Corbin is an awesome tuner. Real cool guy got my 2017 wrx pro tuned by him. I make 356 with e85 and couldn’t be happier. I’m very confident in his ability to do a great job. I’ve had my car for two years now and never had a problem.
Corbin is a real great guy he tuned my wrx 2017 back when I lived in Indiana. He’s a great tuner as well.
🔥🔥🔥 Keep The Vids Coming We Wrx Guys Want To Feel Confident as Always
HAHA yeah easy for the WRX to get a bad rap since it has the weak rods.
Keep em coming man. I'm running stock block full bolt ons minus header and intake manifold 330WHP 350ft. Lb torque to the wheels. I'm putting 1 gallon of e85 to a full tank of 91 octane @ 65K miles 👍
Do you have am upgraded turbo?
@janbakker9866 no, I was running a stock turbo. Traded in the WRX for a 18' Sti
Keep the videos coming, I've got a similar setup, stock block 83,000 miles
Working on it, we'll see how shes holds up during the track-day...
How’s she holding up
she holding up?
I’m going to take it you daily this car? I can’t believe that block is still going haha everyone on the internet praise that it blows at 350 haha keep it going man
Im at 94k so it’s nice seeing how this build is going! Getting dyno tuned by Snail Performance with
Cobb Flex, IBR TGV, EGR, ETS Catless J-Pipe, ETS Intake, ETS 3.5” FMiC, Perrin Turbo Inlet, Perrin motor mounts, GSEBCS, Boomba BPV, DW300 Fuel Pump, Mishimoto Radiator w/fans & Killer B Dual Reservoir Along with ACT Clutch set. I hope to nerf the specs a bit too for reliability because my next plans are to go widebody! So it’s interesting to see where yours sits in terms of high miles stock block.
Did it blow yet?
Any update?
“We’ll leave it at 414, no need to push it “ 😳
Nice build bro! Just through on some mods of mine own and having Corbin do an etune at the moment can't wait.
Love keeping up with this build! How different is the power band with the ets and manifold? Also, what are your oil temps B4 and after the oil cooler?
The manifold gives about 20-30hp more to the overall power-band, It's hard to tell on my car since the TQ is being nerfed a lot considering the mileage on the stock block.
For the oil temps, they've gone up a lot at idle moving the cooler to the top. Temps are decent for driving around. I'm going to look into a different solution. Also I have a track day coming up so I'll be closely monitoring temps and do cool down laps as needed.
Damn that WRX sounds good AF
"block" can hold 4-500 whp without problem, the interesting parts is pistons and rods are
they are stock??
Yeah it’s still on original stock internals
@@nosubswrx no way what that’s crazy
Just seeing this video for the first time. Is the stock block still alive?
Great numbers on 93!! That’s wild. Good vid tho man keep it up!
Interesting.. STi trans - is that just the gearbox or entire system with driveshaft, rear lsd and electronics gubbins?
I'm 98k miles, stock block, got everything but the FP haha. Also you forgot to put the Nostrum in the parts list. How's the DW300C holding up? Mine is dropping pressure during pulls, but I believe I forgot the spacer 😅 I'm fixing it today.
Almost 100k! I'm back on the stock HPFP as the Nostrum crapped out and lost pressure after 4k miles. Cars running great with DW300c and OEM HPFP on e60.
@@nosubswrx Yessir, been tuned since 6k miles. And no way, it failed on you??!! Good to know, glad you got it sorted out. I'll be watching mine carefully after I fix the DW. I still see 3000PSI from the Nostrum though, I'm hoping it holds up. I just want to run full E85, even if it's on a conservative tune haha
Love the build. I am trying to figure out safe ways to pull more power out of my FBO 91oct 18 WRX. Any suggestions?
Bro you're so baked at the start
i'm on the dyno next week can't wait !
Sweet!
Love the build, will prob do this on mine
Dope build. Do a video of your impressions at the track!
That’s the plan if she holds together out there hahaha.
hows the wrx holding up still on the stock block?
amazing build! sucks people are not subscribing.. been following since 3d zero lol
Thanks for your support, sub count or not this cars still amazing to drive.
What numbers were you at before this recent protune ? Sick car bro
Thanks, my last protune day video is on my channel.
What were your dyno numbers before the BRZ manifold and front mount install? Also what is your torque number sitting at before and after those installs?
All that info is in the previous protune video on my channel
Do you track this car much? I'm considering the FA20 WRX as my next platform, has the FA20 been reliable with stock internals?
My and this car’s first track day are coming up soon. I’ve done a few tail of the dragon trips and a lot of backroads driving with the car. The stock rods are the weakest link for the Fa20 usually keeping the tq around 350 and under is common to keep these blocks together.
2015 and up chassis is 40% stiffer than previous model WRXs and STi. Stock twin scroll turbo for the WRX spools by 2500 rpm but most tuners ram the tq in after 3k it pulls pretty good till 6k then falls off. How they track long term I’m not sure.
No Subs WRX looking forward to seeing the track action!
I watched this the first time back when my car had 20,xxx miles thinking damn I doubt I’ll be there but I’m sitting pretty at 74,xxx making ~415 on e60
Hi I was thinking about getting a 15 wrx and wanted to know how well it runs pass 400?
@@malik6795 runs great until it doesn’t. Depends on luck past 350 and my luck was a fuel pump cut out at 6800rpm and 23psi and put a 12 inch hole in the block. I do recommend the cars they are great when taken care of properly but at those levels with a stock motor it can get dicey
hows the block holding up?
How long did it last?
How’s she holding up?
any news if the block is still holding?
i believe in the stock 400whp gotta do the same tune
Yeah this tq has about 20 less than the last map due to the high mileage block. Once built it can be fully unleashed on this dyno but it will still probably make around 480whp.
@@nosubswrx when you building the block?
Not really sure
What boost were you running on the 93 pull?
God damn I need to sti trans swap my 18 so I can push her like this
STi transmission in this car is amazing, it for sure feels more track ready than the WRX trans.
I've seen a wrx trans on a 500 HP 2016.. Its all the other parts that you need.
What year BRZ manifold will fit the 2016 wrx?
is this with stock turbo?
*Vin Diesel's voice* Not a bad way to spend 20 thousand dollars..
how much boost?
What wheels are they? What width and offset? Cheers
18x9 +35 AME(Enkei) TM-02
Is this FP Blue turbo or stock turbo?
FP blue
Subbed!!
Just need 8k more.
Stock injectors?
Yeah
👍👍👍✌🏾
