The bracket on the exhaust is for a piece of flexi aluminum tube which draws warmer air just after the engine is started in the cold. It should also work of a vacuum, a pipe that connects to the front of the air box which works a flap inside of the intake. Hope this helps, keep up with the great video, takes me back to being a child in the 1970's 😢.
Originally fitted air box had to be manually moved to winter / summer setting by moving the pipe towards the exhaust manifold for winter and towards the grill for summer. That airbox fitted to the later Viva and Chevette's used vacuum line from that diaphragm to the inlet manifold to change it over , there's a valve inside the air box must have a bi metal strip in it

The fitting above te manifold is for a foil & card ducting for hot air from manifold in to filter box for cold weather to heat the air entering in to carbon.
That exhaust repair reminds me of the Bean tin and plenty of Gum Gum trick my dad used many a time 😁 Ofc with the biggest jubilee clips you could buy 👌🏻.

Warmer days will soon be here! Can you put a pancake air filter on and richer the mixture so it sounds like twin 45 Weber’s? Maybes like 😂 Great videos, keep it up mate 👍🏼
You've made great progress! There used to be a short length of what looked like aluminium "concertina" type hose that ran up from that bracket on the outlet manifold and up to the that other bracket/hole on the air inlet. It acted to pre-heat the air entering the carb.
We in NZ only ever knew it has a preheat hose, in the end I clamped mine to the snorkle end only with a clip, left the manifold end loose with constant engine movement. The earlier hose would sometime work loose and disappear. Thanks for raising the bi- metal strip, would have nearly forgotten about it.❤
Morning Steve. Youre missing a couple of bits. A flexible corrugated hose from the air filter" flappy thing" to the "round thing over exhaust " ( love your description for parts ) 😉 Pre heats air in winter stops carburettor icing.. and a bracket from the sump that keeps your clutch cable in place and stops it melting . Youre nearly there for your big adventure on the roads. Congratulations on 4k . You deserve every single one. Think there was about 40 of us when i subbed.
Looks like the missing bits are airbox mounting bolts ( incorporated spaces ) one each (2), preheat hose & clamp under aircleaner ( I think you call them jubilee clips in uk ), not sure now whether the RHD clutch cable has any securing device. I remember the LHD slant 4 was problematic at least for vauxhall to export to canada 🇨🇦 and Benelux countries with engine over to the left. Look forward to the end result.😂
Another great video my friend. You are going to go from strength to strength with new subscribers. Unlike some of the other channels yours is genuine and honest, plus you are yourself and you are not trying to be someone you aren't. Keep it up.
Good job Steve, as Geoff said it's a warm air intake for winter weather. Bit of bendy metal pipe between the manifold and the air cleaner, looks like a mini flue pipe haha. Would have had a vaccum pipe to the bottom on the diaphram to open the flap once the engine heats up. Need to get yourself a welder for going forwards mate, could have buzzed that exhaust up in two mins, anywho, cheers for the upload and grazt on 4k subs mate.

I did dark days for years hard work switching back to days after two weeks. I remember a guy who got that fed up of people ringing up in the day and waking him up he would search for ads in the Echo and rig them up at 4am and ask is the Everton top still for sale? 😂
Thank you for another great video, the pipe on the air filter pointing down should have another pipe that fits onto the pipe on top of the exhaust manifold, it is for summer and winter setting the little lever on the air filter switches it from front intake (summer) to bottom exhaust manifold (winter. Try putting exhaust past on that new short nice and shiny pipe.😎
I've replaced all the other lines, those were the last 2 bits, I've heard of way to many classic cars burning to the ground because of the little bit of fuel line to the Carb splitting and leaking onto the manifold, so better safe than sorry 👍

@AdmiralDG thanks mate, yeah, she does, doesn't she, she's a bit loud when the choke is out all the way with the blow in the exhaust, but has a nice burble when warmed up😃
The 150 stromberg with thermostatically controlled snorkel was the method of escaping from summer / winter settings of its predecessor. The mounting bolts you don't have, will have sleeves acting as spaces, thus not crushing the plastic airbox (AC), I think. The paper / tinfoil snorkel hose between chrome manifold shroud ( twin exhaust droppers ) to air cleaner snorkel activates the valve inside the airbox itself. I think the air filter has a short bit of pipe from the exhaust manifold to get warm air it you have a thermostat in the air filter that opens and shuts the flap which is work by vacuum that's the small pipe Anyway enough waffle Good trumpeting btw 👍👍
the nozzle coming off the exhaust manifold is probably for a pipe that runs to the air filter housing - it would provide warm air from the exhaust manifold during the winter months
