Just for info, if not aware, almost all ecus are needed to get the canbus working, including the ones in the doors, rear, body, airbag, fuel pump, centre info display, dash, underbonnet. Some can be coded out using vauxcom. Fuel pump is returnless and you need the pump from the tank. Dont scrap the shell with the tank and pump in like i did! There is a workaround using a combination of filter with pressure relief and one way valve. You will need the entire car loom.

@thetrackslag5480 also bear in mind it's electronic throttle, so options are limited for standalone ecu. Many don't support it. It is likely possible to code out the immobiliser and end up with a simpler setup. I just went with what was there for my project. The complete fuel pump assembly is unobtainable as a replacement by the way!

@@thetrackslag5480 do you know about the Brazilian 3 door MK2 cavalier When I get round to doing mine I’m also going to convert a cabriolet into a three door along the same lines as the Brazilian version but using the rear 5door quarters, crafted on to the cabriolet shell, I have a drawing of what I’m aiming for

There was some super cool tunes around when the Cab came out ...realise you can't use those but maybe the YT audio library has something electronic similar to the era, low and bassy dnb lol👍. I'm only one person mind....maybe others like it
@@nigeltorr7132 It’s not rotten by any means, it’s got rust obviously but it’s solid enough. And the vxr was cheap as chips as it had done 217k and was bought as a donor parts car for my mums vxr estate.
@@The_Car_Stalker i haven’t yet, 😩 it’s an absolute pain in the arse, I’ve gone through two 2 pin pullers that I had to modify to get in the holes, they either broke or pulled the metal in the wheel, it’s been an absolute nightmare! I’m going to have to cut it off. 🤦♂️😂
@@thetrackslag5480 yeah the Sri’s subframe extends all the way forward and bolts to the lower front cross member !. I did loads of things with mk2 cavs back in the day, I once fitted mk2 Astra gte rear discs on my Sri !.

I find voiceovers very difficult atm, unsure why it just doesn’t feel natural for me, sound of your own voice and all that, but I’ll take your point into consideration. 👍

You need a cav sri/sri130 front subframe as they are so much better than the standard short subframe you have there !.

i tried putting 1 in a mk3 an there too tall. with the bonnet closed the transfer box hangs out the bottom 6-8 inch
