rather stressed teen, and I spend a lot of time watching RUclips, which helps me cool down. I understand somewhat of what's going on with her, with all the different things going on, it's hard to try to be happy when no matter what, we always run into the same problem, we long to be noticed by others, we don't want to be a perfect child, we just want to find happiness, and in the end, it's a lot harder to reach than just using a video streaming app.
