- I found a popup scammer operating in Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir and decided to track the scam payments from the victims right back to the scammer's bank account.
The journey involved tracking the payments from victims right back to the scammer's personal bank account. The police got involved too.

I just picked up a scam call from "Amazon" and told them (in my best Jim Browning accent) that my name was Jim Browning. They called me a motherf*cker and hung up - made my day 🤣

When he started yelling at that old lady I genuinely felt fucking awful. She was so genuine towards someone who was adamant on stealing a large sum of money from her and he treated her like she was less than human. Glad to see this piece of shit get exposed to the public, as well as all the other scammers you identified.

They should put up signs in the checkout lines at Target, Walmart, Best Buy and any other big retailers that sell gift cards with a warning like "Are you purchasing gift cards to pay for tech support or to reimburse a banking error? STOP you are being Scammed!"

At my local CVS, when you try to purchase a gift card, the credit card reader shows you this warning and forces to you acknowledge it before you can pay for the card. It's a little thing that I hope makes a huge impact.
That won't do a damn thing. Stupidly gullible people are persistent. They'll just push right through with what they're doing. Besides, as someone who works in a retail-like environment, I can confirm that most people are oblivious to signs to that are right in front of them.
It is often extremely hard to convince people that they have been scammed
I'm autistic and I'm not stupid by any stretch but I am very gullible sometimes and don't always put two and two together so these videos are really helpful to remind me of how these scams work
If they don't let you "think about it" then they are likely scamming. Whenever I make any purchases over $100, I always always take a day to think. I have almost been scammed because of the same reasons
My son also with a disability believed the scammers, lucky I was there to stop him …. This was a few years ago.

I'm a long time subscriber of Jim.,..what I learned from He's videos....I pass it to my friends....telling them to guard their senior relatives from being scam by this evil demons.
Jim has made a huge impact on scam awareness in Australia due to recent interview with an Australian broadcasting television show.
Our landline has not rang for over a week now. Usually they ring non stop up to 15 times a day on average.
I'd like to hope that I'm making a small impact, but it's more likely that they're on holiday or something. Still...

Many RUclipsrs do videos on how these scammers prey upon the elderly. Watching these has help inform me of their tactics, and yesterday, I was able to help talk an old man out of giving them gift cards that I had noticed he was buying while I was standing in line. After going through their typical script, he realized I was saying the same thing they had told him, and he came to his senses.
Thanks Jim, Mark Rober , Kitboga, Rosie, and the countless others who make scammers lives miserable.

I work with the elderly, often mentally ill patients in a counseling center who have often complained about scammers calling. I have mentioned your videos to one of them, and one elderly patient enjoyed your videos and said, “I’d love to see that fella [mentioned you, Jim] shake these scammers till their teeth rattle!” 😂

I've shown my grandma one or two videos of Jim's and I truly think it helped her understand what to look out for! on top of the forgetfulness of age she isn't the most educated or well-read woman and suffers from an abundance of trust. I love her dearly and am grateful for the aid in keeping her safe!

thank you Jim. my father who is 75 came home with a handful of Visa gift cards. and only because of me watching this channel I knew something was up. turns out they were telling him he was going to go to jail if he didn't pay $1,500 it breaks my heart thank you so much

Me watching these videos out loud has saved my mom from a couple of scams. One time she got a call and once they asked her if she had a computer and to download AnyDesk to complete some sort of refund, she was very aware that it was a scam and promptly hung up.

@@mala3isity My mother says she's always thinks of my videos when she gets random calls, I didn't even know she was paying attention to them. I watch them for background noise and I guess she picked up on a few things. Now that I know she's more aware, I share her these videos!

I always wondered how people fall for the scam of needing to buy gift cards but hearing the scammer say "I don't want your credit card information, this is safe because I don't have access to your account"

Nobody who works in customer service would talk to people like how these Indian scammers do. They yell, insult, and speak improperly, "i'm not here to kid. Pay the freaking money". No idea how people fall for them lol.
There are employment scams and they do the same tbh. Or they get your account details for direct deposit as an excuse as well.

man the output that you have is insane, this type of content was rare to find years ago, and now theres so many. makes me happy that theres a community out there doing right. working retail i caught so many people trying to buy gift cards for scams, many of which would get so upset at the fact someone did that to them. Sadly the berating and trying to blame them for something they never did is all too common.

This channel is so much better than scammer payback. The tone is way less self indulgent and there are some actual results rather than just some guy talking to a call centre in an old woman’s voice and maybe deleting a few files after a 25 minute long video.

@@SnrubSource While making an example would help to deterr people from pursuing a life of crime, execution reduces effectiveness of this tactic significantly. A dead criminal is quickly forgotten and won't warn anyone about the consequences of a criminal lifestyle for the sake of selfish gains.

I'm from India and Many of my fellow Indians(including me 4 years ago) are also scammed very badly by these tiny fellow citizens.
Most of these people are not caught and go unpunished.
We are helpless, and there's no strong punishment by authority to these tiny group people even if they are caught very rarely.
So, Please don't blurred these black sheeps who are bringing bad name to India and scamming good people across the world when you caught and exposed them.
So that everyone will know them and even others will also be frightened to do such things.

Today I successfully got a scammer to call me very very racist terms. He then proceeded to put the entire call centre on the line to abuse me. I wasted at least 4-5 hours of there time with fake bank statements and receipts. Thank you for videos man. The inspiration you gave me is invaluable. The entire COD lobby was loving it

Jim I watched Market Place a few months ago and want to thank you for helping this gentlemen.
So glad my Mum at 90 is still as sharp as she was at 50. She still refuses to use her ipad and hates using her cell when she travels to Vancouver for visits.

When my son was about 11 years old he entered a Jaycee Relay Race. He’d never ran track before and didn’t know everybody wore shorts. He came in jeans, to everyone’s amusement. He ran the last leg for his team - and came away the fastest runner of the day, and made up considerable distance to win. This video made me think of that day. How I wish I had been able to see it, instead of only hear and read about it. I was a single mom and had to work. My son was an amazing athlete. ❤️
