Of these shots you explained, the one I have found very useful to recover position is to go hi thru the parallel with my forehand, lots of top spin and putting the ball hi on my opponet's backhand. Great explanation guys! Well done, great video
Guys... You're assuming RH player to RH opponent. Do the tactics & recovery positions change for a RH player and a LH opponent? Your hitting partner is looking a little slow. 🤣
Thanks Team. I really like two concepts you came up with. First, earning the right to go down the line and second making sure you have the intention to do something with the cross court ball. I definitely find myself just hitting the cross court. Deep, wide, down the line seems like a good basic pattern to aim for!
@@TopTennisTrainingOfficial I think that some special lesson for beginners that have problems to let their arms and wrists be relaxed and fluidity of movements. The most believe that arm generate the power and is difficult to understand how to hit the ball softly. Thank you Simon for being devote to our sport! Cheers
Excellent lesson boys. I am not sure if you have done this video yet, but if not, could you cover heavy topspin balls hit to the backhand side, especially for one handed backhands. It really is tough to hit high bouncing hard topspin.
When I try to hit an open stance attacking forehand down the line (because the return is weak) I end up hitting the net or outside the court. Do you have a lesson for that?
The high percentage play wouldn’t change, these rules are universal as the court dimensions never change. However, against left handers, you may want to expose their backhand side more and change patterns but that would require some higher risk play. Hope that makes sense, All the best Simon
Thanks for the lesson! I'm wondering if my opponent plays a down the line shot, what shot should I choose? It is simply to go for the cross-court now? Thanks!
In general yes, as they have now given you plenty of court to aim into and are out of position. Use the width of the court to exploit their decision. All the best Simon
Tennis modern forehand (semi westen) Do most pros finish with the windshield wiper motion? What happens to the wrist and forearm during contact ? Does the forearm rotate?
One-handed backhand’s looking a little better…taking racket back higher appears to give you better leverage for easier power. I hope it feels that way.
Aim for his feet, make him volley up firstly and then look to pass. Just inside the service boxes can be your target, he’ll hate low balls at the net. All the best Simon
Guys of ttt pls help me, I always earn a short ball( I am good at it) but I am not able to kill that short ball to win a point, every time I try kill that short ball , it goes out.... Pls help me guys of TTT
They have a couple of videos on this topic, check them out: How To Finish Easy Balls - ruclips.net/video/Eips4jD7R-U/видео.html How to Kill Short Balls - ruclips.net/video/mS4o-_cQBnk/видео.html Crush the Short Ball Drill - ruclips.net/video/-va8QipDXxc/видео.html How To Kill Short Forehands (Before Contact) - ruclips.net/video/D5x9C81uVAM/видео.html How To Kill Short Forehands (During Contact) - ruclips.net/video/kSSutDFVuXc/видео.html I personally struggled with this as well. Besides watching RUclips videos I also took a real lesson with a coach recently. And although I didn't do very well at the training (missed about 50% of those, but it was just too intense, I was dying, so I just couldn't do better :D) I still got much better at it in the following matches and finally understood the main principles and it somehow started to work. From my point of view the most important thing is to get to the ball really quickly so you give yourself time to "dance" around the ball in case of a bad bounce or unexpected spin. The second important thing is to take the higher short ball on the rise or at the top of the bounce, rather than let it drop too much. You want to hit it around the waist level, so you don't need to make much of a curve for net clearance. And obviously you want to hit the ball in front of you, so you can kind of throw the whole of your body into the shot, instead of hitting only with your arm, which very often leads to errors. You can't be afraid to really go for the shot if you want to kill consistently. Definitely check the TTT videos for the footwork before and during contact. Good luck!

The guy in green looks like the actor who play the a marine hulk? Where he has spikes in his back and elbows 😅
Why does Roger look at the court longer on his serve than most people??
Before he serves or after he’s made contact?
Before. He always looks at the opponent longer than most people
I assume those courts are not laser levelled !!! Where are they?
Oxford
This is a simple playing Strategy
Yes, but not everyone knows or applies it and they may not understand the principles behind it.
