I am constantly amazed by how few views you get for your videos. You have one of the most interesting walking / hiking / camping channels on RUclips. I watch many channels and I can say with confidence that no-one else does more to make their videos interesting and informative as you do Tom. Your attention to detail, along with amusing side-notes (and cider reviews) are a real pleasure to watch. When I look at other channels and see that a video is over 40 minutes long, it often puts me off watching. However, when I see yours (like this one at over 41 minutes) I know I will enjoy every minute of it. I don't subscribe to any channel, but yours is always ready to pop up whenever I reload my browser. I really think many channels that do similar things could learn a lot from how you come accross on screen. You give advice when needed about camping sites and pitches, the terrain and water supplies, and so much more. I applaud you in everything that you do. You enjoy life and enjoy it every day. What more can be said?
That's really lovely to hear mate, thank you for taking the time to leave such positive feedback. I will keep trying to put out videos as often as I can, work permitting. I'm aiming to get my Halloween video done some time this week and then carry on posting the SDW videos. Busy time of year for me regarding videos. Halloween, fireworks night, Christmas, new year's eve and then my birthday I try and do a wild camp for each one!
Bahaha 😂...I was going to say how gutted I was that you diverted away from the sewage works, but the local bird population put in a protest for me !! 😆 Nature's wonderful, innit? 😉 It's lovely to hear how you met Hambo 👍. Dawn was on top form again...walking side by side with Hambo, until the end when you were approaching the pub, when she shot off into the distance like Jusain Bolt 😁👌
Thanks again Tom - Dawn & Hambo Some real nice scenery and peaceful looking tracks, Mmmmmm heard of the South Downs but another place I've never considered visiting, looks a great area. Cheers!
hi Tom and Dawn lovely Section of the south downs way and was lovely to see hambo too. and you have reached half way as well so a big achievement i look forward to the next one 😊
Hello mate! Great video as always. It was so great to do this walk and camp with you and Dawn and of course, to meet Dawn finally! I really enjoyed the whole adventure - thanks again for inviting me to join you guys. I guess you've finished the whole of the SDW now! Thanks for the channel shout out too - much appreciated. Take care and hope to meet up again in the not too distant future - I think it's time for you, Mark and me to get together again! ATB 🙏👍🏕
Glad you enjoyed it mate it was awesome meeting up again. Dawn really enjoyed it too. At the moment we have 2 sections left, both ending at Eastbourne, the different routes, one inland and one along the cliffs. Definitely need to get mark out again and do a camp with all 3 of us!
Hi Tom. It's great to see you back on the South Downs Way. Your videos are very entertaining and enjoyable. P.S. I am watching them from Outer Mongolia of all places. When I return to the UK, I hope to walk many of the trails that you have done. Kind Regards.
Glad you like them! Thanks mate and Outer Mongolia sounds amazing, bet the weather is a bit different! I suppose instead of tents they have Yurts out there.
what a nice suprise on a Saturday morning you dawn and hambo on the south down way over the years michele and I enjoy your walks and history attached keep it up guys
I was practically parked opposite you last month , brought back lots of happy memories of our short walk up the river and along the railway line.. Great video content .
Lovely video of the journey, the sunflowers are so nice to see. Your videos have inspired me to get out and take on segments of the Ickenield way & Harcamlow way. I have also visited the Royston cave and the site with Anne Boleyns heart thanks to your information, Bignor will be next. Keep up the great work.
Hi Tom, Great video this buddy as are all of your videos I've watched so thanks for sharing. I live right on the doorstep of the sdw just 2 miles from Jack and Jill windmills on the east/west Sussex border so I am familiar with a lot of spots and have wild camped a few. Amberly village is one of the nicest on the route and I have camped under the footbridge you crossed in the summer, and being a high diver i have thrown numerous back flip's and gainers off the top of that bridge as the water is very deep and easy to get out of 👌! Keep up the good work,i particularly enjoyed the grain tower battery video with yourself and Kent survival and hope to wild camp that myself soon(and yes I will throw a couple of flips off that too as it will be deep enough on spring high tides)! Be awesome to meet up with you guys one day to trek and participate in the cider reviews 👍! All the best, Neil.
Thanks for watching mate and the kind words, I've loved the SDW so far, I've only got the 2 routes that both lead to Eastbourne left to do, Jevington and Seven Sisters routes, plan to do both before Christmas. You're braver than me, I couldn't high dive into water! That'd make an awesome channel theme though, you wild camp in places where you can high dive in the morning. Always welcome to join me mate, message me on Instagram or email me and I'll see what I have planned for early next year.👍
Nice video Tom. I came back to my car once to find it was covered in vomit, It started on the ground up the bonnet over the roof then down the boot then finished on the ground again and it actually smelt of vomit, No way could someone have done that standing near the car, my guess was it was a low flying light aircraft and someone chucked up, probably spewed out of the window. 🤢🤮 Nice. And yes went straight to a car wash.
So what is that music at the end of the video? You have used it before, but the link for 'The Story Unfolds' takes you to something completely different.

Glad you’re back. Here’s a tip - Sainsbury’s are doing a three selected ciders for six quid and the vintage cider is pretty good. Atb mate.
Thanks for the tip!

Love this! Always enjoy walking in the South Downs. When did you film this?
Thanks. Earlier this year, early summer I think.
Wish I were there to have fun with you
Nice video Tom.

🤣🤣 that's gotta be a low flying aircraft, that is incredible, you can't make that up! Thanks for the story mate!🤣🤣
So what is that music at the end of the video?
You have used it before, but the link for 'The Story Unfolds' takes you to something completely different.
It's simply called Inspiration and it's a piece that comes with my editing software so I don't have any links unfortunately.
Are you doing a Halloween wild camp this year😊
Kind of. Did something for Halloween this weekend just gone, didn't quite go according to plan but I've got a video of it to edit.
