I’m thinking of buying another CVA wolf. I had one a few years ago and when you take it apart you can use a flathead screwdriver and remove the firing pin assembly and I used the parts soaker and it cleaned up good. Just had to sit and stare at the firing pin to remember the order you put it back together
Just finding your channel. Nice over-view! I got the CVA Wolf Stainless V2 and used it this season. Got a doe and a buck. Both around 50 yards. Honestly, i had always steered clear of muzzle-loading due to the cleaning needed while shooting them, but the introduction of the White Hot powder (clean burning substitute powder) got me back into trying it. The White hot powder burns cleaner and costs about the same as normal black powder. There will always be people hating on modern in-line muzzle-loading, just like those that use compound bows that hate on crossbow hunting. I think if your getting out in the woods with friends and family, use what you feel gives you the best chance at a ethical kill. Take care and Merry Christmas to all!
I have never shot an animal with any of my three inlines but I find those Hornaday SST's to be very accurate in all of mine. I also like the powerbelt ELR's, they do carry very good with their high BC and at 330 grains I'd think they'd hit hard. I've got an old Hunerbolt Magnum, a wolf, and the highest priced Optima they make with the good scope on it. Nothing to bust gallon jugs at two hundred yards with it. I like all three. The cheap Wolf is all that most people need.

yeah the wolf is a really good muzzleloaer for the money. your right it is all most people really need.
I agree with ya brother. Love my Optima
I'm interested in getting a Boyd's walnut stock for my wolf
I wouldn’t mind getting one for mine but I think I need to paint the stainless befor I do that.
Can the Optima barrel be changed to a 308? 10:39
Idk. But I’m sure the right gunsmith could
In idaho bullets must be pure lead i believe. No copper
op v2 vs wolf v2 wich u think a better deal?
Better deal would go to the wolf. But I would still spend alittle more money and get the optima

Does cleaning the muzzle loader make you use God's Name in vain, if it does, get rid of it.
