Why Dominic Solanke could well be a bargain for Spurs and the reasons behind Postecoglous confidence in his ability. #alasdairgold #wearetottenhamtv #tottenhamhostspur #spursofficial
65m is the entire transfer budget for some PL clubs. If Spurs can sell him for a profit tomorrow, then he is a bargain but no club is even paying 65m for him. Spurs got the money to make it work. Ange is looking for a striker who is good inside the box. Kane or Son can pretty much score anywhere in the final third but Solanke is not a scoring threat outside the box.
The feed Dom will get from Spurs will be plentiful and of quality what I’m excited about is Sonny goes back to his true position. Sonny has worked overtime all over the pitch. I’m looking forward to the two of them building a rapport. Plus he will push Madder who gave zip after he came back from injury.
He scored 9 goals the previous season in a low block counter attacking side where his job was to hold up the ball and lay it off to wingers. The season before he scored 25 goals. He suits a certain role, he’s ideal for Spurs.
@@OhSoSpurs 22/23 season he got 6 league goals, and 21/22 he was playing in championship lol. Stop trying to polish a turd bro. I hope he proves me wrong but he’ll be lucky to net 10 goals this season. We need a minimum 20 goals a season striker.
Thanks Jim. Most informative analysis I’ve seen on the subject - not just on Solanke. You’ve almost convinced me he’s worth £65m. Only he can show he is.
@@stevemcnicholas2748 Interestingly he had a similar season to Watkins last season who is valued at £100m. They both scored 19 league goals except Solanke outperformed him statistically on XG.
Thanks Jim, really pleased with Solanke… great to hear the facts so eloquently delivered 👍😁

442 just posted an enthusiastically supportive analysis of solanske for spurs
Thanks, will be sure to check it out! COYS
Yes its a great analysis of why Spurs has purchased Solanke
Yep, in particular the heat map analysis was fascinating, comparing DS and Son to Kyogo….
It was a great breakdown on how he’s a great first for Ange. The young man’s skills are impressive plus he may give us another option in the air.
Hope Solanke scores a .... load of goals and proves people wrong!!

Yep in terms of resell value it’s his ceiling. He’s a good fit for Spurs and how they play under Ange though. COYS
If he repeats his goal tally of last season , in the next few seasons for Spurs , then yes he would be a bargain
Agree Andy, COYS

I’m hoping for some consistency and not squandering all those opportunities in offensive.
Agree. Hopefully Solanke brings that consistency! COYS
A bargain? You are joking right? Dude scored 9 goals in 2 seasons before last. Weak signing.

Yeah. English, proven goal scorer and an alrounder. Pre covid, man u would be paying 100m for him
