Very good video , Thank you i will do this service on my newly bought 2018 Trafic 1.6DCi so this is very helpful to know what i will need to perform it as smoothly as possible.
Finaly someone showed how to change the filter not just replacement, nice thanks man! Only problem is this cheap replacement i got lack screws.. solid round stuff. can punch it out i guess :P
Because you bought a version that is not meant to be opened. There are two versions: one where you replace the whole unit, and the other version is like in the video, you open your old unit and just replace the insides. First one is more expensive but its much easiser to do, second one like in the video costs a lot less, but takes more work

Great video, I wanted to ask if you know if there is a cut off switch on this van as I own the same van 2021 but the van has issues on starting, it’s cranking but not starting
Thanks for watching and for your question! Yes, there is usually a fuel cut off switch (inertia switch) in many vans, including the 2021 Renault Trafic/Vauxhall Vivaro. It's typically located around the front passenger footwell or near the engine bay. If your van is cranking but not starting, it might be worth checking the switch to see if it has been triggered. Also, ensure there are no issues with the fuel pump or any blockages in the fuel lines. If the problem persists, it might be best to consult a mechanic. Hope this helps, and good luck!
Great video. I'm wondering why did you pour diesel in the filter before putting it back in? Also why no one cleans the little metal filter that at the top (in the lid) of the maim filter. That causes many issues when it gets really dirty I understand like van taking ages to start from cold.
Thanks for watching and for your comment! Pouring diesel into the filter before reinstalling it helps to prime the system and prevent air from getting into the fuel lines, which can cause starting issues. As for the little metal filter in the lid, you're absolutely right! It's often overlooked, but it can indeed cause problems if it gets clogged. I appreciate you pointing that out-I'll make sure to mention it in future videos. Thanks again for your feedback!

Thanks for the video. Same on 2022 fiat talento 2.0 engine. I decided to replace whole filter unit to make the job easier.
Glad it helped, good luck with the job
Thanks for the video, Charlie. What a ridiculous design by the engineers. They should be made to change these filters a few times.
Thank you. Your right
