- Every season of Big Brother needs a great villain. Well, that's not true, but a GREAT season of Big Brother always has a villain of some sorts. Villains have the ability to define an entire season, and today, we're going to be looking at the greatest villains of all time.

Firstly, she just acted like a two-year-old. I don’t find that very intimidating.😅😅
Amanda and Dick def deserve the top 2 spots. I'd put Paul a little higher. He psychologically and emotionally manipulated people on a level we'll probably never see again on Big Brother, and he still managed to get to the finals both times. Blows my mind how amazingly smart the guy is when it comes to strategy, but how incredibly awful his jury management was. If he had shown any empathy at all, he would have won both times. But I guess that's what makes him such a good villain.

@@Sarah-qm2qd - I don’t care what pronouns HE uses nowadays. Even if you play that nonsensical pronoun game, HE was clearly a HE when he played both times. So it’s absolutely proper to call HIM a HE. If we’re talking about Bruce Jenner during his Olympic days, we would say HE won a gold medal, not she.

She could have been such a great villain had she owned it. She wasn’t a villain in 16, and I would’ve called her a hero then for sure, but she slowly started becoming more villainous in 18, and had she totally accepted the role in 22 I would have loved it

Yeah, there's an obvious difference between being a villain and being a genuinely bad person. If you're going to be a scheming asshole, you should be that way to everyone rather than being selective with it. If only Amanda stuck to her guns when she called out Ginamarie and Aaryn she could've been one of my most enjoyable players ever but she had to start racially attacking Candace out of nowhere.
It always seemed to me like she only clued them in to keep up appearances.

Amanda could have been one of the most popular and best players to play the game had she not done a complete 180 throughout the season. She started by confronting and verbally targeting the racist people in the house for being racist, but then started having racially motivated confrontations herself. Had she not done that, I would love her considering a huge reason she hated Elissa is because she was rlly passive aggressive to her and body shamed her
Amanda by far is one of my all time favorites. What an underrated game. She lost because she got outfoxed by Andy. Losing to someone who is better to me does not discredit their game. Mind you, Amanda would’ve taken McCrae to F2 and lost most likely in a unanimous vote, but she really did rule that season with an iron fist.
Amanda absolutely destroyed that game and if she wasn't going up against one of the greatest players of all time (in my opinion) she most likely gets to the end. She probably loses, but it was still a very strong game
This! While I don't think BB15 has a likeable cast and that the season is fun to watch, it's insane the level of gameplay that gets swept under the rug in BB discourse

Paul played such a great villainous game. Better jury management and they would’ve won. They made everyone feel like they were working with Paul and at the end they had no one’s back but their own.

This video really is a cautionary tale if anyone wants to go on the show. Paul loss because they were a villain, Danyelle lost because she was a villain, and Dan lost 14 because he was a villain. U can be a villain and win but you definitely have to find the line and apologize at the end.
100%, there's a very fine line where you can be the villain but still have the respect from the majority of jurors, or at least more respect than the person sitting next to you. It's hard to pull off but we've seen that it can happen
It’s complicated cuz you don’t really see that many heroes win the game either. It just depends on the season & cast
@@clovesevina9763 Of the winners, you have Lisa/Drew/Jordan/Ian/Steve/Kaycee as the heroes, Will/Jun/Maggie/Boogie/Dick/Adam/Dan/Rachel/Andy/Derrick/Nicole/Josh/Jackson as the villains, and then there's the players like Hayden/Cody/Xavier who come across as the nice guys, but aren't above pulling moves that could be considered villainous
@@NYChica23 I think the part that you neglect to mention is that, among the villains you list, Will/Jun/Maggie/Dick (kinda)/Adam/Dan/Nicole/Josh all won in some part (And in will and Josh's case, in very large part) due to sitting next to bigger villains than themselves. Also, Derrick will never be a villain in the game. That jury LOVED him
@@brianregan5933 Derrick definitely played more like a villain than Cody did, so that's why I classify him as one, not because the jury hated him, since it's very possible to play a villain game and still have the jury like/respect you enough to want to award you the win

I'd love to see this with the Canadian version of heroes and villains, a lot of iconic villains come to my mind with Neda, Jillian, Beth, Kaela, Bruno, Tim, Victoria, and Kevin (season 10)

I love Paul in 18 hate him in 19. Amanda is actually quite entertaining. It’s clear she was trying to use Dicks strategy. But female villains aren’t seen in a good light
Nah the drama was entertaining. She wasn't. Dick is entertaining and fun. Amanda was just massive a-hole with no redeemable qualities.
Ethan, my dude, your videos are getting better and better. I love the structure of your videos so much because I get your analysis and the clips to back it up. I think a lot video essays/video analyses are structured like an essay without necessarily regarding its format. You craft your videos along with the format, the nature of television and video, which makes them more engaging then listening to someone just speak with a video behind it. Not that there's anything wrong with that structure, but yours feels really crisp and unique in a sea of other opinions.
I have a vid idea that sort of plays of this one how about the “Non Villains” people that were unfairly viewed as villains by the houseguests. So like libra from bb10, or Tyler from bb22 and so on…idk I just think it’s interesting once u actually think about it
Dan and Dr will, will forever be the best villains. They never talked shit about anyone or used racism and bullying as strategy.
Will talked his fair share of shit and that's why he's hilarious.
In just BB7 there's things like his DR talking about Howie's two braincells fighting each other, and how he saw Janelle whoop James' ass, etc

Thank you! And I agree with what you said, Amanda had more control and I believe is a better player, but Dick is just so much more infamous. He had his own theme music, which made it difficult to put him anywhere other than #1
The funny part about Russell from BB11 is he was actually one of the more likable people in the jury house lmao like he was the only one not completely trashing the final 3. He was the only person who even attempted to highlight anything positive about Natalie. He seems like a genuinely nice guy outside of the house lol
Literally in the jury who was the most calm and least bitter one outta all of them while Jeff aka America’s Sweetheart was horrible

BB23 was her first season and we just finished BB16 together and she was saying how good Derrick was from the first few weeks hahah. I’m upset you didn’t put Alison on this list. Alison from BB4 was a villain with everyone. She cared about nobody’s feelings and pretended to be friends with people to further herself. She also wasn’t afraid to flirt, kiss, make-out, or even sleep with any guy in order to further herself in the game.
paul was actually crazy on their second go around. they used their stage presence skills to manipulate literally everyone, it was insane and ultimately boring to watch but still next level manipulation.
You should make a top 20 version of this sometime, or top 25 cuz this is juicy
As a Nicole F fan, like she’s actually my favorite, I have to finally admit that she could’ve been such an icon villain if she didn’t try to go back and forth with how she wanted to portray herself. Once again coming from a fan, I finally see how much better she could’ve been for reality tv if she talked about how evil she was in DRs and had fun with it
Im a sucker for Nicole too honestly. And bc of how she would cry and feel bad after evil moves, i NEVER even thought of her as villainous. Until ethanimale said it in this video the thought hadnt even crossed my mind. Then i realized she TOTALLY was.

I stopped seeing Russell as a villain the moment he said, "I swear on my dad," with a Crack in his voice and meant it.
Vanessa was a villain definitely but lowkey u can argue Steve was too. He was tryna come off as a sweetheart but really he was a menace to society especially in the end game

I think a couple of them have, but most of them are still plenty happy having voted for Lisa. They not only kinda disliked danielle, they REALLY liked lisa. This isn't a paul v Josh scenario. Its more akin to Jordan v Natalie

Had the jury been in isolation, and not have been able to see the footage prior to voting for a winner, danielle would have definently won. Over half the housr loved her and at some point said they trusted her and would vote for her. 😊
Evel Dick will always be my favourite houseguest, his clips are always so entertaining. It's a shame he had to leave the game early during his 2nd round.
From an interview earlier this year, it wasn't even his decision to leave. Basically the producers called him one day and told him he needed to be checked on by doctors outside the house and he'd be back. The whole ordeal ended up taking almost the entire rest of the day and by that point he'd already been outside the house for "too long".
If you go too his Wikipedia it says the reason he had to leave was because he tested positive for HIV

Amanda would be ICONIC if she came back and displayed her power and strong personality but because she was a part of the most controversial season of all time, nobody from that season can ever come back 😭😭. I was shocked how loved she is but unfortunately Amanda is someone you just had to be there 🤣

I really think Tyler has to atleast be an honorable mention he was so villainous but secretively it was great I think he’s probably the best player to not win even though he got robbed by a terrible jury
Personally, Danielle Reyes and Vanessa from bb17 are the best players to never win the game because Danielle literally got screwed over by jury members watching the entire season unfold (which I believe is the reason why they had jury sequestered from then point on) correct me if I am wrong, and Vanessa was going to win had she won the final hoh.
Jury management is a part of the game as well, and Tyler literally told Bayley that he didn't care if she didn't vote for him. Lack of jury management doesn't make him the best player to never win in my eyes. He is a phenomenal player though.

I agree w this list but what's interesting is that they mostly have the same basic look. Josh (honourable mention) was the most diverse. I'm not saying that these dudes are prone to being bad. I'm more wondering why they're able to get away w more than other players. Shout out Mickey, Jack, Paulie, Cody, etc. But yeah, some definitely did pay w bitter juries.
Danielle is a black woman and Paul is non-binary I think. You have to have a very specific definition of diversity to say Josh was the most diverse.
Big brother isn't very diverse. The show is 70% white and the villains skews towards earlier season where it was even less diverse.
What is true is that there's a leaning towards men.
