I've worked out on traditional heavy bags ruclips.net/user/postUgkxp9-sf95nqfjey-uyzxUzQ7m9MXRPK1BE a spherical stuffed "wrecking ball" bag, and now this thing. What I like about it is that it has the heft to stay largely in place so I'm not chasing it around. It's tall enough to allow for headshots and body shots, but it's short enough to give an uppercut somewhere to land. I'm very happy so far. Filling it was a bit of a cluster. For top-offs, I've learned that you can screw the supplied nozzle onto any basic plastic water bottle. I can't speak to durability as I've only had it a week.
Man i can't thank you enough for guiding a novice like me through the basics. I started boxing a few days ago and I'm loving every second of it. The feeling of getting physically stronger every passing day is absolutely unmatched. Thank you once again.

This video is simplistically perfect. I am doing this now and what a great workout. Best thing is I made a challenge to my two boys about doing this exercise just as taught. I said that on the double-jab I could only get to 50 before muscle failure. My sons are now into this and trying to one up each other, and of course, Dad. They are one-upping each other into excellent shape. Keep up the great videos.
I realise that some of your vids may be a few years old but I subscribed and I am finding them really helpful. I have a bad lower back from a number of accidents over the years and training right is the only thing I can do to help myself other than taking pain killers but I do love contact sports so another big thumbs up for this one👍👍👍👍👍
Just started this yesterday. Started with 2 sets of 50. Going to work up to 100 after about 2 weeks I would imagine once my muscles are used to it. Great videos, subscribed!
I like this video! Got my new boxing equipment this year and started alternating days between aerobics and punching/throwing jabs to work on my arms a bit; I also do cardio on boxing days to get the heart rate up, but I was doing that before I got the set. This also helps the abs and I'm looking forward to moving to the next level. I am excited about toning up and staying fit in my 40s!!
Very well explained and demonstrated. Classic boxing techniques from someone who KNOWS what they're doing. Exactly what I was looking for. Thank you! Subbed.
I am not sure how you put up with some of these profesional critical keyboard boxers giving you boxing advice Mike. This video is clearly aimed as an endurance workout, not meant to be looked upon for perfect boxing technique but just giving the bag a wack for a workout. So many keyboard experts out there. Look at the video for what it is people. Its not meant to be perfecting boxing technique. Other videos from Everlast Nutrition teach proper boxing technique. This video is not for that, but hey, keep telling pro boxers how to fix their technique keyboard boxers! This is a great workout on the bag. Really burns the whole upper body if you dont cheat yourself. Great video.
Lol...you have no idea. You are absolutely right when you say that these routines are meant to fight fat and simply help people get in shape. My hope with these videos was to get people to try something new that is both fun and extremely effective. I find it funny how some people got soooo upset with a few of the videos... lol I actually got a few threats from people telling me how they would easily knock me out or that they wanted to kill me.and I was shocked that people would get soooo worked up by watching a simple boxing fitness video. I live in montreal where I’ve have the privilege to get into the ring with world champion boxers like Adonis Stevenson and Eleider Alvarez ( just to name a very few) or top mma figters like GSP, Rory macdonald, Nate Marquardt or Denis Kang ( again just to name a few. ) Now I am by no means anywhere near as talented as these gentlemen yet I’ve done literally hundreds of rounds with world class fighters and I’m never the worse for wear... never hurt or knocked down and i doubt the keyboard boxers would easily knock me out either. My whole goal is to get rid of that tough-guy-bully mentality by showing people that boxing can be both fun and relatively safe if done correctly and that there is no need to be confrontational or aggressive with anyone. I’ve been around some of the best fighters in the world and most of them are the nicest guys you’ll ever meet and they would never waste their time trolling people on RUclips. I also aways extend the offer that if they feel they can create better videos then please do so and I’ll post them.... Again my goal with these videos is to give people the confidence to try boxing either at home or perhaps by going to a boxing gym and if these guys can create a better video to help people do that then I’m more than happy to pass it along. Lol... I used to take those negative comments to heart until I saw a video of lomachenko before he got popular and people out there criticized his technique and gave him a thumbs down...lol who can criticize lomachenko ...lol only those who know zero about the sport!!!! So you get those guys once in a while but most people who comment are very positive and encouraging and I am so grateful to them all 🙂🙂🙂🙂 I thank you so much for watching and for writing this comment 😎😎😎
@@fightyourwayfit Great Video man. People are so quick to judge something but you never see them trying to help others or teaching others what they know. Thanks for the workout tips. That shit is a very good cardio workout especially at the end of lifting!!!
You were absolutely right. It was just hard to fit everything in with the white background. I specifically did a footwork video …. So that people can see how my feet moved as I punch. Thank you so much for taking the time to watch😎😎😎😎
This exercise feels just right, not too hard but manageable, I just started yesterday and it really makes my hands hurt. The thing is, even when my hands hurt, if I use wraps/mma gloves, I don't feel the pain that much anymore, seems like a real boxing gloves would help throwing more heavier punches and the only thing that will stop me is stamina, not pain.
Thanks for trying it out. Even though it is a beginner’s routine it’s still pretty tough. You’re going to find that if you use wraps and boxing gloves that fit properly that your hands shouldn’t hurt at all. Then, when you’re pain free .... you’ll really start to have some fun and great workouts. 🙂

That's awesome and i wish you all the best for 2018 :)
This one is super effective, that's why please please please make a training video for Muay Thai!!!!

So you get those guys once in a while but most people who comment are very positive and encouraging and I am so grateful to them all 🙂🙂🙂🙂
I thank you so much for watching and for writing this comment 😎😎😎
@@fightyourwayfit not a problem.They are Great videos.
@@fightyourwayfit Great Video man. People are so quick to judge something but you never see them trying to help others or teaching others what they know. Thanks for the workout tips. That shit is a very good cardio workout especially at the end of lifting!!!
@@fightyourwayfit definately, boxing is the most complete fitness workout i,ve ever done -great fun

I think footwork is very important too. In my opinion, you should've shown your footwork in the video. Thanks for the tutorial!
Great for a beginner like me
Thank you for watching 🙂🙂🙂
Cool, I put up my heavy bag today after having it down for 4 years.
