Hi Rob. Well all I can say to anyone who is watching this: It works with newer model Canon cameras and Yongnuo flashes. I have a Canon 77D and Yongnuo YN-568EX II HSS E-TTL. This worked a treat. Thanks enormously for your very easy to follow and enthusiastic video. It's still enormously useful five years after you posted it :) Here's a recommendation to anyone interested in this channel: "Watch Rob Nunn videos. They're going to be useful for years to come!"
Hi Rob.. Many thanks for an excellent, informative video in 'plain language' that we can all understand..With your help, I was able to get the results I wanted within a few minutes. I had been thinking that the setup was probably complex, but your relaxed, informal description convinced me otherwise. Thank you..
Thanks ROB for the great video. All of the others seemed to be overly complicated and not very instructional for beginners like myself. I was able to utilize my YN-500EX using your direction. Thanks again.
Great video. Easily understood. Bought my flash over a year ago and never used it thought it was too much hassle But since seeing the video have been using it regularly. Thanks for making it really easy.
Awesome video! I've had this setup for 4 years and swear by it. Was able to get the flash off Amazon, and has been a work horse!! Also, love my T3i...I shoot portraiture with a Sigma 17-50mm 2.8 EX HSM. My next lens will be a Canon 70-200 2.8 II. Thanks for a great video.
Hi Rob, Yes I found your presentation most helpful. You mentioned in passing that it was possible to select either Canon or Nikon on the flash control setting, having pressed and held the Zoom button. I have a Yongnuo YN 565 EX which is set up for Nikon but I now have a Canon 600 D and want to change the setting to Canon. I am unable to find anything in the handbook (might have missed it of course) so any guidance you can offer on this would be most helpful and much appreciated - it will save me having to sell the flash a buy another. Thanks Noel
Noel Fletcher Ok, Yongnuo do a different version of the 565 for Canon or Nikon, and you've got to get the right one that matches your camera system. HOWEVER, both types can be wirelessly triggered by both Canon & Nikon commander units (or Canon / Nikons with the commanders built in) - so if you've gone the wrong unit you should still be able to trigger it remotely, but it won't work properly went mounted on the hot-shoe. I haven't got a Nikon, so I can't test this, and the manual is pretty vague, so I could be wrong.
Hi there! It's a really informative video about the YN565EX, but I have a question: How is it working as an on-camera flash with a 600D? Is it still automatic like as off-camera? I plan to buy a YN-565EX II, but I would use it mostly as an on-camera bounce flash. So is it manual (and fiddly for me, as I never used any external flashes) or can it be used as simple as the built in flash? Thank you in advance.
Can I use internal wireless flash on my 600D with internal radio transceiver on Yongnuo 560 mark III manual flash ? YN 560 III has internal transceiver to connect to several flash system. Just wonder is this internal transceiver will work with internal wireless transmitter on my 600D Thanks
Rob, I have now found how to get the flash working wirelessly - However, it will not work when attached to the camera. Do you have some form of idiot's guide that I could follow?

For info here: in this mode this flash in Manual only. No TTL support.

I'm not sure I'm afraid. Check the yongnuo manual / website and see if it's compatible with the Canon wireless system.
This was great. knew my canon was god. but after i bought a YN 660 i found out it i great....... thanks.
